I'm with Lila. This place's last owner's really let it slide. Since then, it's been redone completely. The inside itself is more welcoming and they run old movies on sunday mornings. The food is slightly better then average diner grub, with the homefries being spectacular. I am a big fan, and this is my normal sunday go to spot. Sitting at the counter with the paper just feels right.

Baked oatmeal half gone

Amazing food. I recommend the baked oatmeal, and any of their specials. We tried 4 meals at my table and all had amazing flavors. They cook with love and care and it shows.

Cute enough place burger was good potato salad was even better. Home-fries were served burnt and the puddle of grease sitting on my plate was less then appealing. The breakfast burrito was ok... No effort was made to impress here.

Doesn't look like much as you drive up, and the "Live Bait" sign on the store next door isn't much of a draw either, unless of course, you're going fishing afterwords. The interior is small but much more inviting. Only about eight tables and a few seats at the counter. Breakfast here is your standard diner fare with quite a few specials. Our server was friendly but seemed to disappear at times. That's what happens when there's only one waitress and the place is full. The food was good, but not worth me driving out of my way for. I would consider stopping again if i was in the area.

We came here while on vacation 3 years ago and decided to come in again and it was still great service and good food!! For those who have big groups, this might not be the place for you (it's a small place).

I thought it was a solid breakfast run by good folk. I don't know what else you could want, really.

Consistently good for breakfast with a nice, homey atmosphere. Decent portions. Their eggs benedict is very good.

Tower Hill Cafe with solid sandwiches options and drinks…read more On a recent visit, we order a sandwich and quesadilla from the cafe. We also ordered a regilar coffee too. Upon entering, there is a nice display of the menu and close to the cashier is where you can place your order for any and all of lunch items. We did not expect to eat here but because we spent sometime at tower hill and wanted to continue. If the weather is good, the outdoor seating has umbrellas which make it very nice to be outside and eat. Now, this garden cafe is not perfect or the highest of high caliber but it meets the memo and has decent food. Can't wait to come back again on my next visit.

The set up is cafe, pay cashier and get a text when ready. The line was all over the place, not…read morestraight, some people waiting parallel to the food area. When I got the text -went inside at the counter for pick up, the woman was not helpful. ( Rudely told me to find my tray by using my paper receipt. ) The drink bar was disorganized, a long line. The teen-ages in front took the lemonade, stopped and drank half a cup then refilled, their cup right there, thus holding up the long line. There was separate ice but the kids tipped the lemonade so plastic ice holder was slanted inside the holder. I noticed the drip bowl was overflowing and lemonade was spilled all over the counter. I proceeded outside to eat at the tables and chairs, but all 10 tables were full (some with just 2 people and 6 chairs. ) So I crossed to the other side with open 10 tables - two young girls told me to leave. A private party inside had 1/2 hour left. Yet, I noticed that not anyone was outside at all. They said the 10 blue umbrella space was paid for , even if not being used - so leave. The cafe could have used that lovely new blue umbrellas 10 extra outside seating area, (as cafe was extremely busy and weather was splendid. ) I retreated back to the cafe outside area, and stood up to eat. I noticed the concrete was broken, sticks everywhere and the umbrellas on this side were not secured well , thus blowing in the breeze. The nice private other side of the deck remained unoccupied with the extra -10 blue umbrellas at the tables closed off for the rest of the afternoon. Still closed and totally unoccupied even after the time was up. (The private party apparently choice to remain inside. ) Meanwhile, cafe side remained crowded. Food was expensive $16 for a salad. $4.25 for lavender lemonade. Not the Best experience. The view was lovely.

What an iconic place to eat! The corned beef hash breakfast was AMAZING! Everything was cooked…read moreperfectly and had so much flavor. I love the nostalgic, old-school diner feel of Lou Rocs. We've been eating here forever, and there's just something special about walking in and having the staff know you. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. Great food, great people, and that hometown feel you just can't beat.

Small place, doesn't look like a diner from the outside, but once inside the back room, you can see…read morethe tell-tale diner shape. Interesting hot rod decor to distinguish it from the rest. Busy joint, tight seating, and energetic servers who keep attentive. -- Patty Melt: So much to like about this, from the marble rye (though I think pumpernickel) to the full size patty (better than the double smashed you get elsewhere) to the onions to the gooey melted cheese to the extreme juiciness and pleasing flavor. I didn't detect any Russian dressing, but this sandwich wasn't lacking for moistness or flavor oomph. A near-elite rendition and one of the best I've had in a while. Excellent. -- Fries: Included with the patty melt and a plentiful supply. The bad news: they're the dreaded industrial "coated" kind. The good news: they were piping hot and cooked perfectly, crisp outside, fluffy inside. The great news: you can substitute home fries. My server offered a sample of the home fries. -- Home Fries: I found them to be right in my wheelhouse for doneness, crispness, seasoning, onions, and overall texture and flavor. Superb. Between the good looking plates that passed by and my enjoyment of my own food on my first visit, there's sure to be a second. Looking forward to returning with my wife for breakfast and more of those home fries.
