Came in for some eggs to go and there was way too much crud on it from the grill. Didn't taste great either. Come in pretty often and this was not good. Hopefully next time it's better. Scrape that grill please read more

Annie's Clark Brunch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

If you want the quintessential place to get a New England diner style breakfast...well, Worcester has lots of great options. But Annie's is among the best of them, and will always hold a special place in the hearts of folks in Main South and those who have called Clark University home at one point or another. Annie and her daughter and everyone who's worked there are all just fantastic. I love them all dearly, and they love what they do and who they feed. The small place has seen its share of renovations, but it's still full of warmth and love. The food is excellent and cheap. The French toast and giant pancakes are awesome. The bulkie roll sandwiches are great. The home fries are truly perfect. Sit down and drink a ton of coffee and enjoy watching folks come and go and chat while Annie shouts over the radio read more

It was my first time there because I had time to kill. It was good and the woman that took my order at the counter was so friendly and very attentive. I probably won't be in that area again, but l it definitely a cute spot. It was filled with college kids so I'm sure it is a hot spot during the school year. read more

I've been coming to Annie's for the last few years now. I highly recommend their omelettes. The staff are great people. read more

Annie's Clark Brunch - Omelette - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

I received the meal in less than 5 minutes but I wish the flavor was more memorable. I had a cheese omelette with extra veggies, rye bread and I was so impressed that they had decaf coffee. The omelette was a huge portion such that it filled the large plate but it had a lot of American cheese, an unusual amount. I'd definitely recommend if you need a quick fix when hungry. The menu is also pretty limited so you can only pick from simple breakfast meats, pancakes, eggs or bread. The service was outstanding though which covers for the old diner feel. read more

Hands down, the best diner in Worcester. You get your choice of potatoes with breakfast, and one of the choices would be tater tots. Why would you order anything else? Real eggs, not overdone. Nice! The coffee is good and they freshen your cup often. The pancake needs its own zip code! It's best shared with the table. Yes, for $2.75 the pancake is huge. But so is my ass. Friendly people, prices are good. And, I hear they make chicken pot pie on Friday. When's Friday? Soon, I hope. I'm going back. So should you. read more

With the school year almost at an end, this may be the last diner visit my son and I make, at least this semester. And if it does end up being the last one, well boy oh boy did we go out on a high note! Hands-down, no question about it, there can be no debate, Annie's Clark has the best vibe of the many we have visited over the last few months. The food was great, and we've got the photos to prove it, we lucked out when we strolled in late on a Saturday morning and sat right down, the service could not have been more friendly, fun, thoughtful, and we really felt right at home. There is an awesome griddle upfront, worked by the woman herself, and then because they pump out a serious amount of volume, there is a prep kitchen in the back that has got a bunch of stuff going as well. We sat close enough that we could see into the back kitchen, and being a food service nerd that was heaven for me. We got a little bit of joking razz from Annie, (love that in a New England diner!) and a sweet happy welcome - plus great advice on the French toast - from everyone else. I think if we drag anyone else to a diner in Worcester, it's going to be Annie's. And yes, oh yes... we will be back. read more

Food was good...busy atmosphere and server was nice. My friend and I sat a little too long but I was watching to make sure no one was waiting. The cook came over and nicely said they needed the table. We jumped up immediately and told her we totally understood. UNTIL she rudely said "sorry but you know that's the way we make our living" She was very snarky and kept going on about it. I have never been asked to leave like that and it won't happen again because we won't return. read more

Fast and inexpensive breakfast with friendly employees. Food was good, got an omelette with toast, average portions. Only a short wait on a Saturday morning. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is it being cash only. Would come back again when visiting friends. read more

My favorite place in Worcester (and top 2 or 3 in MA) for breakfast. First went there when my daughter went to Clark University. I now stop in when I am in Worcester on business. Walk in the door at 6:15 AM and before you sit down, you will be asked if you want coffee and the local paper. Offered a menu and will then take your order as quick or slow as you want. They make sure when you say home fries that you mean home fries and when I couldn't decide between whole wheat or raisin Annie suggested one of each. The 2 eggs, sunny side up, home fries, bacon and toast made a meal that lasted me the whole day. My cup of coffee was kept full during my stay. Wonderful service and a great meal. Definitely recommend you try it. read more

Pros: -Our server was attentive and humorous--a winning combo -Food was out in minutes -Old school diner vibe Cons: -Server or cook messed up my order -No whole wheat muffin options -- Egg, Veggie & Cheese Sandwich on English Muffin DELICIOUS! I can't remember the last time I've had such a tasty breakfast sandwich. I'll be counting the days until I can get another one of these. My only ding of -1 is that either the server or the cook forgot to add sausage to my order and I couldn't immediately tell because of the presentation (veggie/egg explosion in a tiny muffin). -- I'll be back! read more

