When we stopped in for brunch a few days ago we could tell this diner has been around for a while, especially because we heard the waitresses greeting customers by name so no wonder why there are so many 'positive' reviews. It might've been a good spot a few decades ago, but it is outdated now. Food is cheap but you get what you pay for. You'd think you can't go wrong with chicken and waffles? I couldn't even finish, i felt guilty for eating like i was betraying my body. Unappetizing.

For a place with a clear full client list we got seated surprisingly fast. And what an experience! Diners being a special passion of mine it's pretty hard to be truly impressed. The food quality and quantity and the old fashioned diner feel is all there! So many experiences never get written about because they're mundane. Take my effort here as an indication that this is a place worth adding to your travels!

Hash omelette with potatoes and my friend Dana gave me her Italian bread toast

Oh my got there early today with no waiting. I got the homemade hash omelette with breakfast potatoes and pumpernickel toast. I also had a really good iced coffee. So I took a lot home and just finished it for dinner. So darn good. I'll be moving back to Alaska next month so I'll have to go again before then. Best breakfast place I've ever eaten at !!

The staff were very attentive and friendly. Service was fast and food was amazing. Everyone was nice even the customers. It's a typical diner.

    Western omelet

Very happy about the portion!! Great service and bathroom is clean! Love cash only! We will come back again.

Eggs over easy with sausage , wheat toast and home fries.

Great breakfast joint, delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly service. We went on a Tuesday morning, and the place was fairly busy. We got seated right away and the food came out promptly. I had eggs over easy with sausage, wheat toast, and home fries. Everything was perfect. What more can you ask for ?

Eggs Benedict--w/ ham, and tomatoes. English muffin hiding underneath. Delicious.

This restaurant is always jammed packed. But their breakfast is great. And they do have parking...but if it's busy, it's still tough to find a spot. They also have outdoor dining now. This diner is definitely worth visiting but I definitely recommend visiting early--or you'll be waiting for awhile. At times you might get lucky and it's fairly quiet but it's often busier than not. As for the food, Lou Roc's does their breakfast right. I've had their omelets in the past and recently had Eggs Benedict. Tons of flavor. This diner is CASH ONLY. Although they do have an ATM on site. Cheers and enjoy.

Corn beef & cabbage. HUGE !!!!

Love this place! I usually get the specials. Pot Roast, Chop Suey, Turkey Dinner, Fish & Chips. The meals are massive and tasty. Love the clam chowder. It comes in a HUGE bowl. The Home-made hash omelet is wicked good. The ladies that run the place are always super cool. Great fresh food. Even if there is a line, it moves ultra fast.

I had three eggs, thick-cut bacon, wheat toast and an endless cuppa Joe. No negatives whatsoever! The creamer was added for you when you ordered. The cream was stored in a container that appeared to be an original device from the '30s. Worked well enough, so if it ain't broke... you know. I had Italian Breakfast. Three eggs as you like them, toast, hash browns, Italian sausage or a meatball with marinara sauce. I was impressed that I found a bay leaf poking out of the marinara sauce, so I know it was made in-house. I wish there had been a bit more spice, but very good. My wife had an omelette, the Massachusetts Pirate. Very well made with steak, peppers and onions. Also had toast and hash browns. We didn't have them, but the pancakes looked delicious. We saw several prepared while we waited at our counter seats. They're big and quite fluffy. Might have to have those next time. The place was very busy. Service was a bit slow, but gotta expect that for a place like this. Very, very friendly. We expect to go again!

She was very helpful with making decisions on what to have with what. I had the Reuben. A long-time favorite of mine. They make their own rye bread, and it shows. My youngest had the meat-lover's omelette. It was impressive. So much flavor. And it didn't taste too greasy with all the meats. My oldest had a BLT. Lots of counter stools and booths in 1950s pastel yellows and greens. My visit was a patty melt quest. They happily served it during the morning hours. The good: - Proper use of rye bread and onions - Proper buttering and griddling of the bread - Beef pink and juicy - Can substitute tots or hash browns for fries - Good flavors and mostly good textures The not-so-good: - Cheap beef with a clenched feel; a bit rubbery The cooking and overall presentation overcame the weakness of the beef ingredient to yield a tasty and pleasurable finished product. But the beef is noticeable as the weak link. Spicy hash browns were very good. Soft texture with some crispness too, and very enjoyable spiciness that didn't overpower. Decent coffee. Friendly service.
