This shop is downstairs from Seed to Stem. I don't know for sure but I'm guessing that it's curated by the same team. It has a similar lifestyle vibe. The crocheted shopping carts were really fun. Could this store be any cuter??? Crompton Collective reminds me of the Fixer Upper show. I love coming here even if I'm not looking for anything specific (I somehow always walk out with something). This store just makes me happy. They have everything from antiques to handmade soaps. Everyone who works here is super friendly and knowledgable. The owner of Crompton Collective really knows the market and keeps their customers coming back. My most recent trip here resulted in me walking out with a golf club set with wooden clubs from the 1960's for my dad. I have also purchased handmade soaps (called monkey farts! and no... not real monkey farts!), lip balms, glassware, scrabble letters, baby clothes, and much more. I cannot wait to go back next time I'm in Massachusetts, so I could grab some unique Christmas gifts to bring back to NYC! read more

You HAVE to check this spot out! I've never seen so many beautiful, handcrafted, antique, innovative pieces in one place. They have everything from restored benches to tables, cabinets, dressers, shutters, chairs, decorative items, candles, sprays, fake flowers, etc. not only is everything here so innovative and beautiful and different, but the prices are unbeatable. We stopped in on a Saturday and got a gorgeous white entry bench and a liquor cabinet for $300 total. The people working there were so nice and held the items for us while we looked around. Loading large items into your car there is easy too as they have an area to back a truck into and they are willing to help you load large items in too. We can't wait to go back and see what else they have in a few months. We saw SO many creative beautiful furniture items we were in heaven!! A must see! read more

Half looks a funky boutique and half looks like a cookie cutter cape cod store. It's weird to see both vintage and boho stuff mixed in with new beach house stuff, especially not being a beach town. In the eight years since I wrote my review on Crompton Collective, a lot has changed, including the neighborhood the store resides in. It's a little gentrified alcove of Worcester, having since advanced past a rough, hipster stage into a polished, hip phase that also means that the spirit of what had once been there is now lost. There aren't as many antiques and vintage items here as there once were, and instead there are a lot of newer products and crafts. That could be fine for certain people, but it's a different experience walking through there now. read more

Price ranges also vary to accommodate many budgets. If you love kitschy, chic, shabby fab junque and pieces of history made new again, get thee to the Crompton Collective. Very Cool place. From the look of the building to the actual contents inside, it's all intriguing! I went for the first time a couple months ago then again a few weeks ago. There was a lot of new inventory. There are different sellers which have their own little areas they decorate with a their items. Last time I went I found a mid century two tier table for $25. It's not any type of dusty old antiques store... There are a few sellers that have restored antique furniture - which I'm not really into but it looked nice. We were able to browse around a little before the event, the collective contained anything from antique to modern featured looks. This place is adorable! Looking for gifts? Check. Looking for decor? Check. Looking for bath and skin care products? Check. There's also a lot of vintage items alongside all of these goodies, which are available from a variety of vendors. Everywhere I turned, I found something new to look at that I didn't expect to be there. This is a great place to just look around aimlessly and spend an hour or two. There's tons of restaurants, bars, etc. in the area, so you could make a day of it. The store is located in the basement of the building. Unfortunately I didn't get to the store until about 30 minutes before closing, or I could've spent a lot more time there. I found three things to purchase as gifts and left wishing I had more time to pick out some decor. read more

Baby's first antique shoppe? It saddens me that such a chintzy Christmas Tree Shops knock-off like this is the near high mark of sophistication in my fair city. So rotten with etsy cloned 5-minute DIY crafts and poorly re-painted antique(?) furniture that when an interesting curiosity pops up in your peripherals it's like an oasis in the Sahara and the haze of gimmicky bad taste that surrounds it paints it a mere mirage. Only when an item is closely inspected can you breathe a sigh of relief, that is if it hasn't been stenciled with some mushy Hallmark card quote. There are some exceptions but Crompton's claim of being 'carefully curated' with a 'long waiting list of vendors' gives me little hope that the Crompton Collective will ever be worth a visit unless you like your interior decoration with a bit of yolo-like comedy. read more