Wait, what? I've never reviewed Annie's? That's weird. Annie's is actually the best. I was just in Worcester for Clark reunion ('11 whattup!!) and I ate there twice and regretted nothing. It was interesting because they remembered us. I know what you're thinking, they remember everyone. But like, we were never regular regulars. We were once a week, once every other week people. We didn't chat much with them. But they kept making references that proved no, no, they knew exactly who we were. Anyway, the friendliness and all that is just icing on the cake. The pancake. The delicious pancake. I could not resist ordering my favorite thing there, though--the egg and cheese. The best egg and cheese in the world. The egg and cheese that made me fall in love (with egg and cheeses). I rock my Annie's tank all the time and I gladly donated when they were forced to do renovations. I love it there. God bless you, Annie. read more

Annie's Clark Brunch - So greasy but omg that egg and cheese - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

Food was excellent and cheap! Service extremely friendly as well. Omelet was one of the best I've had in Worcester

Honestly the cutest little diner tucked away on the corner. The staff are awesome and energetic and the food is excellent! It's a very casual and small atmosphere with bar stools and normal 4 person tables. For lunch I'd recommend the chicken parm sandwich! read more

Annie's is a staple for Clark students and the local community. If you're in the area in the morning, you have to come here. Yes the seatings are cramped and the ambience is noisy. However, you will never leave unsatisfied by Annie's cooking. You get so much food, so much flavor, for great value. Whether you're in the mood for scrambled eggs, bacon (which she always gives extra of), chocolate chip muffin, or a sandwich, you will get a delicious plate of food. I've been coming here for 3 years and still absolutely love it. read more

This has become my favorite place for morning breakfast on Saturday mornings. Friendly staff yummy food you can't ask for more. Some of the best home fries around. If they were open Sunday morning I would also be there read more

I'd be remiss if I didn't write a review for Annie's. This diner (don't you dare call it a greasy spoon!) has been a linchpin of the Clark community for ages. Attracting everyone from students and professors to priests and physical plant staff, it's as much a neighborhood 'town hall' as it is a restaurant. Annie is like a 'mom away from mom' for a lot of regulars, as long as mom is a gregarious, ball-busting biker lady with a heart of gold. She offers sage advice and remembers to ask about particular details of peoples' lives. Her daughter Meghan often helps out, and she definitely takes after mom. If you're easily offended, Annie's isn't the place for you, but if you can take a joke, you'll be accepted pretty quickly. The food is pretty standard breakfast/lunch fare, but the portions are huge and the prices are tiny. Annie's omelets are the stuff of legend...ask her to put 'whatever' in one, and you'll be rewarded with the proverbial kitchen sink. Just don't ask for pancakes...Annie hates making them, and they take up far too much real estate on her grill. The only thing I don't like about Annie's is that it's 40 miles away. It's one of the very few things I miss about living in Worcester. read more

Basically, I haven't had a good meal at Annie's in the four years I've been in Worcester. Everyone raves about it non-stop but I've had some of the worst breakfasts of my life. My omelets come runny and wet, with mushrooms from a can. You can hear Annie yelling at her daughter and the other waitresses which is a huge turn off. Looking for great breakfasts? Go to Lou Roc's on West Boylston Street. You'll have the best meal of your life. read more

It's good! Basic diner food with a great price. Can't ask for more!

This place is right next to Clark University and has the worst hours EVER. It's only open from 6am to about 2pm on weekdays and 1pm on weekends. So I tried going several times, only to be shut down. sadness. Anyway, so i finally went and let me begin by saying that i LOVED fried, greasy food. So, i ordered a bagel and tater tots that were so greasy and GOOD! however, i think i underestimated the greasiness because later that day my stomach was SO not happy with me. I thought it could be a fluke so I tried again and had a burger. The burger was only okay. And I still ended up with an upset stomach later that day. So, I'm not going back. I don't think my stomach, or cholesterol can handle it. read more

My favorite breakfast place currently in Worcester. The grill chef Annie is a ninja at cooking breakfast... Fast and stealth. Remembers all the regulars meals as well. Pleasant staff, breakfast made the way you would at home for as inexpensive as if it to do it yourself !!! A must visit!! read more

It was my first time at Annie's yesterday, and I loved it! The atmosphere was bustling and diverse! It sits right next to Worcester's Clark University, and is great for the college students who are looking for an enjoyable breakfast. When entering in the restaurant I was greeted by the nice young ladies working the counters. The place was bustling and full and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. There isn't too much waiting space, although there is a small bench outside, and a chair in the corner of the store, but either way, we were seated very quickly. Others who also waited after us were seated quickly as well! This was around 11 AM on a Saturday morning to give you a feel. We (my boyfriend and I) sat in a booth - there were about I'd say 10-15 booths(not really quite sure- but that's a glimpse of it) along the wall and alot of counters space open next to it. We were seated promptly and greeted by our friendly and upbeat waitress. Service was quick and our waitress was enthusiastic and she knew what she was doing and was very through with our orders! We got our meals within 15 minutes or less, and it was fabulous. The homemade freshness of the ingredients used in my omelets were noticeable, and the portions were big and for a great price, especially for those college students on a budget like me!! Throughout our meal we were watered several times in a timely manner which I thought was great because sometimes at other restaurants they never come check on you, or they ALWAYS come check on you, but these ladies know how to do it right. Overall, the space might be a little problem for big groups as I'd like to take my family out here once day, however, it's great otherwise! Definitely coming back! Great local business. read more

