Three minutes later, the server dropped a plate of pancakes so massive I'm pretty sure they have their own zip code. I didn't know whether to eat them or use them as a weighted blanket for a mid-day nap. ​The Pros: ​The Omelets: They don't just "contain" cheese; they are a structural engineering project involving eggs and dairy. ​The Vibe: It's the kind of classic, no-nonsense spot where you can hear the local gossip three tables over and realize that Worcester is basically a small town with a lot of traffic lights. ​The Service: Fast. I'm convinced the kitchen staff has a psychic link to the toaster. My rye bread was ready before I even finished deciding I wanted it. ​The Cons: ​I had to physically roll myself back to my car. ​If you're on a diet, don't even look at the menu. Just smelling the home fries adds 400 calories to your daily total. ​Verdict: 10/10. It's the perfect place to fuel up before you go deal with the madness of Kelley Square. The service was good. I arrived 10 mins before closing and they still took my order. I got French toast on the side and has Browns. The French toast had a really good vanilla flavor. But the hash browns was supposed to come with onions. It didn't and it was salty. All in all I did like the food. I don't like that they charge extra for maple syrup. 1st time here. It was ok. The sandwich I ordered was pretty pricey for what I got. I asked for my bulkie grilled and it came back like it was steamed. Was falling apart. I ordered hash browns and I got those about 5 minutes after my sandwich was already eaten. I had to remind the waitress that I ordered them. Place is small but nice. Pretty solid breakfast/brunch cafe. We were seated pretty quickly which was nice. Plenty of parking in the lot as well. The waitress had to wait on the entire restaurant and bar which seems intense so I definitely commend her for how quickly she was able to service people. To drink, I ordered the honey green tea. Which I thought would be freshly made/brewed but was just a bottle pure leaf. For my meal, I ordered the turkey BLT with avocado which was realllyyy good! The ingredients all paired so nicely and I loved how the bread was toasted but still soft and savory. The avocado was fresh as well and was the perfect addition to the sandwich. The fries were hot and crispy. I also ordered a Belgian waffle and the works omelette to go for a family member who really enjoyed their meal as well. Pricing was fair as well! I would definitely revisit for brunch. read more

Four of us just had breakfast on Sunday morning service was quick. Food was average. The bill for four meals and four drinks was over $80 and then with the tip it was $100 for breakfast. I'm not blaming these people but that's insane. read more

Been driving past this place for a long time and needed to try it out this AM. What a pleasant surprise. It is small. I don't think it has room for more than about 40. But don't let that deter you. It is classic local diner in appearance. A little beat up but clean. I went in around 10am and was sat immediately. They have mostly tables and counter space for about a dozen. The place was full with only one waitress. But that waitress was on her game. Moving and taking orders, filling and refilling, serving and answering questions. And still super polite. She made sure I didn't see them bottom of my bottomless coffee. She's a gem. Had the Irishman: two eggs, hash, toast, home fries and coffee. The eggs ordered over easy were spot on, set white and runny yolk. The home fries were from little waxy red potatoes. Cooked just right to get rid of the raw potato taste and then finished in the grill to give them a crispy side. Add salt and pepper and they are a simple well done home fry. Toast is toast. The hash was delicious but a little different than what you normally get. This had a chili powder taste that was good. Most folks just brown-up the Mary Kitchen stuff. This was a nice change. Even the guy bussing table was right on top of things and helping get those tables turned around for more guests. Impressive. Price was just shy of $20 before tip. Extremely fair given the service and quality. It's definitely a no-frills place that gives you what you ask for. Highly recommend. read more

A very homey environment that you really want to see in a small cafe. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, she kinda had that vibe of what you'd see in a small cafe waitress on a tv show. The menu had some healthier options which is a plus for them. The food itself was good but not great. Very good home fries though the omelette was just slightly over cooked. Stopped in solo on a weekday morning- remembered "Jan's Kitchen" fondly and thought I'd check out the new place. Very clean and tidy. Not very busy, but a few small tables chatting contentedly. I sat at the counter, and was greeted promptly. I requested coffee, which was fine and hot, and refills were offered several times. Smallish, typical breakfast menu; nothing creative, but I'm really looking for good basic food in this kind of place. I ordered a cheese omelette with spinach and home fries, with wheat toast. Spinach was ample and fresh, mixed with the eggs rather than enclosed as a filling. The cook on duty definitely likes their eggs well-cooked and firm, and the omelette was a bit dry for my taste; not burned, but a pretty solidly cooked slab of eggs. Home fries were ok- a bit under-seasoned. Toast was thin slices of characterless supermarket wheat bread- they might think about sourcing a loaf with a bit of texture or flavor. No jam or jelly was offered. I'll probably try this place again- service was friendly, and I'd like to see them succeed. I'd try the hash or the eggs Benedict. But I'll go elsewhere when I'm craving an omelette. read more

This was a new find for me this morning and was absolutely the best place I have been. It's immaculately clean, the staff is genuinely super friendly and my breakfast was delicious. The eggs and hollandaise were made to perfection and placed atop a thick piece of Canadian bacon and a fluffy english muffin. I highly recommend !!! read more

Walk in door .Waitress asks dining in customer no waitress are you dining out customer simply wanted to order to go food for construction crew but customer is annoyed at playing 20 questions because obviously if he's not dining in he's dining out . It's not like it was busy , three old people drinking coffee . Customer walks our drives to Pickle Barrel diner and they happily and immediately take order 12 guys are happy they got hot food .
