Chicken gyro pita
Roth Y.

The food was great! The chicken gyro was packed with a lot of chicken!! Staff were friendly and helpful. They have a nice indoor and outdoor dining area. One of the best gyros I've had in the Worcester area. The prices are reasonable also. I would highly recommend this place.

Front bar seating overlooking the street. Also small tables and outdoor seating.

Had a great experience at Gyro & Souvlaki! Luckily, this restaurant is open on Mondays when many others are closed. It was clean inside and there was indoor and outdoor seating available. We had a few questions about the menu, and the owner introduced herself and gave samples of the pork and chicken to try. I had never seen fries mixed into a gyro before, but the owner told us this is traditional and encouraged us to try it. The gyro was delicious, the meat was really tender, and the portion was huge. The entire experience was great from start to finish & I will be sure to return.

We stopped in Gyro & Souvlaki recently to have dinner. I had been there once before and loved it and knew my husband would love it too. I got the pork gyro for the second time and my husband decided on the lamb souvlaki plate. I loved my gyro and my husband really enjoyed his lamb souvlaki plate, it came with 2 skewers of lamb, fries, salad and tzatziki sauce. The lamb was delicious, tender and moist. I don't know what spices they use on the fries, but they are so good and I don't generally like fries. We were pretty full by the time we finished so we got dessert to go. They have Baklava and Galaktoboureko (my favorite) and that was delicious too! The woman that owns it is so warm and welcoming and the place is amazingly clean. They only have a few tables (they do lots of to go orders) and they don't have any alcohol. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is amazing. Authentic best gyros around and other items as well. I grew up in Astoria Queens and I can attest these gyros are better than the ones in NYC. Hidden gem in the city

I was in Worcester and read the great reviews on this small Gyro and Souvlaki restaurant Inside had a few tables and counter seating as well a a few outdoor tables with umbrellas. I went inside and ordered a pork gyro, heavy on the Taziki sauce was a .50 charge This place was bright and clean The fixings all look great it was such a beautiful day, I decided to sit outside at one of the outdoor tables A person brought my pork Gyro to my table, nice The pork Gyro looks great, there was some heavy tzatziki sauce (garlicky) at the beginning, however not through the middle to end. There was two small slices of tomato and maybe two pieces of raw onion The pork just didn't taste as good as other gyro's that I crave to go back again Maybe it was me, give them a try ! I just didn't care for the gyro Respectfully

Excellent and fresh food! Gyros were like eating an entire meal wrapped in a fresh pita. Chicken gyro was phenomenal and my husband loved his Deluxe dinner option with pork and lamb souvlaki. Service was excellent as well.

Food was pretty good but nothing to rave about and make me want to come back. Staff was polite. The decor was decent for a small place.

A menu board is posted over the order counter and two soft drink coolers to choose a bottled beverage from are next to the cashier. The menu offers a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups. There are a lot of sauces you can add to your sandwich if the menu doesn't specify what condiments are included. You can also make your sandwich a 'platter' if you want to add fries, onion rings and coleslaw to your sandwich. I ordered the roast beef and asked for horse radish sauce. There was a *lot* of sauce on this sandwich. So much so, that was all I could really taste so I'm not sure if I actually like their roast beef or not. I should have asked if I could get it 'on the side' I suppose. Live and learn. From what I could see under the sauce, the roast beef is cooked very rare. It was difficult to chew through and with all that sauce it made for a very messy meal. We ate in their dining room which is a small, pleasant space with lots of old photos of Worcester. The napkins available at the table are kind of useless. They smear the mess, they don't mop it up. I used a LOT of napkins trying to keep tidy while eating my sandwich. The fries were very good when hot. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. The coleslaw was almost without flavor. Salt and pepper are on the table. You're going to want those. Just watch that salt shaker, it comes out FAST! There is one restroom for all guests at the back, past the kitchen. It's clean and in good working condition.

We made our way here after hearing a lot of chatter online with plenty of people recommending this…read morebakery. I never knew it was here, but my husband had seen it plenty of times but never stopped. We stopped in on an early Sunday afternoon looking to try their grinders (subs, hoagies etc for those not from these parts). I stayed with a traditional Italian and my husband ordered the Bomba panini (it's really not a panini, because it wasn't flat at all, but they told us that when we ordered). They told us we could have a seat in the cafe and they would bring it out to us when our sandwiches were ready. We wondered over to the cafe which is a short walk with shelves of all sorts of imported cooking staples to buy. The cafe has about 10 tables or so and they also have a coffee bar in there where you order coffees and such. They brought our sandwiches out and they were huge. My Italian was delicious and my husband said his Bomba was one of the best sandwiches he ever had (yay! I found another good place!). After we were done (I was stuffed) my husband got a piece of tiramisu and loved it, I also grabbed a bite and I had to agree it was great. We would have grabbed more baked goods to go, but it was extremely hot out and we weren't planning on going home for awhile (next time we'll bring a cooler!). Our 2 grinders, a bottle of water and the tiramisu came to $28. and change. We are definitely adding this to our list of great places to grab a quick bite!!

I loved what I saw from street view already, being someone who loves quaint homeyness over hoity-toity pretentiousness, but upon walking in I almost knew immediately this would be the spot. It's a lovely little bakery, in a very quiet part of Worcester, and I felt invited in by the staff upon entering. Mara knew who we were, sat us down and provided excellent samples on a platter and discussed our favorite colors, ideas, etc. during our consultation. By the time she finished, my fiance looked at me and we exchanged the decision that we were going with On The Rise. Now, it's a way's off before I'll see what our wedding cake turns out to be, but the samples we tried were wonder, the presentation was beautiful, the service was excellent, and I love knowing I'm supporting a truly local staple. Cool higher end culinary items for purchase and some other weird but welcome items like handmade soap! Good community posting board! Chill vibes and surly baristas that make you feel like you're in a bigger city! What I don't love: there are never signs telling what the baked items are, so you literally have to ask one by one at every visit- as does every single person in line. It makes me feel guilty for the people behind me and I often rush before fully exploring my options. This is made worse when I bring my small indecisive child, so I go elsewhere when I have him with me. Also- 90% of the time that I have asked, the attending barista isn't certain what the baked items are and says something like "I think that one is an apricot and cheese danish. Or cheese and some fruit. I'm not positive." At Crust's prices, I'd like to know what I'm buying and I would appreciate time to make a decision. Why won't you tell us what your yummy pastries are?? Lastly- the automatic tipping options are so high (this is coming from someone who never tips below 20%) that it makes me wonder if you're paying your employees appropriately, or expecting tips to make up the difference. If you were to change one thing and one thing only from this feedback, PLEASE consider labeling your baked goods! I truly cannot think of a good reason why not to.
