This is my current favorite breakfast place. Service, food and ambiance all above average. Not cheap, but a great treat!

I love, love, love Livia's Dish! It's one of my go-to brunch spots in the area. While it can get a bit noisy inside, the fantastic food more than makes up for it as you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My go-to order is the Western Omelette as a burrito, and I always make sure to ask for the home fries crispy which never disappoint! So we took a chance and picked out Livia's while in town to go to a few rare plant stores. It's a cute simple little place on a corner that was easy to find, and parked in the street. It was cute inside, and busy! We weren't comfortable in the seat we were given (only because of my hearing difficulties) and the waiter was very kind and helped us move spots. We ordered a Mediterranean eggs Benedict, a Livia's French toast and Rob had an egg and English muffin on the side. Let's start with the coffee, because if the coffee isn't good, then usually my expectations are zero from there. Coffee, great! The eggs Benedict was so very good. Honestly, as soon you see a restaurant that can actually poach an egg, you're off to a good start. I'm glad it wasn't drowning in hollandaise also. The homefries tho, those were amazing. Soft, well seasoned... actually everything we ate was well seasoned. Very tasty as is. The Livia's French toast. I'm really not sure how they are making money on this at $14.99. It was three pieces of French toast and it was absolutely covered in fresh, hot blueberries. A ton of them. And chopped walnuts, apparently with some mascarpone too. It was creamy, warm, and the sweetness and tartness of the blueberries was nice, they didn't load sugar into it. Honestly, well done Livia's. The one egg in the side looked to be like 3 eggs. Soooooo I had high hopes for this place because the parking was jammed and there was nothing available- buttttt when I walked in, there was a feee spot at the bar and a few other tables open. Let's start with the decor- the description is eclectic and I'll agree to that. There is no actual "decor" except for a few enlarged photo prints of the area and a few led lights plugged in behind the bar on the shelving unit near the tv. Some random Valentine's Day decorations and a plastic Christmas tree along with a faux greenery wall that says "brunch" round it all out. The first thing I did was use the restroom after my hour drive from RI, and honestly it was yucky. The plug in electric air freshener was brown with burnt scent, it hadn't been changed in months but was still plugged into the wall. The door was filthy with dirt and handprints and there was no TP refills anywhere. A small electric plug in heater was dangerously close to the trash bin. I unplugged the air freshener because it was a total fire hazard. The bar was a cluttered mess with random mail and an old energy drink bottle, the bartender who was busy making drinks and helping each waitress with whatever their question about this or that, seemed overwhelmed- but was nice enough. They make many many different kinds of breakfast cocktails and I think that takes away from the place. Too many different variations of mimosa and my Bloody Mary- the mix was overly salty and the rim fell into the bottom of the glass making the last sip nothing but Tajin and Salt. The plain old fashioned original mimosa was good tho. The food: just not my vibe. The eggs Bennie say that they use homemade panini bread but mine was what looked like a basic hamburger bun. The corned beef was fine, eggs cooked how I like. The hollandaise was chunky and weird and the home fries were just hunks of boiled potatoes with seasoning. I did get a side of a banana pancake and it came out as a regular pancake with a whole banana cut up on top. Do they not know to cook the banana in the pancake? Weird. All in all the staff was nice enough but I probably would never come to this spot again. One and done for me. read more

First time at Livia's Dish, and definitely won't be the last. The food was excellent, and not overly saturated in too much sauce. Our waiter was very kind and checked on us every chance she could, even though the place was fairly busy. The inside layout is also very structured with two tiers and not cramped together. read more