I've seen antiques, crafts from locals, vintage clothes, candles, baby stuff... etc. Prices range but just remember you are supporting a small business! Staff are always friendly and helpful. Crompton Collective fulfilled all my vintage-Anthro-antiquing fantasies. Great selection of vintage and handmade goods from a variety of local vendors--this place was a blast to walk through and around every corner was something else I wanted to bring home. The furniture selection in particular was fantastic and I thought the mix of distressed woods, mid-century modern and industrial pieces was impressive. I love the large space and the thoughtful set-up, getting to see lots of different vendors without feeling completely claustrophobic. The centralized payment system (grab what you want and go to one counter to pay) made for quick checkout when you're buying from a bunch of vendors. I have been in retail for 20 years and I have never come across someone so rude and unprofessional in all my years. She needs to realize that customers are her livelihood and without them she has nothing. I guarantee that this business will fail as customers realize how disgusting her attitude is. She should employ herself behind a desk where interaction is minimal. If patronizing Crompton's helps Amy become successful with her awful attitude and disposition, I suggest you all avoid this place at all cost. My husband and I traveled to Worcester from Springfield to find a place that had exactly what Crompton Collective offers. I spent my teenage years in Worcester, and I visit frequently, but I had no idea that Green Street was making such a come back! Both the Crompton Collective and Green Street on a whole was a very welcome, pleasant surprise. Crompton Collective is in the lower floor of an old mill building. The variety and quality of the goods on offer are impeccable, and mostly of the household ilk. Crompton Collective has a series of booths filled with all sorts of charming knick-knacks and vintage finds, and they're not outrageously priced. There's a smaller collection of vintage and unique clothing, shoes, and handbags as well as a few jewelry cases near the cashier. There's a large section for sports memorabilia which I was less interested in, but I'm sure it has an audience. The antiques, handcrafted goods, and generally interesting pieces strewn about make for an interesting walk through what is essentially a higher-end, more desirable flea market. The parking isn't too bad either. There's a lot on the other side of the building, but frankly, from Green St., I'm not too sure how to get there. (We visited Alexis Grace Consignment behind the mill - check that one out too!) We parked on the street, but there was a meter. The good news is that it accepts cards, not just your loose change! A previous reviewer mentioned it's a lot like walking through a real-life Pinterest/Etsy shop, and I couldn't agree more. WELL worth a visit if you're in the area! read more

I've been a loyal customer of Haberdash Vintage for a couple of years, and it's wonderful to see how Amy Chase's one of a kind eye translates into a brick & mortar. Where many antique malls feel junky and dusty, Crompton Collective is well curated, clean, and refreshing. After my first visit, all I can think about are the treasures I left behind...the perfect black leather skirt, 70's butterfly caftan, a Chanel wallet! Of course, I didn't leave empty handed, taking home a vintage carpet bag, secretary blouse, and evening cape. This store is a goldmine, well worth the 45 minute trip from Boston. My friend found a stunning ball gown, for a fraction of what she'd pay in the city. I can't wait to return closer to the holidays for some Christmas shopping. read more

Stopped in while visiting from out of town. We come from the "antique capital" in PA so the store was a little disappointing for us. Still, a decent variety depending on what you are looking for. Very few antiques. Mostly vintage and crafty pieces. Some new handmade items for sale like jewelry, crocheted animals, soaps, etc. A lot of upcycled furniture, not necessarily unique. Like most antique/vintage stores, it's divided up by vendor. As with most multi-vendor places, there's a fairly decent variation in pricing. Overall, however, I felt the majority of items were significantly overpriced. After seeing a couple of items priced about five times higher than what I've seen elsewhere, I just left the entire booth and moved on. It's as if the vendors don't realize how common the item is and how cheap you can get it elsewhere. The antique and vintage market has really fallen out in the past 5-10 years and items aren't worth anywhere close to what they used to be. Mostly because of the pricing, I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes which is very unusual for me in an Antique/vintage store of this size and I left empty-handed. Right from the start you walk into a quality joint. This is one of those small businesses that you know appreciate your business. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a hello. Then it hits you. Visually it is amazing everywhere you look. Every display is well thought out and full of quality items. This place is like a magazine, but in real life. Everything is priced affordably, and not crazy expensive like all those other stuffy antique shops. I found a few gems for my house and went to the counter to pay.
