Booklovers Gourmet has been around for quite awhile now, but they recently moved to a larger location with plenty of parking. There's frequently something going on in Booklovers, author talks, book signing, and demonstrations. They have a large book selection to pick from including local authors and autographed copies of books. There is also a good selection of used and children's books in the back part of the store. I love the selection of gifts also, cards, jewelry, honey. I'm sure you could find something here for lots of people on your list! It's one of the few small book stores still around. They have used and new books and cute knickknacks. I haven't had their coffee yet but everything looked clean and smelled good. read more

I have school-age children and she has a good selection of books. My daughter needed a book for school and of course I didn't know about it until the day before and she actually had it in stock. We have also stopped in for drinks, coffee, and pastries. We were there on their anniversary and they were giving out free cupcakes. I only wish she was open earlier in the morning because I was stopped in at 7 or 8 AM for a coffee or cappuccino. read more

Owners are pleasant and clearly love their business which has been thriving for 25+ years. The coffee and desserts are delicious and the store features things from local vendors including artwork. The books are new and arranged in a easy and fun way with a used section in back. Their cards are unique and fun.. something there for everyone. Took my Dad there recently and he loved it too. This is an adorable little bookstore and gift shop that is a wonderful resource for the local community. The owner supports local artists by hosting shows of their work and serves fresh coffee and small treats. I have walked out happy with my purchases and my coffee every time I've been. So mad at myself for not reviewing sooner! I love this little shop. Great place to browse while sipping chai & nibbling a pastry. I got a great book here that encompassed 2 of Mr Bethany's favorite topics, Red Sox & ghosts. The author was even present to sign! I was looking for a coffee shop where a colleague & I could meet. I chose this place because it looked charmingly eclectic. It's a small space & initially it seemed it could be impossible to have a private conversation. However the friendly patrons pointed out a more private area that was perfect! The proprietor, Debbie, was a gracious hostess. She brought our delicious cups of hot chocolate to us in the homey space where we had our little meeting. Small, hospitable & charming. read more

I've been going to the Booklovers' Gourmet for the past 20 years, ever since they first opened. There's a reason they've been here for this long in a small town where a "coffee place" is typically Dunkin' Donuts. This is some of the best coffee and espresso I've ever had. Ever since moving back to the area, I've been buying my espresso beans from the Booklovers' for my own home machine. It's some of the best, smoothest and balanced espresso I've ever had. Their regular coffee is also great, especially the Deja Brew, my go-to "regular" coffee which makes an excellent cup. It's a real full bodied blend that's nice and strong. Additionally the pastries there are excellent! The atmosphere of the small town book store, the smell of the old paper and coffee, well, there's nothing like it. It's a nice, friendly environment and I really missed the place after being away for ten years. I'm glad to be back. read more

We found this place after a quick search on Yelp and I was really disappointed. Don't get me wrong the place is interesting and we got a book and even a puppet for our daughter but we went to try their coffee. I was very disappointed with the coffee. It was cold although I saw them make and afterwards I realized that it had way too much milk. I am an avid good coffee drinker and I am always looking for hidden gems and this place has terrible coffee. Nice people, interesting book store but BAD coffee. read more

I absolutely adore this shop. With little trinkets to incense, handmade jewelry and art; it is much more than a book store. With a cozy atmosphere and a close knit feeling after speaking to the wonderful shop owner, it's a good refresher from everyday life in this small town. read more

when i lived in webster/dudley, i loved this place. i stopped in while apartment hunting and the owner and her mother talked to me about the area. i kept going back for the chai and the amazing low carb (hello 2004 diet fads) big train drinks. definitely the best thing on main street. read more

This place is a real find ---- an independent bookstore with true personality. It has a lovely cafe. The woman who runs it is very helpful and friendly. The store really supports the Webster community and has hosted lots of artists and authors. I love that.
