I come here about every other week and this place is always so Easy and fast. The staff are very upbeat and friendly and have a sense of urgency and seem to genuinely enjoy working there. ALAN the owner is terrible at customer service and does not deserve your business. He is rude and was unable to provide me with a simple quote with for shipping a chair without asking me for the information over and over and kept changing the quote adding over $150 dollars to a $300 QUOTE because he has no idea what he is doing. The lady who works in the morning is very impolite and unprofessional. She was helping out someone on the counter and I was in a line to drop off a package. She asked, "anyone dropping off?" So myself and one other person said "Yes". And she called me "Wait, don't be impatient", in-front of everyone. Making me a person with no manner all of sudden. If you are busy, then don't ask. Why bother to ask and call customer impatient and treat them like your dog. Then when it was my turn at the counter, I told her "Don't call me impatient" and she kept replied back saying, "NO- you are impatient, you are impatient." In-front of everyone I became impatient / arrogant person. I love all the guys who works here, all the guys are super nice so please don't get me wrong. It is this lady who usually works in the morning really is pathetic. If you have an attitude like this please don't work. I will now go to other UPS. Simple solution. NO STAR. I was charged $2 for an email print out. $2 to print out one page of B/W letter size?? Are you serious? The employees were so rude when I asked about the price of the service. He said I wouldn't have cost any if I had printed out at home. He doesn't get the point! I would have done so if I had a fucking printer at home. (I usually use a library to print something out but it's temporally closed due to the COVID-19 situation.) Who would expect to end up paying $2 for a single B/W print out? And the other day I went to the store to take a picture for a passport. They failed to fit me in the frame and printed it out. I asked to take a photo again because the picture wouldn't be accepted. They charged me again for the second shot even though it was their fault. I claimed but all they did was only making nonsense excuses and defending themselves. They don't have any idea of proper customer service. I won't use this UPS Store ever again. read more

I had the strangest experience at this store. Brought in something I had to return in the box it came. I had researched pricing online, measured and weighed the box. The person working there told me it was going to be $50 more than I anticipated! When I questioned him he told me you have to measure the box from the widest spot and round up. That makes sense, but the box had bowed out some (long and narrow) so this was in no way accurate. He asked more more questions, why was I returning it, etc that were frankly none of his business. Here's my response to the business owner's "explanation": First of all, thank you for taking time to respond to my complaint. It's appreciated. That said, it's woefully unsatisfactory. However, this comes as no surprise having read your other responses to customer complaints stretching back six years to 2012. As usual, you offer no apology (instead choosing to label our experience with the wishy-washy word "unfortunate"), equally blame me for your business failings, and then, worst of all, make excuses for the outrageous behavior of Ms. Nevine Ayad. There's NO excuse for her abusive treatment of my family and the many other customers who've complained about her over the years on YELP (and elsewhere). First, as I mentioned in my initial complaint, I am NOT the one who made the decision to use your store and FedEx as a shipping company. That was the music store's call. Were they wrong to do so? Absolutely. That part of this incident is squarely on them, and they quickly accepted full responsibility. In fact, when I dealt with the owner, he profusely apologized and offered to refund the shipping costs we were charged. He also made it clear that the employee who made the mistake, who was new to the business, would be coached to avoid that mistake in the future. In other words, as a direct contrast to how you've handled this complaint, he dealt with it as a smart, customer-oriented business owner and I was completely satisfied as a result. Second, I completely understand what you're saying about the package and why you could not accept it. That is a reasonable explanation and I get it. But it also serves to make the main point about my complaint: Why didn't Ms. Ayad take the same time and calmness to explain this over the phone to us when we called her to determine what the problem was? Rather than patiently explain the situation, Ms. Ayad chose to immediately scream that we were "crazy" to send a package to your store. Instead of helping us understand what we should do next, she chose instead to be maliciously rude and obnoxious. She had zero motivation to try to explain to us what was going on, because, as she said so herself, "this is not my problem" before hanging up on us. As I mentioned before, we've never encountered such hostile belligerence in a business setting. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you my wife and I found her to be completely unhinged. She also repeatedly lied about the package, both to us and FedEx staff (who were actually trying hard to resolve the situation), making our ability to track down the package difficult and stressful. Because of her repeated lies, and her foolish decision to sign for the package then lie about having it in her possession, there was a period of time when it seemed the package was completely lost. That is on HER. Also, when I asked to speak with her manager, she screamed that she was the owner and that there was no one left to speak with. This was also a lie, as we and your corporate offices now know. Has the thought occurred to you that someone who lies about such routine, basic things might also be lying to you? You might want to mull that over a bit, especially since she's your store manager. Had she simply taken a little time to calmly explain the situation to us, we would have understood and moved on to resolve the situation with FedEx. There is even the distinct possibility we may have opened a mailbox account at your store so that my son could receive future packages, as his apartment building in Pasadena has a chronic problem with packages being stolen. But given her choice straight out of the gates to be loudly rude, that opportunity for you as a business was lost as well. And, needless to say, we will *never* step foot in a UPS Store again, something I'm sure your fellow franchise owners appreciate. The bottom line is that for years you've ignored several customers' specific complaints about the toxic personality and incivility of Ms. Ayad. That is obviously your choice. But you should understand that your decision to stand by her in the face of years-worth of criticism is costing you money. If you disagree with that, just take a look at your current YELP rating compared to other stores in the area. You should also understand that word of mouth is devastating. One compliment goes a long way with a business, but one horrid experience told gets repeated down the line multiple times. Surely this has damaged your reputation and bottom line as well. So, best of luck trying to run a profitable business with a person who's better suited to be stationed at a lonely office cubicle instead of being front in center with paying customers. I'm sure that's going to continue to work out for you just fine. P.S. I see one customer recently wrote that Ms. Ayad was "close" to taking over ownership of the store. If that is true, I give it all of three to six months before it's completely shuttered. She's THAT good. read more

