Probably won't be back. The chicken was very good crispy, flavorful, but that's about it. The mac and cheese is absolutely terrible, 1/10 almost inedible. The fries tasted stale to me, my bf liked them but it was a no for me. The slaw was also pretty good, but they put way too much on the sandwhich which left it kind of soggy. The number one reason why I won't be back is due to the fact that they charge .50 for sauce... while i completely understand business need to make money, we ordered $60 worth of food and tipped - they couldn't have spared ONE extra sauce? seriously? To make matters worse - We ordered two tenders on the side - come to find out the ONE sauce that "came with the tenders" was half full LOL. very odd to not give one extra sauce and not worry about the two quarters... such a turn off. service was fine. food is made fresh. lots of places to sit. overall not super impressed. read more

I started in this "hot chicken" craze with Dave's Hot Chicken. Nu Chicken takes this to a new, better level. They have the same really good chicken fingers, pickles and bread. But they also have their Moon Boy Sauce. That's good stuff. It's good on the chicken, true. I've had some leftover and used it on a salad. Delicious! They also have healthier options. I like the slaw. My favorite meal there is the Loaded Fries. Fries with slaw, chicken to your heat level, and Moon Boy Sauce. Try it. Service is always fast. And you can see it being prepared in the back. Very clean. I also like that this place is (somewhat) local. Yes, it's related to the Nashville Hot Chicken franchise. But, it's related to the local Nu Kitchen up the block. read more

1st time stopping in after seeing a you tuber review the place . I was not disappointed at all . 1st there is a small parking lot next door with a dozen spots and Walgreens is across the street. I ordered the Nashville Chicken meal , comes with a good amount of fries and a can of coke $18 . They have 5 different heat levels , I went with the middle one , was not too spicy . Very tame . Comes with coleslaw and pickles on it . Very good , the fries were just ok, there fries. They do a wonderful job packing it to go , in a nice bag, everything comes in a box . And they packed napkins , catchup and a straw without even asking ! Place was nice and clean . No complaints at all. My only suggestion would be to wrap the sandwich like a grommet burger . So it stays together better . I'll definitely be back . Sorry no pictures . read more

Just moved to the area and looking for good restaurants to try. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich meal with comet tail sauce which was not spicy at all and you get two stars for serving us old stale fries very disappointed. I ordered the 1 large tender it was ok too much breading for my taste the moonboy sauce that it came with was yummy and we also try the Mac and Cheese it needed some flavor like a touch more of salt would have been perfect. read more

NU Chicken - Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich not hot at all and 1 Large Tender the sauce was good and Mac & Cheese need some flavor - Burgers Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

I had rated NU Chicken 4 star on my first visit, but after coming back a few times it's a solid 5 for me now. I even attended their grand opening celebration and got a free cap and the strawberry shortcake sundae--it didn't look like much but it was rich, creamy soft serve and super tasty. This visit I went with the one tendie meal, and it was the right portion for me. Their tendies are massive--juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. Two was a little too much for me last time, so one was the perfect portion. Service has been consistently great--friendly and fast every time. NU Chicken has officially earned a spot on my go-to list when I'm craving quality tendies. They also updated their patio area by adding additional seeing and a nice pergola. Cheers. read more

Gave NuChicken a try! Staff - 5/5. super friendly and polite Restaurant - 5/5. well done, they just added outdoor seating. Clean, limited tables. Food - 4/5. Got medium spice and the flavor was overwhelmingly paprika and really spicy. One tender was enough for me. Fries were crispy. I will definitely go back, maybe next time I will try the tenders plain. Keep this cursed location in business! read more

NU Chicken - 1 Tender Meal - Burgers Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

Nu Chicken was ABSOLUTELY a little treat for myself! Their carefully crafted spicy chicken sandwich is one of the better things I've eaten in Worcester so far! If you like a little kick, definitely go for their medium spice option - it packs a good punch without sacrificing flavor! Their loaded fries are to die for and who doesn't love a good shake to top off the meal?? Highly recommend checking them out! read more

