I saw a beautiful raku(?) vase and figured it would be way out of my price range, but I couldn't resist carefully lifting it to have a look. It was under $50! I seriously was expecting the sticker to say something like $350, it was THAT gorgeous. They always have special pottery pieces here, and they have some fantastic jewelry. All right alongside a plastic sushi that will crawl across the table when you wind it up, tie-dyed infant onesies, and... chocolate-covered sesame seeds? Weird and great mix of stuff, and the people who work there will tell you the story behind each and every thing they have...who made it, where it came from, etc. Seems like they carry lots of things from emerging artists, which is something I love to support. I get how it got its name... it's impossible to leave there not feeling happy!

We were so excited to find a store that was open and had such interesting items for sale. Tons of local art including pottery, paintings, jewelry, children's clothes, toys, art for your garden, etc. They have something for anyone in this store. I ended up finding and purchasing two small bags of seeds, in which a local woman had spent time gardening and developing unique versions of plants and then collected the seeds to sell. What?! So cool! Not only does the store have the most unique and beautiful items, the woman who owns the store could not be more friendly and sweet! If you're in the area, make sure to stop by this shop!

And there's a magickal ingredient, right there. Prices are excellent. It's hard to find high quality goods at any price, let alone a fair one. But wait, there's more! It's not just a soap shop. Body care, art, AND, workshops to reach out and teach out, giving the local community an opportunity to share in the magic of learning how to make awesome cool sparkly soap, lotions, and other things, for themselves, as well as jam sessions, and many other varied interesting and family friendly events. It's a WOC owned small family business (Woman of Colour). And I'll say this: We *all* should strive to support local small businesses which make such a positive difference in our community. This charming little shop can be a vibrant hub, but we have to support it! And we need this sweet store here! So head on out to Nyxie's Whimsies, meet some magic face to face, and buy some really fine soap, body care products, and, well, whimsies, while you're at it.

Even following Yelp's directions, they ultimately lead to you to a parking lot where the building beside it looks abandoned. We almost gave up and as we were walking up the street, the wiggling inflatable man caught my eye, and I realized that's actually the art store. This was a fun store to browse. They have a lot of supplies for all your artistic needs, and at pretty reasonable prices. I was looking for pottery supplies on this visit and found a few. They only carry speedball glaze, not sure why but it would be nice to see them carry brands like Laguna or Amaco. Perhaps they don't have enough people buying glazes to justify supplying a large array? Regardless, I ended up buying one, especially since it was a few dollars cheaper than online. It felt good to support a local art store in this way. They had a great sale going on, especially with regards to paint brushes. I didn't buy any as pottery glaze tends to be harsh on bristles so I always get whatever is cheap but if you're looking for oil, acrylic, watercolor supplies this place would be great for that. The people working here were stellar! Very friendly, and easy to talk to. Would be a regular if I lived here.

I wasn't sure if this would be a store for me. On Mother's Day, I decided to stop in. This store is awesome! So many things for my mom but really so many things for myself. I moved back to Massachusetts two years ago. This house is very different than my house in Oklahoma City. So I keep looking for things to make the house my home. They also charitable. They do round up and pick a charity to give to. So cool! I signed up for emails. I also started following Kate at Coopers on Instagram. She does a barn sale. Where you purchase the item, pay for it and either have it shipped or pick it up. So great for people that can't get to the store. Also, the items are usually a great discount. My first barn sale I bought the cutest sign that I hung on my front door. The prices are a little more than I usually spend. But the items are unique. And if you wait Kate usually has a sale. Coming up on Veteran's Day she is having a store wide sale. One weekend when she was having a sale I bought a cute clock and large mirror with a white border for my kitchen. Recently, I received an email with a 20 percent off coupon. This time I bought my dog a cute canister for his treats. This is definitely a place to stop. Look around there are two floors of items all over the store. Also follow the store on Facebook, twitter and instagram. Then you will know what kind of specials she has going on.