I've gone to this store twice, and had horrible experiences both times... Asked for a receipt after dropping off two packages and got told, "We don't give receipts" by a clerk with attitude. When I asked why every other UPS hands out receipts, someone in the back yelled out, "We're saving paper!" The clerk then proceeded to THROW the receipt at me. This is the WORST UPS store I've ever gone to... It's not often that I hope a business closes, but I hope this franchisee goes out of business. This is the best ups store and not only because its walking distance from my job but also because evetime I visit the employees are super friendly, helpful and fast. Came her today to make a return and Nate was my helper. However amazon changes their returns every time. I usually bring in my item with the code on my phone without a box and they accept it. However this time i was supposed to package my own slip. But i left my wallet and tried to apple pay and it didn't go through. Thanks to Nate I was able to return the item without having to come back on a different day. You rock and thanks so much for being patient and kind. read more

No joke - this store has the best customer service I've ever experienced from any kind of shipping/packing/mailing facility. I've stopped in twice this week alone, and even when they were busy, they were patient, they weren't annoyed, they helped me with everything I needed. The service is INCREDIBLE. In my attempt to NOT appear on the TV show "Hoarders," I cleaned out my closets, found some stuff that might be worth something and put it on eBay. Now comes the hard part: the post office isn't always help you happy to pack your stuff, so I decided to try a more full-service approach. I like that UPS has very reliable tracking and shipping, so took a gamble on this place with only 1 review. Friendly guy helped me make a box to hold golf clubs, found good cushioning materials, and then printed shipping labels with tracking numbers. I get that I have to pay for the boxes as well as pay UPS, but the markup here seemed pretty healthy for the store. I guess if you don't come with your own sealed, taped box, be prepared to pay. I don't utilize this type of service much, but it definitely reminded me of the cell phone kiosks you see at the mall. They have the logo of (company you want to use) , but they are really an independent store offering those same services at a premium. Oh well, I don't do this sort of thing much, so 3-stars it is for professional service. read more

Update: I received a call from Gus at the UPS store this afternoon, asking if I'd resolved my issue with the lost package. He said he'd look more into it and would call me back later this week. He called back 10 minutes later, and the package was still at the store, NOT picked up by any recipient, even though it was accidentally noted as picked up. Once the recipient notifies me that she has the package physically with her, I will update the star rating. RUDE and most likely STEALING packages or GIVING packages to wrong recipients. UPS Store #3268, I have reported you to your corporate office. I sent a package to this store. The recipient never received the box, although the tracking number said it had been delivered successfully. I called the store and the man said that the recipient had picked it up several days earlier- she didn't even go to the store on that day. When I asked another question, the employee cut me off and hung up. I called back and they didn't answer. Having worked in service jobs, I am never rude to service employees, as I know how stressful those jobs are. But having dealt with such low quality service here, I recommend you rent a PO box at the other UPS store down the street. Their reviews are much better. read more

