Busy joint, tight seating, and energetic servers who keep attentive. -- Patty Melt: So much to like about this, from the marble rye (though I think pumpernickel) to the full size patty (better than the double smashed you get elsewhere) to the onions to the gooey melted cheese to the extreme juiciness and pleasing flavor. I didn't detect any Russian dressing, but this sandwich wasn't lacking for moistness or flavor oomph. A near-elite rendition and one of the best I've had in a while. Excellent. -- Fries: Included with the patty melt and a plentiful supply. The bad news: they're the dreaded industrial "coated" kind. The good news: they were piping hot and cooked perfectly, crisp outside, fluffy inside. The great news: you can substitute home fries. My server offered a sample of the home fries. -- Home Fries: I found them to be right in my wheelhouse for doneness, crispness, seasoning, onions, and overall texture and flavor. Superb. Between the good looking plates that passed by and my enjoyment of my own food on my first visit, there's sure to be a second. We had a wonderful time at Lou Roc's. The place was super busy, but the line moved quickly. One thing we didn't realize that it is a cash only establishment. They have an ATM onsite, but was not working (most likely empty) when we were there. But I just drove down the street to a gas station and grabbed some cash. NBD. The food was super incredibly delicious. My wife had the chicken and waffles and I had corned beef (homemade, not canned) and eggs and toast. All was delicious and huge portions. When we stopped in for brunch a few days ago we could tell this diner has been around for a while, especially because we heard the waitresses greeting customers by name so no wonder why there are so many 'positive' reviews. It might've been a good spot a few decades ago, but it is outdated now. Food is cheap but you get what you pay for. You'd think you can't go wrong with chicken and waffles? Probably one of the best diners I've ever been to. I've had no wait times but I heard it can be busy but trust me worth whatever wait. Their pancakes are HUGE and delicious!! Long time Lou Rocks customer going back over 20 years. Their food is great the reviews speak for this. Unfortunately I believe the owners have gotten a bit greedy with their pricing. my son and I visited a few days ago our order was was pancakes, French toast, hash browns (now a 1.70 up charge over home fries) a coffee and a milk. Our bill was almost $50.00. Another example is a single egg on the menu is $7.00 sure eggs were expensive for a bit but a dozen eggs is back under $2.00 and they have not adjusted prices back own. Go there for the food it's good. But I will seek out other alternatives in the future. Sadly I think this was my last trip to Lou rocks. These kinds of prices frustrate me as a customer and I will go elsewhere. read more

This restaurant is always jammed packed. But their breakfast is great. And they do have parking...but if it's busy, it's still tough to find a spot. They also have outdoor dining now. This diner is definitely worth visiting but I definitely recommend visiting early--or you'll be waiting for awhile. At times you might get lucky and it's fairly quiet but it's often busier than not. As for the food, Lou Roc's does their breakfast right. I've had their omelets in the past and recently had Eggs Benedict. Tons of flavor. This diner is CASH ONLY. Came to this place out of chance at we had an amazing meal and the service was just as amazing! No a fancy dinner but simple sandwiches and chili. The chili is Genuine homemade with the most amazing chips homemade of course. I had the pastrami and cheese sandwich grilled with french fries. The sandwich was made with such love and a perfectly mix of hot, melted cheese, and beautiful pastrami. The bread was dark, pumpernickel and grilled to perfection. The french fries were wonderfully fresh and hot. Just perfect. My wife had a very nice white tuna sandwich on a beautiful roll ... So the service. Felt like you were at home in this place. Almost everyone came over to see if we needed anything to eat, did we like the food, Can I get you a fresh drink? Do you need more napkins etc. etc. just charming and nice people. Talked to us about the local area what was going on even and recommended some other good restaurants. Seriously, one of the most enjoyable meals I've had in a very long time. Some places live up to their hype and Lou Roc's is definitely one of them. If you're craving a warm, feeling traditional breakfast, this place is definitely the spot. I was impressed with the quantity of serving size and the service provided once I was seated. Displays definitely gets super so you definitely want to arrive early especially if coming with a group. I gave a four out of five stars instead of five simply because the weight for a table was a bit on organized. There's no formal whitelist just a line of people waiting out the door, it seemed a bit inefficient. Despite this, however, I was able to get a seat quickly at the bar and had the best breakfast have had since moving to Worcester! Also, just a heads up, this place is cash only.
