Finally stopped here. I have been following this place on FB since they opened and were in a different location, but I never stopped in....until today. Really, I've driven past this place a million times, but either they weren't open or it wasn't a convenient time to stop. Today I made a point of going there. This is a small place off the beaten path, but on a well traveled road. You pretty much have to drive past it to get to the local hospital. It's bright and clean inside with easy to read menu boards on the wall and a big glass case full of Cakettes. Cakettes? Little cake/truffle balls that come in different flavors and are decorated with frosting. I picked an iced latte and 2 Cakettes...chocolate raspberry and red velvet. The young lady working behind the counter freshly made my iced latte to my liking. Unfortunately, probably due to covid they still don't have seating inside, but do have some outside tables (it wasn't a pleasant day for sitting outside). I took my treasures to my car to enjoy. My iced latte was delicious and those little Cakettes were the perfect little treat!! My whole order came to $5.58!!! I'm going to make a point of stopping more often to support this little business!! And they also take special orders for holidays, birthdays, baby showers etc!!!
We love this little place, which is definitely off the beaten path. They specialize in Cakettes. What is a Cakette you might ask? According to their website, they are the perfect marriage between a cake and a truffle. "You know the times when you have that urge for a little chocolate, but don't want to overindulge? Or when you are having a few friends over and need to put out a small treat after dinner? How about that special occasion when you need to really impress someone and the grocery store cookies just won't do? Cakettes are the perfect choice!" We agree with these statements, and think their Cakettes are tasty without being heavy, and bordering on a work of art! We keep some of these in the freezer for the occasional sweet snack, and use these for a light after dinner dessert for company. We purchased a 16-box Cakette, which come in a gift worthy box. They also offer boxes of nine and four Cakettes. Check out the pics, and you'll see a cacophony of creative Cakettes!
Omgosh, Cakettes' cake truffles were delicious and adorable! Almost too cute to eat. I got the 16 piece box and every flavor has been incredible. I don't live in the area, but will certainly make the drive back for these tasty cake truffles.
These were so cute! I stopped by in the morning because I was looking for a little treat and let me tell you these were delicious and almost to adorable to eat! Stop by if you're in the neighborhood. The lady working the front desk was so sweet.
Very unique confections. Luscious little treats of moist cake coated in icing. Hand decorated. My favorite was the peanut butter & the red velvet. Cute little cafe with high celing and big windows. Nice specialty coffee menu. There is quaint seating inside as well as al fresco. Packaged beautifully. Perfect for gift giving. Family owned and operated. Immaculate interior. Thoughtful design. Private parking.
Yes! Absolutely yes! I contacted Rachel via email about making a few custom boxes for our elopement. She was amazing to communicate with and made my dreams a reality! The cakettes are delicious and remind me of cake pops. We love them so much! Rachel was super accommodating and let us choose a ton of different flavors. When we went in to pick up our order it was even better looking than I could have imagined! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again when in the area!
They were just ok. Sampled 9 and some of the cakes were very dry. Some also tasted the same. Probably would not try again.
Ordered some Cakettes for a special occasion and they were lovely! Very tasty and beautiful. Everyone thought they were very nice. My husband suggested to me that we order them again for our next occasion too. (Our only complaint is that they are all made with egg and there's an egg allergy in our family, so that person could only look and not eat. But most people won't have this issue.) Customer service was also excellent. Highly recommend!
My wife and I loved the Cakettes so much, we bought them in lieu of a wedding cake. Our guests appreciated it and after two years, people still ask us "where did you order those cake things? They were delicious!" Also--they matched them to our wedding colors and allowed us to mix and match flavors and designs. We go back on special occasions to celebrate things and if we are going to be in the area. They are reasonably priced considering how rich, delicious, and decedent they are. You HAVE to try them. They are so much better than cake pops!!!
Cakettes are really good but personally think they are overpriced. Went with a yummy muffin instead. Lots of yummy coffee flavors. Got a mix of banana and peanut butter in my iced latte.
Made a quick pit stop here in our way to Salem for a wake me up. It's so cute inside. I got a banana latte with an extra shot of espresso, and it was exactly what I needed. It tasted very good. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Service was great and parking was easy. read more
Serendipity smiled upon me! I have somehow managed to only drive by when this little unassuming spot is closed. Alas, a flag waved and an open sign in the window! It was absolutely worth the wait. The proprietor has trademarked the phrase, ' the perfect marriage between a cupcake and a truffle'. Here's the bottom line, they're cake pops without the stick. Having said that, they are delicious little delectable treats in a variety of flavors. I saw some people whining about the price. I felt the $20 for 16 various flavors was extremely reasonable. They pair wonderfully with a cup of coffee after a meal. Just the right size to indulge and feel no remorse lol The owner is super friendly and has a niche in the area unique to her. Highly recommend you stop in and get a variety pack! Outdoor seating available too. Bon appetite! read more

Phenomenal service. Enjoyed chatting while waiting for my latte and beautiful box of cakettes. My brother loved the peaches and cream, I enjoyed the chocolate coconut, and we both agreed that chocolate chip pancake was good. read more