Since I was going South down on Fair Oaks, I had to make an awkward left turn across the double yellow line to get into the parking lot. The store is next to Starbucks and shares the parking lot with Boston Market. Look for these landmarks. Stood in line and sent my package. Oh man this store has a tough rating! Unlike most of the other reviewers, I had a great experience. It's more expensive than USPS -- but you get what you pay for. There was no line, I kind of had a million things (cookies) and the guy helped me pick out boxes and packing material and packed it all up for me. I'm pretty sure my cookies will make the journey to my friends and fam without incident. Super nice/friendly guy. The other people in the store were also being helped quickly and courteously. This store is on the northeast corner of Fair Oaks and California. Granted, it's a busy intersection, but note: parking the in the lot is an absolute bitch during work hours. I parked up the street, along 2 hour street parking and walked down with my two packages I wanted to send out. I needed to print my shipping labels on regular pieces of paper. I have them on email. This store will not print for you! They have printers and copiers, yet when I asked, they said they couldn't do it. They then told me to drive down the street to the UPS Store in South Pasadena in the Vons shopping center. I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. The South Pas location has lots of parking. And they're not assholes either. Don't make my mistake. Just head to the South Pasadena location first. read more

Overall: GREAT. Just stop by and/or use them. The Good: How is this less store rated less than 3 stars!? The staff are genuinely friendly and knowledgable. They provide rates quick and after cross checking, I have had to use FedEx in the past. That being said, I use this store in particular for their notary services, in particular the help of Nevine. She is very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Write/print out your statement, sign, stamp, chop and done. The Bad: Worth noting that the store is not huge, although there has always been more than enough space to get the job done. read more

I don't know what all the hate for this place is about. It is a little small, which may add a bit to the messy look of it but they are doing what they can with the space provided. Anyway I had to go here the other day to get some papers notarized, I called to find out their hours of the notary and to my surprise they were open until 6:30. I went over around noon to get the papers notarized and I was met with a smile by the very pleasant notary at the time, she had lovely handwriting and walked me through the notary process and said that even though I my wife had signed she needed to be there in order to notarized her signature so she added an addendum to my notary and said my wife could come back later and have herself added. Notarization was only $10 which I think is one of the cheaper places I have found. All in all this was a great experience and I will definitely be going back here. read more

First off, Tim was able to cut down our box thus saving us $200 off the shipping cost, which I rolled into an expedited shipping time. He and Ari teamed up to solve my dilemma and get this box shipped. Nevine, who's apparently close to owning this location was also extremely patient and willing to go the extra mile for me. Opened an account here @ October 2017. Convenient location, has a Chase bank and Starbucks next door. I received a delivery of dishes, they were heavy. The employee behind the counter helped me take the items to my car. A couple of days later, I receive more large and heavy items. The young man behind the counter just pointed to the dolly. I loaded the packages on the dolly, rolled the dolly to the car, unloaded the items, and returned the dolly to the UPS store. Well that's customer service for you, there are people who exudes great customer service and some who are just run of the mill. read more

This is a UPS Store with an attitude. In my experience, they do not seem to honor all UPS commitments such as receiving large packages for shipment that you've prepaid for, or hold for pickup, unless you are conducting additional paid business or services with them. read more

Worst UPS I ever been! Chris was nice but the woman that works there (guess her name is Levine) was the rudest person I ever encounter. Seems that she knows a lot when it comes to notary that's why her co- worker asked her and the way she responded as if we're not there. She even told his co worker if we want we can go see a lawyer - very sarcastic the way she said that and again she talks as if we're not there. Bit my lips, not worth my time to argue with her. Oh I have so many regrets with this store. First, I should clearly have checked here first, as they are the lowest rated UPS store in existence. Second, I should have caught the general vibe of rudeness from the owner Gus and his lackey Nevine towards all the other customers. Nonetheless, I shipped my package and was sold "insurance" for the value of $4000 of the contents, and wound up paying significantly more than UPS had originally quoted me. Then the package was damaged--crushed in shipment. Despite being in original factory packaging for shipment, despite being surrounded in foam rubber and double-walled stiff cardboard, despite being a sturdy, metal piece of equipment, UPS managed to crush it. Now the store tells me I didn't buy insurance, only declared a value and there is no insurance on the package. Then I can't dispute the ordeal with UPS because I'm not the shipper (the UPS Store is). The store is wholly independent from UPS and UPS will only deal with the store. Meanwhile Gus and friends have no desire or incentive to be helpful because it's not their money. In short, the service is terrible, the people are dishonest about what you're buying and will completely dodge any and all responsibility when something goes wrong. At that point you, the customer, will have no recourse with them or UPS. Stay away, don't ship ANYTHING of value here, and I strongly suggest lodging a formal complaint with UPS Store Headquarters at (858) 455 8800. read more