Annie's is the best diner around, hands down. Annie is an incredible cook who runs a perfectly tight ship. She and her daughter Megan don't put up with anyone's BS which makes for a very successful, well oiled machine. They love getting to know their customers and regulars and will treat you wonderfully if uou do the same. I consistently get a bacon breakfast sandwich with homefries and it's always delicious. Ive heard the hash is also great if you're into spicy food! If you're in Worcester Annie's is the place to go, you won't regret it! read more

What can't Annie do? My only gripe is that she folds the hash in with the eggs in an omelette - I could easily resolve this by just ordering it on the side since i love to smash my face open-mouthed into her omelettes. She is nice as is everyone who works there. The motorcycle pictures are cool and the prices are so low a midget could hurdle them. read more

Annie's Clark Brunch - Coffee! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

On the sixth day God made man and woman, the complexities of the emotional state of woman being such that God needed a day off on number seven. But on that eighth day, I'll tell you whut, he came on down and made Annie's. And if he didn't, well by golly I bet he wishes he did. You can't find prices this low this side of Reagan, the spicy hash'll knock your boots off, and the staff are friendly in that way people pretend to like New York. The coffee is bottomless, the mac and cheese endless, and the muffins more buttery than a specific online video I'm thinking of that I have not seen. Frankly, if you make it past campus without visiting a washroom you're doing something wrong. I can't tell ya how many quality days with the guys and, truthfully, perplexing meals with my boy have taken place in those old booths, but I know it's more than I've spent anywhere else. Except with my wife. Best of all, they cook with the highest quality propane and propane accessories. I give it an A+, if that still means anything the way teachers hand 'em out nowadays. read more

Annie's Clark Brunch - Before class energy boost. Yuuum - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

Digesting their food as I type this. Super cheap... 2 people, coffee, omelets, pancakes, etc... tab was only $14. The food was lousy, pancakes were boring, service was uncoordinated, and overall just felt like I was eating amongst filth. The cook (Annie?) told her granddaughter, who was coloring at the counter, that "grandma had a cold" - something you don't want to hear while you are eating. It was an obnoxious experience. I can see if I were 19 years old and hungover I would love this place. read more

This place is my home away from home. It's where I go when I need to hit my reset button. Clark University would definitely not be the same without Annie and her restaurant. If you're expecting fine dining, forget it. But I love the food. I don't care what some of these other 'critics' have said, this is some of my favorite food. Annie's home fries are the basis upon which all other home fries are judged. Want to spice things up a bit? Try Jerry's home made salsa. I dare you. It may not be the right place for all. If you've got attitude issues or expect cloth napkins at a greasy spoon, this probably isn't the place for you. If you like warm comfort food, some great people watching and a great staff with more than a bit of sass (Annie and Megan are the best), you'll love this place. read more

If you love friendly people, a diner with character, and yummy cheap food, go here! Annie and the other women who work there are great. They have homemade vegetarian chilli and salsa to go with the fresh breakfast sanwiches, omlettes, and potatoes. A must go to. read more

Best diner in the city. Great food, great prices, even better people. The tots are a must try.

Here's the thing: you can have the best food on the world and be jerks. You can also have basic food and just be wonderful human beings. Basic and wonderful was my experience here. The food is nothing fancy (although, the fat kid in my heart did a little dance because they offered tater tots). They have a homemade hot salsa for the eggs and the portions are giant. We had a good laugh about people who want lemon in their water. The women running the place were morning people. Super friendly and happy and laughing at 6 am. I can't tell you how valuable that is to me although I can see how it might be too much for a non-friendly, non-extrovert who want to sit in silence and anonymity. They treated me like a regular even though we had just met and I was leaving town that evening. This is the second cash only diner I have checked out while in Worcester. I nearly passed on it because college hotspots tend to irritate me (due to the college students that accompany universities). I got lucky. With Clark on break, I got to have breakfast among neighborhood regulars. When Clark is in session, I betcha the vibe is totally different. read more

Best breakfast I have had in a long time, super reasonable prices, very straightforward menu, extremely friendly staff

A must visit, Clark institution. Immense value for money and down to earth service make Annie's a great place to be.

I'm so glad I came here, who knew that such a cute little place could be such a bang for your buck! When I came in they looked busy, but I was quickly seated at the counter and given a menu. The food is very comfort-food like and for very good prices. I can see why college kids love it so much. I got the eggs with cheese, which was really good for what it was and it also came with the best tater tots I've ever had. My mother's tuna sandwich was also very good with plenty of celery and fresh tuna. We were in a bit of a rush but our food came quickly and our waitress was very kind and helpful. Overall, Good food for good prices. read more