My girlfriend and I only went there one time. (a "one-and-done"!) "so I only have the one visit to talk about, which I have done, numerous times. Whenever their name comes up I tell the same story, as follows... Livia's Dish is the ONLY place that's ever given me a small end slice piece of bread (toast) for breakfast. Basically a half sized slice of bread, along with a full sized slice. Not only that, if the "3 egg omelette" I got was indeed made with 3 eggs, they must have been from a Bantam hen, as it was smaller than most 2 egg omelettes I've had in a hundred other places. It was tasty, but diminutive in size imho. Service was practically non existent. I can't truthfully even call it service. Our order was hastily taken and the food delivered in a reasonable time, considering the place was very busy on a Sunday morning. I think the owner took our order. She showed us our table, and appeared to be running the restaurant. No warm smile or greeting as we were seated in front of the waitress station, which was to my left. Met up here with friends who were driving through to Boston! THE FOOD: -everyone (party of 4) enjoyed what they ordered! -I opted to get my omelette "as a wrap" and omg it was delicious! I CRAVE a good crisped tortilla/wrap and so many places don't do it or don't do it well. Livia's dish delivered! -I didn't like any of the omelet combos on the menu so I picked my own ingredients and it came out just as I ordered! -really great portion sizes too -the breakfast potatoes were a little meh, but overall enjoyed my meal -my friend had an eggs Benedict which looked very good and was filling that she didn't finish it -my other friend got the steak and eggs, which I had contemplated ordering, and I was so jealous I hadn't!! It looked amazing -I would struggle picking what I want to eat next time between how good mine was and how delicious theirs looked! THE DRINKS: -our party split one of the bottles of champagne mimosas -I like that they pop it at the table and pour for you, but the girl who delivered ours filled them nearly to the top, leaving barely any champagne in the bottle between the 4 of us. Most of us wanted to try the different juices with our bubbly, so we had to awkwardly ask our waitress for new glasses to pour out some of our champagne to try with the diff juice flavors -I liked the variety of options for mimosa flavors, juices came in such cute glass jars -their other cocktails looked AMAZING! I wish we had tried some. We were seated near the bar and loved watching all the concoctions headed to their tables THE SERVICE: -our waitress was lovely! Very attentive and helpful THE LOCATION: -might be hard to get a parking spot if you go during peak hours but seems you can park down side streets w no issue -we didn't have time to wait for a patio table or we would have! The outdoor seating looked nice -indoors had lots of seating in different areas. We were seated at the top (walk up a few steps) at a corner table near the bar -it looked like in the back corner there was a cute photo opportunity wall but it was right behind a table so kind of awkward if you wanted a pic...and would be unknown unless you were seated up there or needed to use the restroom. What a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch! I went to breakfast with a friend of mine. When we showed up, the parking lot was full and there was no more street parking. We found another free lot on the same block and parked there. We were worried about how long we would have to wait to be seated... but there was no wait at all! The inside is very intimate and well decorated. There are regular tables, high tops, and bar seating. There were couples and families of a wide age range. Here is the rundown: Food - 5 stars. I got a waffle with strawberries and my friend got stuffed pancakes with cinnamon apples. Both were amazing. All you need to do is browse yelp photos to know the food will be delicious. Drink - 4 stars. My coffee was weak and watery. This was surprising for a breakfast place. There were lots of other drink options with or without alcohol. Atmosphere - 4 stars. The room itself was lovely, but the bathroom was disgusting. I can look past the fact that it needed a renovation, but the overhead light was filled with dead bugs, the sink was dirty, and the floors were nasty. The owners need to bring this space up to par with the rest. Service - 5 stars. The host and the server were friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed this place and I intend to return. read more

Food: Salmon Benedict's was delicious, I had asked for my home fries to be crispy and they were also so good. If you don't like home-friest to be soft, this is the best bet to having something similar to hashbrowns. You get a good amount of home fries as well. Service: Our waiter was effeicent and easy to grab our order, and the host was attentive with letting us know our table was ready. Ambiance: It's pretty busy on weekends for breakfast bc of how popular it is. Unfortunely you can't make reservations, so your best bet is to call ahead of time or arrive in person to put your name/phone number if you want to get a table. Wait time can take between 15-45 min. They also have outdoor seating which is nice on a beautiful day. I recommend coming in as soon as it opens or even between brunch hours 12-2pm if you don't want to wait too long for weekends. My friend and I had an excellent lunch at Livia's Dish. My friend got the fettuccine Alfredo that had a poached egg on it, she said it was the best fettuccine alfredo that she's ever tasted. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken (my go to favorite) and it was also delicious. They do have a private parking lot and we found a parking spot easily. It's a little loud in the restaurant and we were there on a weekday. My only issue is when we asked for separate checks at the end and our server told us we need to ask for that when we ordered as it's computerized and can't be changed once the order is put in. The funny thing is we go out every week and this is the first time it's been an issue. Anyways, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely return! read more

