Met my friend from CT (I'm from NH) at Peppercorn's since Worcester is halfway between our houses. My daughter had recommended it since she had recently met friends here. Very nice restaurant next to Double Down Brewing Company ( the former site of Wormtown Brewing). Plenty of parking in their private lot. Lots of various types of seating-we chose a high top table in the tavern. Service was excellent-wish I knew the name of the gentlemen who was our server. We both had pints of beer. I had the Captain Crispy,which was just okay.My friend enjoyed the Talia. I was so happy that I picked the Beef Brisket Grilled Cheese sandwich. So very delicious. The food here is so good and the ambience was great! We had a reservation for lunch at 1 and there was plenty of seating. They also have a large parking lot which was a must for me driving from out of town! The calamari was good and I really enjoyed my turkey club sandwich. The bread was delicious! Got house salad, cauliflower crust pizza and lava cake with ice cream delivered through door dash. Woke up at 1 am projectile vomiting, awful. Best guess is food poisoning from contaminated salad. Hope these people are washing their hands. Never again. 1 star cause the ice cream came not melted and my husband enjoyed his pizza. read more

Had an amazing dinner during Worcester Restaurant Week at Peppercorns Grille and Tavern in Worcester! I started with the salad, while my friend ordered the lobster bisque. For mains, I went with the lobster roll, complete with candied bacon, coleslaw, fried pickles, & fries. The chef's hand included a massive piece of swordfish with fingerling potatoes & salad. I used to like it here. I would get the Prosecco seafood dish and some homemade butter with bread and it was great. I have had that probably 8 times total. The last 2 were awful. Frozen separated butter, reused sauces with too much salt, reheated seafood and veggies tossed into the meal that were raw. All this for $30 a plate. Not sure what happened but the quality has collapsed. To be fair my wife's tortellini were fine. Not cost effective but fine. read more

All our meals were exceptional. The service was so good. Waitress was very observant and punctual. She kept the drink refills coming. Excellent service here. All the staff was professional and hospitable. My brisket grill cheese was so delicious. The chopped Italian sub was nice and toasty with loads of flavor. It was stuffed really good. We've been using Peppercorns fairly consistently for the last 15 years to cater our company Christmas parties. We've even reserved their function rooms many times for off-site events. Unfortunately, the quality of our experiences has declined year after year, and this latest incident was the final straw. Our catering order was scheduled for pickup at noon. I arrived between 12:05-12:10 for a 12:30 event, only to be casually informed (at the counter) that one of the pans of food we ordered "wasn't available." No phone call, no warning, no attempt to fix the issue before I arrived. Their solution? A casual "We won't charge you for it" and an offer to substitute something else. That might be acceptable for a walk-in customer-, but not for a pre-ordered catering order during the holidays when timing and reliability matter most. It's clear they no longer value their customers or take their commitments seriously. This experience wasn't just disappointing. It was unprofessional at the very least. If you're considering Peppercorns for catering, I strongly urge you to think twice. Reliability is everything when you're hosting an event, and based on our experience, you may find yourself let down at the worst possible moment. read more

This place is interesting, I came here once as a child and recently returned with my own child. The staff were nice. The atmosphere was similar to an TGI Fridays. We had a reservation for 5pm on a Thursday. There were 5 of us. There was plenty of space so a reservation may not have been necessary. They do have a nice kids menu, they have many options, kids cups, and it's loud enough in there that kids aren't heard so you're not too worried. I got the buffalo chicken tenders to start, and Thai chicken lettuce wraps. They were both good. I then got the chicken parm with angel hair pasta. It was good. We got our child the kids pizza with pepperoni - it was like a large pizza, so I would recommend sharing it. Overall it was good. read more

