One of my favorite places ro ever go. Great to go in tbe winter to get a break from tbe cold and snow and breath in some of thr fresh air. I find myself a lot of times just going here to look and am always really impressed with how they arrange and decorate and then inevitable almost always fall in love with something and have to buy it. My best friend has been in here a lot for plants and I wanted to go too to see the rocks and crystals and we had such a fun day in here Sunday looking for plants and cute rocks for our homes. It's so unique, with something for everyone, and I cannot wait to come back and visit again. I love the layout, and the high windows, which provide a perfect space for all of the plants to thrive! It is such an experience walking through Seed to Stem, at times I thought I was in a jungle, but the floors are carpeted, giving the space a homey feel! Most everything is very pricy. I would not recommend this store for a plant beginner or for someone looking for affordable items, but it does seem like a nice place. I love this place! I look forward to stopping in every time I go out that way to visit family. Lots of heathy plants, though they're actually a bit more expensive than I can find in Boston. They seem to be watered individually rather than by overhead sprinklers as you'll find in many garden centers, so the succulents for example aren't totally drenched. They also have some nice semi-precious stone bracelets and natural skincare products in the back, and every employee I've ever talked to is helpful and knowledgeable. The one negative thing I can say is that I've never seen a pot there that I liked. They're all that sort of muted brown or cream and I prefer brighter colors. But that's a minor complaint compared to everything else they do so well. read more

Plant lovers! It is a must place to check out. I love the decor and space/location. Even if you come out of there with zero items, it is a fun experience. I think the theme is basically anything the Earth can provide and the Earth is bountiful... however you want to interpret it. The prices I found were really expensive. I went to the store to buy some gifts for Christmas. The very first thing that struck me was the astounding array of hunting trophies. Yep. Live people, live plants, dead everything else. My wife, who is always more observant than I am, looked in and turned around at the door before entering. Other than the plants and trinkets, sort of like the ambiance you might expect in a hunting lodge, or the loot from the trophy room of some long dead British lord. Black Bear cub, maybe 7 months old at time of death. Buffalo. Zebra. Deer. Elk. Mountain goat. Very surprising and odd choice of decor for a store named "Seed to Stem" that proports to "celebrate nature". "Seed to Stem" to me implies an awareness of the need to nurture nature and live lightly upon the earth; not a place you would expect to celebrate the very worst of human impulses. I didn't buy anything there, so I'm off the hook morally speaking. If you shop there, be aware that you'll need make your own peace with it. read more

What a magical place. As soon as you enter this wonderful space it's complete bliss. You float through the store and are guided by the whimsical plant life, crystals, and tasteful taxidermy. Truly like nothing you've ever experienced: physically, emotionally and physically! I had to make multiple loops around because so much to see. So much quality and artful placement. Seed to Stem was heaven for me. All of my favorite things in one place. Crystals, candles, books and plants. All sorts of plants you could think of. The space is huge, and there are so many areas that you can spend a lot of time in. They have a huge selection of candles, bath cosmetics, incense, sprays, soaps you name it. They were also locally produced and boutique brands that you don't get in places like Sephora. It was a nice surprise that they carry PF Candles as well since we just started reading the founders' book on home fragrance. The plants were very healthy and they carry everything from air plants, succulents to full sized fig trees. My husband and I spent at least an hour here as we were looking to get stuff for our new place. It's such a delight to know that everything we needed to start "nesting" for the winter was all one one place. read more

I visit a lot of plant stores, and this one is exceptional. They have a really unique mix of plants, pots, jewelry, books, and housewares. Absolutely everything they have is beautiful. The plants are more expensive than you will see at Lowe's or Home Depot, but the variety/quality, and the actual advice you get is very much worth the slightly higher cost. This is my go-to places in Worcester for gifts (for myself and for others), and I am so excited they are expanding. My one (one!) complaint is that sometimes the smell of the candles is overpowering. I am incredible sensitive to scents, and there have been a couple times in the winter when I've only been able to stay for 5 minutes because of a candle-induced headache. I know that I am a very small minority, most people love them, and the candles are a product they want to sell so I deal, but I do wish they weren't always burning. read more

