About five minutes later, the chef came over to apologize. After waiting nearly an hour, our food finally arrived. The fries were stale, and the salmon had absolutely no flavor -- I barely touched it. To top it all off, when the bill came, nothing was comped despite the delay and issues with the order. Maybe she is just happy with a lot of first dates where the other person buys and then, like me, doesn't ask again. Personally, I would recommend other venues for a first date. Second, the music playing was barely audible; I would expect to hear really good nostalgic music from the 70s & 80s (you know what would make this place fun??? A JUKEBOX!!!). I ordered the Ground Rounder and was disappointed; I don't like cheese and it came with cheese; I wish the server asked if I wanted cheese; I know, I know, the description on the menu says it comes with cheese; my bad BUT I don't like cheese on my burger. I wish it came on a sesame bun or bulky roll; the pretzel roll just sucks IMHO. Also, please remember the old time Ground Rounder came with Steak Fries back in the day; today, this one comes with grease-sticks -- stubby reconstituted dehydrated potatoes formed to resemble French fries which wick the grease from the Fryolator, UGH! For the burger, I prefer lettuce, tomato and onion over cheese and bacon any day of the week. The service was good, which is the only reason I gave my review 2 stars. Overall, a disappointment, but with some tweaks it might have a chance. As is, it's not going to be around very long. Please please please rectify the suggestions outlined above and I'll reconsider coming back. I'm sorry, but until then I can't recommend to my friends.

They could have rushed us to make room for more patrons on what I'm sure must be a highly sought after night, but we never once felt rushed and they made us feel so special and welcomed! Other patrons, who I suspect were friends of the restaurant, invited us to celebrate and dance with them! We've eaten at The Cellar before and loved it, and tonight just sealed the deal for us.
