The star of the show is the sandwich selection, all on a choice of focaccia or seeded roll, with many including stracciatella, a thick, white, creamy, Buratta-like cheese. Almost every item in the store-- from meats to cheeses to drinks to candies and snacks-- is imported from Italy and you can taste the difference. This ain't your daddy's Boar's Head. -- Tutto: Tried on focaccia, with Mortadella, Soppressata, Capicola, Prosciutto, Provolone, Stracciatella Cheese, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles, Hot Cherry Peppers, and Garden Greens. Very creamy cheese, almost mayoey in texture. It took some adjustment on my first try, but I got used to it quickly. Strong flavors overall. Very enjoyable. -- Matto: Tried (on two different visits) on a grilled seeded roll, this packed Prosciutto, Soppressata, Sharp Provolone, and Hot Cherry Peppers. Bold flavors from the coldcuts, sharp cheese, and perfectly toasted bread, all in the right proportions to enjoy every flavor and texture. This was spectacular and will be a repeat sandwich for many visits to come. Excellent sandwiches. Nice people. Easy ordering via Toast (they don't have a website). Limited hours-- weekday lunches only-- and hard to spot, but in the same parking lot as the convenience store. I'm not an authority on Italian sandwiches but I've had my fair share from the "name" places in and around Boston, and this unknown gem from the outer suburbs ranks right up there with them. Some may argue they charge Boston prices, but for Boston quality without the Boston hassle, well worth it. Solidly in my lunch rotation.

This hidden gem serves some of the most authentic and delicious Italian sandwiches around…read more The exterior doesn't hint at how clean and inviting the interior is; it's clear the owners really care for their shop and love what they do. The sandwich was fantastic, with the meat freshly sliced as you ordered. If you're nearby, don't miss out on this true hole-in-the-wall spot.

Positively nothing disappoints. Ever. I can make a dozen recommendations but truly no matter what you get it will not let you down or leave you hungry. Gets crazy for lunch and can be wild on the weekend for pizza but it's 10000000% worth the trouble to get here and the wait. Service is wonderful and if you have the time to sit in and have a meal, do try to. It's very small, very casual and feels like having the best lunch you ever had at your aunties house. As mentioned it's rarely quiet in there so take out is best overall. I recommend calling ahead for sliced deli meats or things like that as they really appreciate that. If you ever see the cherry cobbler in the fridge do not skip it - you'll regret that. Here's the inside tip - there is not a better Caesar salad with chicken this side of the Mississippi. Dead serious about that !!! They have my business for life and possibly beyond. I'll be haunting the place for arancini balls as a ghost.

When I finally got with the subs the bread was going stale, there was barely any meats or cheese on it. My wife's ham and cheese was way more cheese than ham - and the pickles she was upcharged for were missing until she found them all piled in one section of the sub. Really no clue this was always a good place, but if I have to go out of the way to get this quality it's not worth it.
