After shipping for over 20 years through the USPS, this is the store I chose to go to for packages, postage and all other services that the Post Office offers. The lines are usually pretty short, except for certain times of the year, the service is exceptional and the staff keep the store clean, decorated, and professional. Feels like a cut above all the other locations and I especially enjoy the decorations that they put up during certain holidays throughout the year. If you visit now, you'll see St. Patricks day decorations. I know, I know, who decorates for St. Patricks day??? It's silly and probably unnecessary, but it brightens up my day just a little bit and more importantly, it shows that they care. I've made hundreds of trips to this location and not once, did I have a bad experience. Junior and Jack really make an effort to try and keep the lines moving quickly, and they're very helpful in answering any questions you may have. I sometimes marvel at the patience that Junior has when handling difficult customers with non-sensical questions, while I stand there visibly shaking my head. It's worth mentioning that I've noticed that the staff here will sometimes work through their lunch hours without breaks, especially during the busy season, I sincerely hope that management takes note and provides the staff with enough assistance that they do not need to do so. It's sometimes disheartening to see that despite the long hours and great service, they'd be forced to skip lunches or breaks. I was hesitant in writing this review, thinking, "great, now the lines are going to be longer" but considering the many trips i've made to this location and the great service i've received from them, it seemed only right to give them the praise they deserve. Why can't they open on time? This is my 4th time coming here at 9:00am and no single employees to be found. This is unacceptable that the employees cannot show up on time to open doors at 9am. Junior is the main reason this store functions. I come here a lot for shipping and every day when Junior isn't there it's pure chaos, but when my man is running shop everything is smooth and ready to go. Amazing service. Somehow, in the stress of handling recovery from the fires, I lost an important check in the post office. I thought I had put it in an envelope and mailed it, and apparently I did not. A postal worker went out of his way and came to my home with the lost item as he found it in the lobby. i live in altadena and our post office burned down. this post office is the closest one to me and have been using it for months. recently i brought a bag full of packages in, maybe 12 or 13, all small (mostly 6x6x4, the largest was 8x8x8) and started to load them into the package window. the employee came over and told me they can't accept "business packages" and that i had to take them back. i explained that i wasn't a business and he said it didn't matter, they can only take a maximum of 3 packages. ??? and that i had to go to the main pasadena post office (which is an additional 25 minute round trip for me on top of the 20 minute round trip it is to this post office). when i tried to explain that it really wasn't that much size-wise, he said it didn't matter and said it's a small post office and they didn't have space for them. absolutely absurd. i could hold all of them in my hands. just felt completely rude, egregiously stupid, lazy, and yet another contribution to the bad energy fallen on this area. read more

Please avoid this place. The google page says that they are working until 6, so I went at 5:15 there to mail out something. Literally their worker was ignoring me about 5 minutes, then came closer and start yelling at me! Please review your cameras. It's abuse. And after yelling at me he says that's I'm crazy when I said that's I'm going to post the review. No, man, I'm not crazy, but you are and not only crazy but also unprofessional, disrespectful and emotionally unstable. read more

I have to agree with a previous reviewer. I had the most unpleasant service from Junior at this post office. He was rude, accused me of using a priority shipping label when I used my own hand written label and though he finally took my package, I'm pretty darn sure it's not going to make it to its destination thanks to him. He also didn't give me a receipt. He was also quite rude to the man in front of me regarding his package. Junior needs to be removed from the front because he is unable to provide courteous customer service. read more

Poor customer service!!! A Hispanic employee named Junior made me come on here to write a review on this particular postal office. I was returning a pice of clothes and wasn't aware you had to buy a shipping envelope when he told me I had to purchase one I was a little hesitant but still went ahead and got one. When I sealed it he then goes on to tell me where is the shipping label, mind you I have no knowledge on doing this. He then tells me " I don't like your attitude" and I looked at his name tag and he still told me "yes my name is junior! So you can go ahead and file a complaint" and you best believe I did. Junior if your reading this I took your word for it! ;) this employee even walked away from and said I can't deal with your ugly attitude. My wife and I went to ship a package internationally and Junior was very helpful. He helped us pick the right box and went out of his way to make sure we got it right. I love that this post office opened so I don't have to go very far. It's clean and has a little bit of parking out front. I don't get why there's bullet proof windows, feels impersonal and like it's dangerous there. I needed help understanding where the return sticker goes on a box with my shipping information already on it, but the gentleman there didn't know and didn't speak clear English either. He got frustrated and told me to "put the box in there" pointing at a cubby with a door. Ok I just stuck the return sticker thing on it and placed it inside, what could go wrong? read more

Unbelievably rude and unhelpful woman working at the counter. Would not give me two seconds to write a return address on the box.

I dropped a 2 day priority mail package off at this office on 12/21 and personally handed it to a clerk. While I was in line a customer was complaining about multiple packages that were never scanned or delivered. I should have left at that point. My package was never scanned and as of January 4th has not made it to its destination and does not show that it was scanned at all. Ive made several attempts to call the office but nobody ever answers the phone. I have since mailed several packages the same way with success but at another office. read more

THE ONLY LADY IS TOO SLOW We all have seen her, we all have waited. The elderly lady with grayed out hair who is always working there is by far the SLOWEST worker I have ever seen. Its unacceptable; i was there yesterday and spent 60+ minutes in a line of 10 people because she literally spent 20 minutes on ONE PERSON. People left out of frustration. What's funny is that once she tends you she puts on the most superficial "nice lady" act that you almost feel guilty for being impatient. FIRE HER! Literally anyone would be faster than this passive aggressive "worker." On top of that, the other worker took a break 30 minutes before closing, amid the numerous people who were patiently waiting. I have always loved my USPS workers. But after I moved and didn't receive my mail after forwarding I went to the post office to inquire. Wow - I was absolutely stunned at the rudeness of the older blonde woman working there. She was literally kind to everyone while I was in there except me. She was trying to argue semantics when I said I accidentally said I received confirmation of change of address the same day I submitted the request. At least pretend to want to help me. I think it was because I was young and in workout clothes. So unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. Go somewhere else if you can. read more
