i ordered takeout from here based on reviews online, and it's by far one of my top favorite restaurants in massachusetts already. when i came in to pick up, i wished that i had came here to eat. the restaurant is gorgeous on the inside, with a casual atmosphere upstairs, and formal downstairs. Mo, who helped me with pickup, is exceptionally hospitable, friendly and kind. i ordered the mixed grill feast plate with extra chicken, rice, salad, onions + parsley, three pieces of falafel, plus white sauce, garlic sauce, and fresh tzatziki. the meal is so deliciously fragrant, with the rice smelling and tasting so nutty and sweet, and the meats & falafel seasoned and cooked to perfection. all of the seasonings tasted as if there were 500 flavors packed in and balancing each other in harmony. their sauces were all super fresh; a standard serving is enough but i wish i ordered extra just because. you don't actually need any sauces with how flavorful everything is, though. everything is seriously impressive. mixed grill feast plate 10/10 salad 10/10 falafel 10/10 sauces 10/10 i can't describe this meal as anything other than perfect, no exaggeration. i will definitely return, to eat in or for takeout. special thanks to the amazing reviews that convinced me to try sham restaurant, they are accurate and their food really is *that* good. i can't recommend sham restaurant enough! ambiance: 5/5 food: 6/5 drinks: n/a service: 6/5 sham restaurant: 5/5 read more

Went there for Iftar in Ramadan with family. Very low food quality and quantity!! They offered open buffet for $55/ person. You hold your plate and you get 2 small pieces of meat, couple spoons of rice. Even, they served small water bottles and when asked for second one, the guy gave ma a look. I asked if I can order from the men for extra charge, they said No. we Stayed for 13 minutes . The cashier asked me why We're leaving so early , I told him . Didn't bother . Amazing food, 5/5 all around. I got the mixed meat platter and everything was spot on and hit all the right marks. The lamb, chicken, and beef was all amazing. The hummus has a great flavor and works amazingly with the bread and sauces. I recently went there and over all the vibe was modest. We were two adults and one child on a weekend; they charged $55 per adult and $40 for kids plus tax! It's more expensive than Wynn in Boston .... Food was ok. Ridiculous! read more

This restaurant has potential, but service could really be improved. I came here recently with two friends. Two of us ordered the kebab plate, and one of my friends ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich after our waiter advised her to get it instead of the lamb sandwich she originally wanted. Our waiter was Hassan, and he did OK. He was good at offering suggestions, like the shawarma recommendation and the Mint lime drink which was great, but after he brought our food, he barely interacted with us again. I had to flag him down to ask for water, and then an hour later to ask for the check. Most of the time, he was just in the front and the restaurant was pretty empty so it would have been nice if he checked on us a bit more and asked if we needed anything. I would have ordered dessert but due to him not really following up, clearing our table after we had clearly finished eating, and the extended time we spent in the restaurant, I decided not to order anything else. The food, itself, is great. I had the lamb kebab and it was so tender and paired well with the hummus and rice. I also tried kibbeh which my friend ordered and that's like a puff pastry with beef. I would only come back here again if service improved. For a new restaurant, they need to improve in this area. read more

My Taste Buds Went on a Hajj! Look, I'm not going to lie. When my friend suggested "Sham Mediterranean," I thought they were trying to pull a fast one on me. "Sham? Like, fake? Is this going to be falafel-flavored cardboard?" But let me tell you, I've never been happier to be so utterly, deliciously wrong. From the moment I walked in, the aroma hit me like a friendly, spice-laden pillow. My nose immediately started doing a happy dance, and my stomach, which usually just grumbles politely, began doing full-on flamenco. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu, because when you're facing down what could be a culinary revelation, you don't hold back. The hummus was so creamy, so perfect, I almost asked it for its skincare routine. The falafel? Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside - it's what all other falafels aspire to be when they grow up. And don't even get me started on the shawarma. I'm pretty sure I heard angels singing. Or maybe that was just my friend making weird noises because he was also in a food coma. Either way, it was heavenly. By the end of the meal, I was so full I could barely waddle out. I ordered for pickup for the first time from this place and everything went well. I ordered the Lamb Shish Platter. The food is delicious. The ONLY thing I al VERY disappointed about is that the platter comes with some hummus....... But I did not get any pita bread to eat it with!!!! Not even one piece of bread with the platter. As I was driving through the city I happen to notice three men hanging up a sign which initially caught my attention. I saw that it was Middle Eastern food and I knew I had to go for it. What a wonderful idea that was I popped in for kebabs to go. I had the lamb with it generous bit of rice, fresh vegetables, and naan. I gotta tell you if you enjoy Middle Eastern food or you want to give it a shot please do yourself a favor and stop here and really take your time to enjoy the food. Next time I'm going to dine in. The food is very overpriced, I paid 35 dollars for a couple scraps of meat and shit ton of rice. The lamb and chicken were kinda bland but the kafta was very flavorful. When I got home there was a pool of grease at the bottom of the takeout bag. Overall I will not be going here again it was way too overpriced for what I got. read more

I am from the middle east and know authentic middle eastern food and here to say, Sham does not disappoint. We ordered the hummus, grape leaves, kibbeh and chicken kabob. All were delicious and appropriately full of flavor. Our server Hassan was funny and sweet and checked on us often.
