Hash skillet - A breakfast skillet with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and gravy served in a black cast iron skillet at a restaurant.

Food was excellent, service was fantastic! We were in town for a regatta, we live about a hour away. I tried the hash skillet, with house made Italian bread- it was fantastic. He tried the Italian omelette with red sauce on the side. He loved it. He said it was the best omelette he's had in ages, perfectly done. This is true family run business- dad is on the grill, mom is a waitress along with two sons, grandma is doing the dishes! Our 15 year old provided a better experience than we've had in a while! Refills on coffee, great recommendations and very attentive. We will find our way back here!

Excellent food and friendly staff in a clean, cozy, cafe. Service is sometimes slow, depending on how busy they are. I took some cousins from Texas there today and they loved it.

This restaurant is a fantastic place for breakfast in Worcester. The atmosphere is cozy, with a welcoming waitstaff. It is bright and very clean inside. The booth was quite comfortable. I enjoyed the special of Stuffed French Toast, which was a unique blend of raspberries and blackberries sandwiched between two slices smothered in a cream cheese sauce. Generous dollops of whipped cream were strategically placed throughout. So tasty and a beautiful presentation! My dining companions enjoyed Mediterranean Eggs Benedict and Corned Beef Omelet. They both couldn't say enough about how good the food was. A great start to our day with this breakfast.

This restaurant is so cute inside. The service wasn't the best.... the food though was 10/10! Trying to find parking can be annoying too... but again the food is delicious. One of my favorite breakfast places food wise by far!

Hot chocolate with whipped cream AND marshmallows? What a fun surprise!

Tasty food and good service! Pros: A little bit of a wait, but I view that as a good sign. Cons: There really isn't any space to wait. We were crammed in a small hallway and I felt like I was standing next to people eating Pros: Huge food menu, and the food was delicious! Like, REALLY good. See pics... Cons: Had to wait longer than expected for the food. Good food is worth the wait. Pros: You can see who is cooking your food and the cleanliness of the kitchen when you walk in Cons: The kitchen is right there in front of you when you walk in and it looks like they are already out of storage space. Overall, I think this restaurant is still figuring things out and they are doing a great job with 100% intention of serving great food to the community. Support this small business.

Double bypass ham, egg and cheddar cheese sandwich with home fries.

Came here from recommendation on Reddit and they did not disappoint. Its a family owned restaurant but they are killing it with their food. The restaurant is small and the entryway can get a little congested and awkward, but the seating is spacious and comfortable. We must have come on a day they were short staffed because the wait for our food was a bit long. The chef was in the kitchen doing his best, but you could tell they were slammed. The staff was very kind and gracious about the wait. We got our drinks served pretty fast and our order taken right away. The wait was worth the meal though both in quality and price. I ordered the double bypass sandwich and it just hit the spot. It was so filling and tasty. I don't know if it was the bread, the fluffy egg, the cheese or the thick ham, but together they make one delicious sandwich. The imperial was also just as good. The egg was fluffy and the French toast were warm and soft. No leftovers were brought home. Will definitely be back again to explore the rest of their very extensive menu.

The food is amazing, fresh from scratch cooking at its finest. Definitely a must come back. Was in town for 2 days and had to go back the next day for more delicious food. Service was great as well. Wish them much success! God bless . Kudos to the chef and the staff .

My first time at 185 Bistro since I had visited them at their old location in Leicester. They were very welcoming when we walked in the door, and to me, that means a lot when visiting any establishment. We were seated quickly them seemed to get busy. He had Meatlovers Sandwich on and amazing homemade bulkie. I had an Omlette with homemade toast, and we both loved the perfectly seasoned Homefries! Great family run breakfast and lunch spot.

Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict #1 for the taste and time it took to get it!

Food 4.5 Service 2.0 Ambiance 3.0 The lower rating was purely a matter of super slow service, but it was a holiday weekend and appeared they were short staffed. We felt badly for the hard working staff who were visibly busy doing all the front to back of house tasks. At one point our waitress disappeared and seems to have ducked into the back to help with dish washing. They did have a note on the menu that said everything is made to order fresh which takes time, but we waited a bit over an hour from when we sat down to when we receive our food. That being said, Food was delicious. Omelets were made with fresh ingredients and fruit toppings for French toast were also fresh (strawberries) and not canned or cooked down to a compote. Hash brown potatoes were slightly crispy and on drier side, but some of us like that. The made to order omelets, breakfast quesadilla, French toast, and fried chicken eggs bennie was YUM.

I love this place !! The food is always on point, friendly service when you walk in , the place is beautiful inside and just a great experience !!

Goat cheese omelette with hash brown and rye toast. - A breakfast dish featuring scrambled eggs, toasted dark bread, and diced home fries served on a white square plate.

Yummy! Got seated right away even on a Sunday at prime time for eating brunch. The place is super cute and even has parking behind it. I had the goat cheese omelet with rye toast and hash browns. My boyfriend had the 8 ounce prime rib dry aged with eggs, hash brown patty and rye toast. They were able to deliver on the right meat temperament for him. The prices are very reasonable for what you get for the volume of food. They have an extensive menu. Food all came out piping hot! We were not rushed in any way, which felt so wonderful in this day and age. We will definitely go back and work our way through the menu.

You'd be forgiven for walking past without a second look, assuming it's just another mom and pop breakfast and lunch joint. One doing a brisk takeout business for the neighboring businesses and likely not a place you'd try for more upscale fare. You'd be wrong! Beyond the admittedly dated decor and past the countertop service of dinner standards is a kitchen that turns out food that hits well above its weight. With a daily list of specials that would do most $50 a plate restaurants proud expect to have your first impressions blown away. Haddock cooked with a very Mediterranean mix of artichokes, olives, onions, and cherry tomato's in a lemon/butter/ fish stock, Jambalaya done wet in the traditional New Orleans style with house made creol seasoning, a shrimp and veg stir fry with Bok Choy served uniquely with fat fettuccine noodles in the house made broth. All spectacularly good, all incredibly under priced! A word about the wine list: there is none! Far better, it's BYOB with food that justifies pulling your better bottles. Perfect. Don't spread this around, but the daily lunch specials mirror the by reservation only dinner menu...for half the price. In sum, Theater Cafe far exceedes expectations and delivers a remarkable value. You come here for the food, not for the ambiance, perfect service, to be seen by the right people, or God forbid because some snooty food critic deigned to give it 5 stars. It's a place Michelin will never review and we should all be greatful for that.

They went above and beyond in every way and more than accommodated anything we needed. We had an outpouring of texts the next day from our guests. So many people let us know how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful of a time they had. The space itself truly showed a refined elegance which was the perfect kickoff to our wedding season. If you're thinking about working with BirchTree, Jayne, Caitlin, and the entire staff we're incredibly organized and attentive to detail, helping us set up, pack up, and even ensured all guests had clean tables, fresh drinks, and the bar staff recommended really unique cocktails & mocktails! If you can sit at the bar or in one of the 2 tables by the window, you'll get excellent service. The charcuterie board is great, and the drink selection is also pretty good. However, the last time we came here, it was the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's day. I'm from Boston and Cape Cod and my partner is European; we look like it and we act like it. Upon a brief interaction with the hostess, we both felt spoken down to: "YOU'RE trying to come in on Valentine's day? Without a reservation?" This, coming from someone with a Worcester accent who was dressed like a boy going to church choir. We were shooed away into the dining area: "I guess you could stand over there and look at the menu". It's about 330 in the afternoon- most tables are completely empty. Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.
