Highland street location: 1. Tried one of the summer specials "tiramisu latte" with oatmilk and it was delicious and a reasonable price ($7.55). 2. Great gluten-free options. I tried the gluten free chocolate chip cookie and it was a good portion, soft and had lots of chocolate chips, also at a reasonable price ($4.82) 3. Very friendly staff and lots of options for both drinks and food 4. Lots of seating and has a bar to add in any sugar or toppings on your drink. Great place to study or sit on your laptop! 5. Parking was a little tricky as you can only park on one side of the street but didn't take long to get a spot right in front of the cafe!

Another awesome experience at Bean Counter! This place has such an amazing looking pastry case, an entire shelf dedicated to gluten free desserts, and a fun seasonal drink menu! It's clean, cute, and has great customer service.

Stopped by Bean Counter Bakery Cafe the other day for a caffeine fix and got an Iced Matcha Latte, Cheesecake Cup Oreo, and a Croissant. Nothing extraordinary but still good. The matcha was a bit too milky than expected, the cheesecake was delicious and the croissant was alright (wish it was warmed up). My favorite part was the space, the cafe has a decent work-friendly space separate from the main lobby making it perfect to get things. You can be around people but still have some peace of mind.

We love bean counter bakery. The cannoli cookie sandwich is our absolute favorite (two m&m cookies with a cannoli filling in between!). The cream puff is also fantastic. The staff is always friendly and it's a great spot for a quick baked good on the go.

Morning line for Christmas Eve 2024. Moved fairly quickly.

I drove by here so many times and finally was able to drop in. Line moved fairly quickly for a morning rush on Christmas Eve. We dropped in for a quick pickup for cookies for Santa. He'll surely enjoy the cookies tonight. We bought Not Your Grandma's (chocolate chip) and Oatmeal raisin cookies.. Not Your grandmaster's was packed with chocolate with also a hint of salt giving that sweet and savory taste. So tasty. With the holiday rush, the parking was still reasonably pleasant. Happy holidays. Cheers.

Great sweets, very quiet and good to read a book in the corner. Nice enough lady and a clean bathroom. Will come again to taste more sweets

Very tasty desserts, but on the expensive side. I bought two desserts for $10 total and one of them was the white chocolate chip cookie dough bar. This thing was heavy and dense. The cookie dough layer was so good and had a perfect mushy texture. The taste of the white chocolate layer on top did not fit well with the cookie dough. It also came off completely as one piece after I took the first bite, would be better if it was molded into the cookie dough layer itself. Then I got their vegan oatmeal cream pie cookie - it was fantastic! It had a similar feeling to Little Debbie's oatmeal cream pies but obviously less of that fake taste. Very clean inside and chill atmosphere.

    Moldy old fruit

Normally I have a positive experience here but I recently purchased a fruit tart that had mold on it. I came back to get a replacement and the owner immediately asked me if I had left it in my car while scrutinizing my photo and seemed overall upset and did not apologize. All I asked for was a replacement. He even tried to act like it wasn't mold and said it couldn't be. But yes, I left it in my car and even put it under a heat lamp to grow some fuzzy friends for my great fruit tart heist.

It's a little dessert haven. I walked in on a Friday afternoon just after 4PM. The clean white walls and the smell of fresh coffee still lingered. At the entrance and around the corner from the counter, there's a hidden seating area with tables lined up. Behind the glass, they have different croissants, crumbs and cupcakes. I got the cannoli cupcake and a raspberry crumb to go. The server at the register was so helpful and patient as I made my selection. The ingredients in both desserts were fresh, especially the cream on the cupcake and the raspberry in the crumb. They weren't too sweet either! The only downside was that although they were considerably sized, most options were made from plain vanilla and chocolate as the base with the regular dessert toppings so there wasn't much of a difference in the flavor options. Also the cupcake was slightly overpriced at around $6, considering it was more cream than cake. Nonetheless, I'll definitely visit again and hopefully try the award winning coffee!

The vibes are just right for a visit to a local cafe. This is the second location (the more newer one) in Worcester right off of Grove St. Parking is ample. The vibes are pretty nice too, the music is already Christmas themed and there are plenty of counter space if you need space to lay out your notes and laptop and what not. So overall ambience gets a 5/5 The service was great. The barista was lovely enough to offer her recommendations and also explained the flavoring of the drinks. I tried the Friendly Toast the first time, which has cinnamon honey and vanilla. It was a hot drink that felt comforting and toasty to start those cold mornings. Now, the second item on the menu was the oh so crispy croissant and gooey cheese and bacon. this sandwich was the creme del la creme of breakfast sandwiches. Two eggs cooped inside a buttery croissant with slices of bacon which still makes my mouth water. Only complaint would be that there would be more bacon! Bring on the bacon! You can go for to-go or dine in. I was able to get a spot both times a was here so I favor dining in and having the food while everything is hot. Definitely a chill place and knock some things off your checklist while experiencing delicious foods and coffees.

The espresso was strong, bitter (which I like) and gave me the jolt I needed for the day. I tasted my wife's matcha latte and it was good, but nothing spectacular. It had an earthy flavor and mildly sweet. I also bought a bag of coffee beans. I brought the bag back home ground it and made a pot of coffee via a chemex. I wasn't impressed with the coffee at all. It might be because I usually drink coffee that has a lot of character to it. It could be sweet, chocolatey, citrus, etc. This coffee just tasted bland and I am pretty good at differentiating the flavors because I normally drink just black. This cafe is very spacious and would be a great place to work from. I would definitely work here remotely if it was closer to home. The staff seemed nice, but I wouldn't say they were particularly friendly or personable. I'd come back from espresso, but that's it! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Cool higher end culinary items for purchase and some other weird but welcome items like handmade soap! Good community posting board! Chill vibes and surly baristas that make you feel like you're in a bigger city! What I don't love: there are never signs telling what the baked items are, so you literally have to ask one by one at every visit- as does every single person in line. It makes me feel guilty for the people behind me and I often rush before fully exploring my options. This is made worse when I bring my small indecisive child, so I go elsewhere when I have him with me. Also- 90% of the time that I have asked, the attending barista isn't certain what the baked items are and says something like "I think that one is an apricot and cheese danish. Or cheese and some fruit. I'm not positive." At Crust's prices, I'd like to know what I'm buying and I would appreciate time to make a decision. Why won't you tell us what your yummy pastries are?? Lastly- the automatic tipping options are so high (this is coming from someone who never tips below 20%) that it makes me wonder if you're paying your employees appropriately, or expecting tips to make up the difference. If you were to change one thing and one thing only from this feedback, PLEASE consider labeling your baked goods! I truly cannot think of a good reason why not to.