Wow,,, this shop ! Well ,how does someone describe this ?? It's like walking into a botanical museum. So lovingly arranged and the variety was amazing. Succulents I've never seem before ! I'm not a succulent compulsive however I've been to our lovely southern hemisphere and seen first had the grand cactus of the wild West ! Here , the elegant ladies have petite versions , all potted and ready to go home with you. It's almost as if when walking in the door, every plant turns and smiles, your welcome here we love you.. take us home. Even the taxidermy (for me at least and I'm not really a fan of stuffed things) was very interesting and tolerable. It must be the huge amount of fresh oxygen in the place, it's almost intoxicating. I did bring home a new cactus. And it's actually sprouting, which tells me thier plants are really excellent quality. I wish I could go back more, this was a day trip for a concert and I'm unlikely to go out to Worcester for long time. Unless..... ??? Thank you ladies your shop IS amazing. This beautiful space teeming with life and beautifully presented items juxtaposed with needless death. Perhaps it's part of an aesthetic or ethos that I just don't subscribe to. It is their store after all and clearly tons of thought was put into it yet I hope the owners will rethink this. The taxidermy, the plants, the crystals, the gourds ands corals, this place doubles as a nature museum and a shop! Some may find it odd and get weirded out but most will feel a serenity as you walk through and breathe in all that good air. I have been coming to Seed To Stem since they were on Shrewsbury street, maybe for inspiration or just to appreciate the beauty of plants and nature, the same way I'm drawn towards the plant section at a Home Depot or Lowe's. I never really buy anything! But I certainly would recommend their aloe plants over the home stores' because theirs is of high quality and care and you can definitely tell. All of the yes! Every time I walk through those doors I'm instantly calmed and ultimately intrigued. Succulents and air plants and ferns in antique bottles and masterful terrariums. Glimmering geodes and crystals. Flickering candles, swoonable tunes, and even oddly calming taxidermied critters and bones about. This shop is poetry, and I love it. The folks working are fantastic - giving recommendations for paired purchases and having an equal amount of awe in the face of the beauty provided by this earth. There's even an adorable pup, Poe, napping behind the desk from time to time (sadly, not for purchase - whatta cutie!). On my most recent visit I purchased a few gifts for the holidays as well as a few geodes for our recently renovated spa-esue bathroom. Yes - there's a certain amount of sticker shock, paired with a few refund policies....but you're purchasing a piece of this world (natural or handmade), and you won't regret it (or at least if you do....call me....I'll take it off of your hands with pleasure). The store is beautiful but it definitely not there to be a part of the Worcester community. I used to shop shop at this place regularly. I loved the selection of items, their plants, crystals, and I even found the was the store itself was set up so beautiful. Being a lifestyle store, I thought this might be the best place to try to reach out to do a community know your rights presentations after multiple police violations had taken place against Black and Latino residents. I was looking to rent a space while also trying to promote a small business that I loved. I had business cards with me as I am part of a well establish Boston business. I walked into the store and as I was checking out I approached the clerk with the idea. His response was that "those people ( meaning people affected by the issue) didn't shop there" and that "this isn't the right place for that". I asked if there was a manager or someone I could approach with the idea because I really loved the space and people in Worcester have been really reaching out to me to try to get something like that set up and his response was "Im one of the owners. So I know we wouldn't do an event like that." I did not know hot to respond and it took me a couple days to fully digest the conversation that took place and realize the migro aggressions that were taking place in that conversation and in that space. For a lifestyle store, I was really disappointed that their lifestyle doesn't include the values of community, diversity, or inclusion as I experienced in that conversation and in that space. I won't be going back to this store. I hope you all consider also going elsewhere in Worcester too as there are multiple other spaces that have openly and actively given back to the community, opened their spaces for BLACK and latinx people, and this place IS NOT one of them. read more

There are tons of plants in different planters and terrariums. They have a collections of curios as well. There are many crystals, stones, fossils, and skulls. That said, the design of the elements and procured goods feel more like a passion project than a genuine stab at retail furnishings and accoutrement. A Gorey curiosity carnival over a woodsy florist; the most interesting attic of stuff that'll end up in your basement. This shop is warm and welcoming, with bright windows, and lots of wonderful smelling candles. They have books of all varieties; plants, cookbooks, home decor, etc. Each book is more beautiful than the last. There are multitudes of wonderful smelling candles and home sprays, soaps, jewelry, crystals, rocks, the list goes on and on. If you can believe it, I haven't even started on the pants. There are plants coming from everywhere! Big and small, short and tall, long, short and carnivorous, they all exist here. I do think they are slightly pricey but I don't know where else you find this kind of plant variety in the Worcester area. The staff is willing to pot plants (when they aren't busy) and love to tell you how to care for your plants. Holy-amazing-ness!!! I had absolutely zero plans to spend money or go into any shops in my 15 min to kill in Worcester but this place begs to be visited. The displays are drool worthy and beautifully curated. I commend these women for their amazing attention to detail, and knowing what is aesthetically pleasing to their consumer. This place is like dessert for the eyes. The succulents, air plants, glass terrariums, stones, and other lovely treats are a feast for the eyes. I wanted to touch and look at everything- so did my toddler so that was a challenge. I can't wait to go back when I have mommy time to deep dive into all the gorgeous displays!
