I told the salesperson I wanted .5 yard of each. She promptly told me it was a 1 yard minimum. I really only needed 1/4 yard but took .5 yard to be safe since I was a long way from home. I told the cutter that I wanted to reevaluate by purchases since I was not going to need a yard of each and downsize what I bought. Another older woman at the counter started calling after me and stating that if I was going to dump the pile somewhere to just leave the bolts at the table. I was surprised at her accusation and stated I was not going to DUMP the fabric but wanted to get out of the way for more customers and would put back what I chose not to take. She again stated that I should not just dump the bolts of unwanted fabric but leave them with her. I again explained that I was just moving to the side to re look at what I had chosen. She again!!! stated about my intention to just dump the unwanted stock. It was at this point that I shoved ALL the bolts back at her and told her I was done with her attitude and their store. I gave no indication whatsoever that I was an irresponsible shopper that would do something like that especially after walking around for over 30 minutes with 6 bolts of fabric in my arms. Do not shop here unless you like to be accused of being an irresponsible shopper.

There sale fabrics, fat quarters, jelly rolls, layers cakes, there is EVERYTHING you'd waNt in a fabric store . MORE CHILDREN PRINTS THAN I've ever seen. Also lots of notions and even some knitting and craft items. These past two Sundays I attended a Tuffet Making class. It was great. Get On their web site and see all the offerings. I will certainly miss the shop and the fabulous staff.

A gentleman walked up to me, im thinking he may be the owner and said "someone is allergic" I informed him that my dog was a hair dog, a hypo allergenic dog. And he said "Im sorry", he kept saying im sorry but someone is allergic. I walked out and on my way out I said "I am never coming back here again" Ive spent 1000's in this store in the past but I will never return. My dog is an emotional therapy dog (which I did not mention because I was so thrown off that I forgot) but what if I was a diabetic and had this dog for my health, or any working dog? Those are usually Shepards and Goldens, they shed they are not hair dogs. I am just so very disappointed in the people in that store.

This store is fairly large and they typically always have a really great selection of items. When we arrived at the store we took a stroll through their seasonal section which had a ton of different clearance items. It was also great to see that they had a lot of fabrics on sale and overall their prices aren't too bad to begin with. The staff members at this store have always been really nice to us and usually either help us find what we are looking for or quickly cut up the fabrics we bring them. Overall, this is a really great Jo-Ann Fabric Store and it will continue to be the store we shop at in the future for fabrics and other do-it-yourself craft items.

The not-so-good experiences usually resulted from a one or two employees that I would deal with and as soon as I dialed in their days off, or just remembering their faces let me work around and all but eliminate the bad experiences. Other than that though, the prices were slightly more expensive than some of the larger, non-chain type material stores. But if your looking for crafts as well as materials under the same roof, this is the place to go.