I love the concept here and genuinely appreciate a restaurant committed to skipping seed oils. That said I've eaten here at least a dozen times and outside of opening week every single sandwich has arrived soaked in oil. It's a real shame because the flavors underneath are excellent. If they can dial in the frying and stop the chicken and bun from turning into a greasy soggy mess this would easily be my favorite chicken spot in the area. read more

Yo. Honest review. Staff 10/10 super nice even tho i didn't know what i wanted bc i was a newbie Food 9.5/10 chicken was real chicken. Big size and tender. I got the first level spice and was pretty solid! I'm not big on spicy food but it was flavorful and just enough for me to still enjoy the chicken haha. Mac and cheese wayyyyyy better than chick fila and their French fries taste really good bc they cook them in healthy oil idk if my wife said they cook it in beef talon or something like that. The loaded fries are LOADED. Worth the price! Atmosphere 10/10 super chill and just good vibes. Honestly the only reason i don't give the place a 10/10 is bc the soda is healthy soda. (I'm not a big fan) And the cola tasted like apple cinnamon soda idk. My wife liked it but I'm not a big soda person. The lemonade is prreeettttyyy good tho! Def helped me out with the spicy chicken All that said. Dave's chicken and Chick-fil-A who?????? NU Chicken got a new big back customer 33 bucks for 2 meals is a win for that quality food. Pictures may not justify how good it is. But i say definitely give it a shot! read more

Honestly disappointing. I gave 3 stars because the service was good and the food came out quick and steaming hot. I was one of 4 people in there, though. Food is better than Dave's Hot chicken or whatever the place down the street is, not better than chick-fil-a. I got 2 tenders ($10) and a Mac and cheese ($6). I also tried a sample of their frozen custard, but did not end up ordering a sundae because it had the tiniest hint of spoiled taste. Just the tiniest hint, it could've even been just bitterness because it's custard not ice cream, but the taste wasn't it for me. I got a half iced tea half lemonade that must've been at least $4 even though it was a 16 oz cup that they filled 3/4 with ice and it probably had a total of 6oz liquid in it if that. Ok, back to the food. The chicken came out steaming hot and it was moist in the loveliest way. Those were the good things. I ordered zero level spice. The batter was really salty and garlicky and almost all of it fell off the chicken as I cut it. So that was that. The Mac and cheese was sub par. Noodles were over cooked, cheese wasn't fully melted even though it was hot and bread crumbs were just that- bread crumbs- and more salt, no real seasonings. I spent $26 (granted I tipped $5 when I paid at the register) and it just wasn't amazing. Next time I'll probably just go to chick fil a. read more

Ordered a chicken sandwich a side of the cauliflower bites and fries. This was one of the greasiest meals I've ever had. The box was covered in grease. There was so much grease that the fries and the cauliflower bites soaked through their containers into the box with the chicken. The cauliflower had zero flavor, no salt no taste, even after air frying and adding salt, it lacked any flavor. The fries were decent, I heated those up in my air fryer. The spice level was satisfactory for what I wanted. It seems as though they should drain the fat or put paper towels over it before they put it into the containers. This had more grease in the box than any french fry stand at any county fair! Don't run to try this place. I was disappointed. read more

I was initially skeptical, but I've ordered a few times from Nu Chicken now, and it's fantastic--the Nashville chicken sandwich is far superior to Dave's Hot Chicken (in my opinion), the fries are delicious, and the sauces are a highlight of their own (love the Moonboy and the ranch tastes homemade). They don't hold back on the spice if you want it. Custard was pretty good, maybe not the star of the show, but loving everything else I've tried. read more

We ordered tenders, mac&cheese, and a shake. the tenders were burning hot and not terribly appetizing with a few soft pickles on the side. The mac&cheese was also cold and the shake was nowhere to be seen. The service itself wasn't great and felt very laid back. read more
