My daughter and her mother in law went there and had a similar experience so I feel the need to share the experiences I have had MULTIPLE times. This store is much more focused on its students who attend the classes than your average customer. The general impression is that customers are a nuisance to them. If you ask a question, their answers are abrupt with no follow up. I've asked for assistance with selecting the proper yarn weight and learned to look it up rather than ask. It just isn't a pleasant place to be. If you need yarn, go but if you're traveling don't bother. Order from an online store. It's what I've started to do.

So, I entered quietly as it seemed there were women at a table-turned out to be a class. The woman at the counter asked us to LEAVE!! She looks at me and says, "we open at 12". I said well what time is it? She says just around 11:50 she says. I was floored. If I'm not welcome I am not staying but I'm not sure how anyone can think sending a customer away for entering 10 minutes before opening when people are inside and the door is open is even reasonable. I was looking to buy enough yarn to make 1 dozen matching hat scarf and mitten sets in adult sizes and another dozen in kids sizes. I generally prefer to buy good yarn from local shops.