My wife and I ate here on Saturday. We ate outside on the deck. We initially got a table that did not have an umbrella. It proved to be a little too warm for us. All I can say is WOW. I've been dreaming about this breakfast since I got it two days ago. Livias was awesome! I've never had a breakfast wow me away before but this caprese Benedict did just that. My friend got a caprese panini and she loved that as well. The only thing we questioned doing is the "bucket of bubbles" that comes with one bottle of Prosecco and 3 juices. We ordered a mushroom panini (livias panini), and the salmon Benedict... the bread is house made, let me tell you they need to order that out because it was dry and nearly inedible. The salmon was quite fishy and the egg was over cooked. Their hollandaise sauce was not great, it was bland. The panini needed a sauce, partly to help the bread but really to help the sandwich in general because it was quite dry and flavorless. I didn't sit in and eat so I can't really speak to the ambiance; I ordered food to go. When I arrived the food was packaged and ready to go which was great! We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and a side of plain pancakes. Unfortunately, the pancakes weren't good but the sandwiches were. We had a steak and egg and a bacon and eggs with a side of potatoes. The sandwich was big enough to share! This Valentine's Day morning, just had an incredible breakfast at Livia's Dish, A Unique Dining Experience on Main Street (Main/South) in Worcester, just beyond Webster Square. I had the "Not Quite Eggs Benedict," which was Parma ham, perfectly poached eggs, a bagel or English muffin, and Hollandaise sauce. Flawless. Oh, and a bloody Mary with a spicy, salted rim. Was a nice day so there were people enjoying their meal out on the patio. we were seated promptly but there was an overall "rushed" air...not sure if it was new staff or what. we ordered breakfast, waited awhile, was hoping for a coffee refill but that just didn't seem to "occur" to our server, although he did pour another cup for a different table. Our food arrived and the server dropped some of my toast on the floor. No apologies, no 'replacement" toast...just a lone piece of toast sitting on the floor. I know things happen, and perhaps it's not a big deal...and perhaps it was the servers first day and he was overwhelmed ... we finally did get coffee when we "waved" him down halfway through our meal....but my toast lounged butter side down under our table. A little out-of-the way from downtown Worcester but worth the trip. Parking wasn't too bad, they have a small lot but we just parked along the street. Very busy inside but our group was seated right away and started with coffee while looking over the menu. I got the Smoked salmon omelet and it was great with smoked salmon, red onion, tomato, capers, and cream cheese, a combination I like very much on a bagel and it was great as an omelet. We don't get down to Worcester too often but this is a good place if you are in the area. read more

Let me start by saying, read the reviews thoroughly, the place itself is okay & the food is not horrible. Price is acceptable and the food was good but the environment was extremely noisy, tables are too close together, the table I was sitting at was slanted which made me nervous about having the drinks on it. The service was ok, waitress was friendly but seemed distracted. We were not given utensils, we had to ask for them & once our coffee was served we were not given a spoon to stir the cream & sugar with. These seem like basic restaurant needs/starters. The walls were dirty and damaged. There was a lot of flies inside , the food was served a bit cold & condiments like ketchup and syrup were not offered although our meals begged the question. From the outside looking in / seems like a very busy location & popular but its compromising service & quality. I actually drove 35 minutes to visit this restaurant & friends drove an hour. If I were local or in the area perhaps I'd give it another shot but wouldnt go out of my way. Has potential if they up their service! Thank you. read more
