    It's everything I never knew I needed!

What?! How have I never been to the store?? This has got to be my new favorite place! It literally has a little bit of everything. From knickknacks and trinkets, to dog biscuits, kids toys, gems, tarot cards, clothing and books... You get the point! This place literally has everything and all with a funky flare! It's everything I never knew I needed, lol. This is going to be in my new place for unique gifts when I'm in the area. The owner was telling me that they get in fresh baked local breads, honeys, fudge, and maple. And I love how many of the items she gets in are locally handmade or baked. Way to support local... And you should too! So come to the Thrifty Gypsy

I've been trying to get there. The hours are 11-4 which makes it very difficult even on weekends.

And the woman who runs the shop, Gina, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful!

I pass by it everyday going through the rotary, but for years could never figure out how to get there. One day, after years on wondering, I asked my wife how to get there, and she told me the entrance is behind that gas station on Pleasant Street. Well today, I did it, I successfully found my way inside In search of sugar free chocolates for my crazed diabetic mother-in-law. It's a decent size shop, with some nice displays, and a variety of different candies, but it seems everyone is there for the chocolates. Service was very nice, and willing to accommodate my special request of a custom sugar free gift set. They took the extra time and effort to decorate the two gift sets I bought in Valentines Day red ribbon. It's strictly candy, and much more of a variety of chocolates than Pete's Sweets down the street. P.S. To the old man(must of been Maureen's father)who was blatantly watching me as soon as I walked in. Chill out dude, I didn't rob them or steal anything, but did give them a $50 sale, and a four star Yelp review. Stopped in a second time and the place was in disarray. The carpet was dirty, and needed to be vacuumed. The chocolate cases were all messed up and low on supply. Maureen wasn't in the greatest mood. My wife was less than impressed with the state of the place, selection, and especially the prices.

They have some very unique items, such as sour lobster shaped gummies. Also, they have the classic truffles and assorted chocolates. I bought gifts and some for myself. Chocolates are fresh and good. I most highly recommend unless you are on a severe diet and have a sweet tooth. In such a case, steer clear! Otherwise stop in fora chat and a treat, while picking up presents for those unlucky enough to not be there.

The selection is AMAZING!! The wide variety of all things delicious are not only sold here but made from scratch in small batches to control the quality and deliciousness of every single morsel of goodness that is packed into everything they create. This family owned and operated Candy store has it all and yes even harder to find items can be found here pretty much year round however they welcome customized orders that have been made to your specific liking!! This place doesn't disappoint and the prices are more than reasonable especially when you take into consideration all of the fine ingredients, time and love that goes into everything they have to offer. It is my absolute favorite candy shop on the entire planet and I highly recommend stopping by or if that's not possible for you than just place an order for delivery!! You definitely won't be sorry that you did!! They'll ship it wherever whenever you want it and the presentation is just as glorious as the treats are!! So whether you're a local or just someone who's passing through Gardner Massachusetts... OMG you've gotta stop by because life is far to short to live it with any regrets!! Yes everything you can buy in the shop is also available for delivery/shopping as well!! No I am not employed by them hahaha just a very satisfied customer for over the last 20+ years is all!! Why would I want a simple Hershey bar when I could have some of their hand dipped chocolates and a pound of their homemade French rolls which I always say is for everyone but I typically keep it all for myself hehehe!!