We had our dad's Mercy meal at Peppercorn's on March 11 at around 12 o'clock. Everything was prepared and ready to go for us. The service was phenomenal. I forget the two ladies names that were our waitresses, but they were just so wonderful and so accommodating we were in a back room which was very nice so the ambience was quiet enough for us to all sit and share stories about my dad. I've been to Peppercorns multiple times now and I really enjoy their food. Notably the squash soup was to die for! It was so flavorful and had a little kick to it. Highly recommend that and also the pistachio haddock... I believe that's what it's called. Also... delicious with so much flavor. On other occasions I tried the chopped Italian sub which was OK. Peppercorns is a restaurant attached to a brewery, very close to Clarke University. We went for very late lunch and sat in the bar area because there was a very large loud party in the dining room. I ordered the chicken, avocado salad and it was very good. My husband ordered one of the specials. It took a while for our food to arrive, and at first my husband's order was entirely wrong. Went to Pepercorns for Mother's Day. The service was great. We didn't have to wait long for our meals. I had the lobster mac n cheese. It was delicious big chunks of lobster in mac n cheese the way mom used to make right down to the bread crumbs on top. Had their cheesecake for dessert which was equally great. They are consistently really good! We have been ordering take out from here at least once a month for a few months now. Their chicken and pasta dishes are always made perfect and their steak tips are perfectly tender and flavorful. My kids love their cheeseburgers and the kids mac n cheese without the breadcrumbs. We have also tried their spicy chicken sandwich which was way better than one you would get at any fast food place! Their desserts are also really good. Their cinnamon ice cream with their chocolate decadence or cheesecake roulade are the perfect ending to any of their meals - and don't skip it or you will regret it! read more

Appetizers we had the Risotto Balls, tasty I would say good just not to the great level. They had a calamari plate served on a bed of pickled jalapeños, black olives and tomatoes, every part of it was excellent! Entree #1 Nashville Chicken Sandwich, very tasty but definitely not "Nashville" style, not heat or dip in hot sauce. Entree #2 Tortellini Matthew, tasted like home made tortellini, excellent sauce and properly cooked chicken Giving a 5 star, really a 4.5 but I don't want to hurt a place when they do it right. A couple of my friends and I will gather at Peppercorn's when we are all in the Woo around lunchtime. I've been coming here off and on for around 10 years. I regret not getting a photo of the corned beef shepherd's pie which was on the menu for St. Patrick's, but it disappeared quickly. The service is good and the booths are spacious. Went to Peppercorns today for lunch, everything was delicious! Had the dumplings and risotto balls for appetizers, everything was delicious. 2 of us got the grilled brisket grilled cheese, heavenly ! So much good food, that I couldn't finish it. Later that night, heated up the grilled cheese but decided I needed a 'crunch' added 'French fried onions' to the Sammie. WOW! Took it over the top! Just attended a small function at Peppercorns. Wow. We had three buffet entrees and the same number of sides. While the potatoes were ok, the chicken fontina, steak tips, and Alfredo were top notch. Cocktail service was attentive and fast with just enough personality. The maitre'd was invisible but he ran a good room. The place is well kept. No off odors or dusty shelves. Nice decor, but not overdone. Will definitely be coming back for a date or family night. read more

Fantastic dinner! We love great finds when we are on a road trip and this one did not disappoint! We started with the beer cheese double dip with pretzels and chips, really good! Hubby had the papardelli bolognese that was great. The garlic bread it came with was just okay. I had the brisket grilled cheese that was phenomenal but it would have been a little better if the brisket was more spread out rather than lumped in the middle. Great American and Italian food as prepared by a team of Brazilian chefs. As such, the coxinha is a must try appetizer; it sells out every day. Service is always good and the beers from Double Down (same building) add the extra local flavor. I recommend the bar area, but the backroom booths are nice as well. read more

This place is always poppin--and for good reason. So far we've only tried takeout but the atmosphere in the restaurant seem chill. We've walked in to order takeout. They offered to bring the food out once it's all set. Thumbs up to great service. Nashville fried chicken was tasty for sure--but was a bit on the sweeter side. I was hoping it was more spicy. Peppercorn's has been our favorite restaurant for over 20 years. Have had family parties here and everything. Excellent service and food. Dinner last night did not disappoint. My husband had the Chef's Special, which was ceab cakes on grilled romaine. My in-laws both had the pistachio crusted haddock and I had the pretzel crusted chicken. Our server was excellent as well. There's only one issue we had. They've always served complimentary bread with olive oil. When the server asked if we wanted bread we said yes. It was the same bread they always served but with garlic butter as well as the oil. We were shocked when we got the bill and they charged us $6 for the bread. The server never mentioned there was a charge. Had we known, we wouldn't not have paid $6 for such a small side of bread that used to be complimentary. read more

And the young waitress said it's my choice to not come back...absolutely not it's what I was dishes with the lack of warmth and enthusiasm.
