    Delicious and filling breakfast!

Delicious food, friendly service and a nice, clean environment. We really enjoyed our breakfast here- many great options to choose from! We left happy with full bellies. I highly recommend this place!

    Salt and Pepper Omelet

Simple, quality, home style food. Nothing crazy, but tastes amazing. Prices reasonably. Friendly staff and quick service. Good seating area.

Location & Atmosphere Salt & Pepper is located at 268 Lincoln St, Worcester, MA 01605. It's a cozy little diner, perfect for a casual and relaxing brunch. When I visited, it wasn't very busy, making for a quiet and enjoyable meal. The place was clean and well-kept, with everything tidied up quickly. Food & Drinks I had the Pastrami Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious! The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, and there was plenty of smoky pastrami piled on top. The menu offers a great selection of breakfast classics, from fluffy pancakes to homemade corned beef hash. Portions are generous for the price! ‍ Service & Hospitality The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick with service. Even with a quiet atmosphere, they kept everything moving efficiently and made sure guests felt welcome. Unique Selling Point Great portions, homemade flavors, and a laid-back atmosphere. The Pastrami Benedict is a must-try! If you're looking for a no-frills, satisfying brunch in Worcester, Salt & Pepper is a solid choice.

Two eggs over easy, sausage, rosemary potatoes, rye toast

We stopped in for breakfast before the last leg of our journey to Maine and had a delicious breakfast. My go to is always two eggs over easy, breakfast meat, and potatoes whenever we try a new spot. The platter was excellent, with three pieces of sausage and delicious rosemary-infused potatoes. I wish they had the fat sausage links, but these were serviceable. My husband said his omelet was great. He subbed cheddar for the feta in the Breakfast Club omelet. Our girls got breakfast sandwiches but they were hungry so I didn't snap a pic. One got sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel and the other got it on a hard roll. The space is tiny so best to go early. We left just as the crowds descended. Service was good. We got to chatting with the owner and she said they're closing for the month of July to travel home so keep that in mind.

We stopped in here on our way north. We were pleasantly surprised... you can't always go by the reviews. The neighborhood is a little ruff but well worth the stop. Breakfast is one of those generic meals however when you find a place that uses fresh ingredients and cooks them properly, you have to give them credit. So we just had a few omelets but the veggie omelet was stuffed with fresh veggies, the potatoes are fresh red potatoes (seasoned and browned nicely), and the corned beef hash is fresh and crispy. My one criticism is that typically a hash is potato meat dish, their hash is just corned beef and onion. Other than that, everything was tasty, friendly staff and the prices were fair.... About $33 for two egg white omelets and hash. I'd absolutely recommend stopping for breakfast.

I was looking for a place to take my son to breakfast and found this place on Yelp. Great reviews and not too far from home, perfect! It's a small place with one open room and bar seating. It has a neat industrial modern feel inside. My son and I chose to sit at the bar. We were quickly greeted. We ordered Coffee, hot chocolate, Salt & Pepper Omelet, Blueberry Pancakes & bacon. The servings were very generous and really delicious. What really impressed me about this place was the wait staff. There were 2 servers working a full room, including a large group of 14. They were friendly, efficient, and clearly skilled in what they do. I pretty much loved everything about this for a breakfast place. I'll be back.

We really enjoyed breakfast here. The omelette was very good. Over-easy eggs & bacon were perfect. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. It was a touch slow to place an order but there was only one person taking orders and managing customer payments. Will definitely go back.

You'd be forgiven for walking past without a second look, assuming it's just another mom and pop breakfast and lunch joint. One doing a brisk takeout business for the neighboring businesses and likely not a place you'd try for more upscale fare. You'd be wrong! Beyond the admittedly dated decor and past the countertop service of dinner standards is a kitchen that turns out food that hits well above its weight. With a daily list of specials that would do most $50 a plate restaurants proud expect to have your first impressions blown away. Haddock cooked with a very Mediterranean mix of artichokes, olives, onions, and cherry tomato's in a lemon/butter/ fish stock, Jambalaya done wet in the traditional New Orleans style with house made creol seasoning, a shrimp and veg stir fry with Bok Choy served uniquely with fat fettuccine noodles in the house made broth. All spectacularly good, all incredibly under priced! A word about the wine list: there is none! Far better, it's BYOB with food that justifies pulling your better bottles. Perfect. Don't spread this around, but the daily lunch specials mirror the by reservation only dinner menu...for half the price. In sum, Theater Cafe far exceedes expectations and delivers a remarkable value. You come here for the food, not for the ambiance, perfect service, to be seen by the right people, or God forbid because some snooty food critic deigned to give it 5 stars. It's a place Michelin will never review and we should all be greatful for that.

If you can sit at the bar or in one of the 2 tables by the window, you'll get excellent service. The charcuterie board is great, and the drink selection is also pretty good. However, the last time we came here, it was the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's day. I'm from Boston and Cape Cod and my partner is European; we look like it and we act like it. Upon a brief interaction with the hostess, we both felt spoken down to: "YOU'RE trying to come in on Valentine's day? Without a reservation?" This, coming from someone with a Worcester accent who was dressed like a boy going to church choir. We were shooed away into the dining area: "I guess you could stand over there and look at the menu". It's about 330 in the afternoon- most tables are completely empty. Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.
