No frills look to the place, but that is of little importance when the food is this good and inexpensive! The service was excellent. Decent portions of really good breakfast foods. Picked this breakfast spot randomly while passing through. Definitely wasn't a mistake! Walk in and go right to a table. Inside has an old diner style. Everyone in there were friendly older locals. They mentioned how it's the town gossip spot for them. To my surprise, the owner was the only one running the whole place by herself. Cooking, serving, cashiering, and what ever else it took. She was very nice and the food tasted great! The pancakes were fluffy and sweet. The prices are also the lowest you'll ever pay for breakfast. Ordered more than I normally do since it was such a great deal. Would totally come here all the time if I lived in the area! read more

Cheapest restaurant in Worcester? Probably. Great diner food. Saw this place when I was walking around and went back with my daughter. It is a step back in time and clearly has a local following. I told my daughter to skip the grocery store and come here to eat. Service was a bit slow as Jean was working the place herself today, but I would come back. My boyfriend & I were famished after our red eye flight & just wanted a simple breakfast prior to going home. It was not easy finding a place that was open on a Monday at 5:30 AM... We decided to give Jean's Place a try based on the reviews & how close it was to home -- we were NOT disappointed. In fact, we can't believe this is only our first time here. I appreciate the convenience of the small parking on the side. We seated ourselves & looked over the laminated menus that were already at the tables. Jean, we assume is her name, was the only staff but very effective. She was friendly, sweet, & our orders came out fast & fresh! Initially, when I placed my order, I did not want toast. After she brought out our food, she told me that if I changed my mind about the toast, then to just let her know and she can always bring it out to me. :) That was very sweet. This little no frills restaurant had excellent coffee,home fries and the best eggs Benedict I've eaten in a long time. The sauce had an excellent consistency, neither too thick or too thin and pleasingly lemony. The eggs were poached perfectly, the whites fully cooked and the yolk still runny. The ham was a thick slice and delicious. My husband had bacon, home fries, two fried eggs and 2 French toast that was just perfect. The service was quick and friendly. With the tip $20 for two people. We also bought some homemade chocolate chip cookies on the way out. $1 per bag and they were a wonderful snack later on in the day. read more

You just would not expect to find a place like this in the city. It feels like you are walking into a small little family type place in rural New England in the 50s. Instead it is a bit off the beaten track in a large city. It's well worth finding it!! You can't beat the prices and the food is top notch! Two people and less than thirteen dollars. Meh. The food was decent but the service left something to be desired. It took over an hour to be served food. We arrived at 11:20 ordered by 11:30 and were not served food until 12:30. It wasn't a complicated breakfast eggs sausage and toast. It wasn't super packed and most people had their food when we got in so there was no reason for the service to be so slow! The food was fine. Typical diner breakfast. The potato's were mediocre and the French toast was decent. I ordered eggs over easy and one was broken so yoke was all over everything. I would try them again to see if they would be quicker but if this is the standard then it's not worth it. Breakfast is supposed to be quick. The prices were good but I'd rather pay more and not waste so much time. read more

Came in with my boyfriend around 1030 on a Sunday morning, friendly staff, got coffees right away. Took 10 minutes for someone to take our order, but roughly 40 minutes for it to come out. We ended up having to take it to go so we wouldn't be late for an event at noon. Food was mediocre at best, and parts of our order were left out. It appears that there was only one person cooking. There were less than 10 tables in addition to a counter, for breakfast there is no way food should take that long. read more

Wow! This place is a little hole in the wall in Worcester with amazing food! Service was great; food was tasty. I had the stuffed French toast; they were so accommodating and I tried the blueberry/cream cheese and also the strawberry/peanut butter and holy moly...delish! I should also say that it is VERY reasonable priced. Parking is off to the side- convenient...don't have to struggle for parking. This place is one of those restaurants that is easy to pass by and not notice...but it's worth a shot! Also, this place is not aesthetically pleasing but who cares...the food is great! Great prices... It's hard to think that Jean's is 2.00 cheaper than everyone else around... McDonald's is twice if not three times as much. It's wild. Jean will Make you what you want, how you want it. Delicious food!! One time I ordered to go, and it's good and hot... Nice little place. I was getting my car repaired down the road and needed some place to hang out with wifi so I could work. There was only one or two people running the dinner but they did a great job. Nothing fancy, most standard stuff, but it was like home cooking. Coffee was good, not pre ground, and tasted very fresh. The service was great, especially since the staff was so small. I will be going back if I ever need any car repairs. read more
