I come here often to drop off packages because I sell some of my clothes online from time to time. Yes, this post office I quite small but they make it up with the staff. They're so nice and very helpful and I love that they don't come off as snobby at all. I love coming here because of them! Keep up the good work! This is literally my fave post office. It's small so it gets the jobs I usually need done (care packages to friends and returns)- they have a small amount of priority boxes and mailer envelopes and the employees are always kind and friendly. There are many US Post Office locations throughout Pasadena -- my advice is to avoid this one. I live in the neighborhood and while this location is convenient, the customer service is appalling. There is a black lady with glasses who has been at this location for years taking out her misery on the customers. Like others have written in their reviews, she has a particularly nasty attitude and a real problem with anyone who request a receipt. I brought a package here for shipping that was labeled fragile and even told her as I carefully place it on the counter that it contained glass -- she then proceeded to violently grab the box and flip it unnecessarily on it's side. I'm wondering why such a consistently malicious person is interfacing with customers or is employed at all. read more

There is a crabby old woman here named Betty who was so unbelievably hostile to every single person in line. I've never even thought to review a government facility but I am going to to everything in my limited power to report this woman's horrific attitude everywhere I can. She was scolding people in line for letting someone up front to ask a question about stamps??? And cutting someone off because they tried to ask her a question and ' THEY RUSHED her' coming back from her break?? Why are you up front then babe?? Very convenient location and usually in and out fast, but there is one woman who is particularly nasty and seems to really have a problem with customers who want receipts. She had attitude towards the man in front of me who wanted a printed and email receipt, and me, who had a drop off and opted to wait in line so I could get a receipt. She also was nasty to me for having to manually type the tracking number since the barcode wasn't scanning, saying it was my fault that I taped over it. I've dropped off various packages with the entire label securely taped on and I've never been reprimanded for doing so before. All of the men that have helped me here have been nice but thanks to this experience I will no longer be going here. read more

This post office is located off California across the street from Huntington Memorial Medical Center inside the strip mall. I come here once a month to mail a certified letter for work. It's a really small post office with two available clerks to help expedite your letters/packages. They are always so friendly and helpful. Just like other post offices, they have some P.O. Boxes along the corridor and a convenient drop box to drop and go. In addition they have a limited selection of gift cards and greeting cards just in case you may have forgotten to send a family member a gift for the holidays. Parking is easy as this strip mall is a little larger than others so just pull up and head in. The only bummer is that it can get a little crowded during the holidays as it is a really small place and the line can get long. But I will be back to make sure that my snail mail is sent! read more

I've visited this PO about 4 or 5 times. Usually there is a long line so I don't wait. I think that is normal for the USPS, though. The other day I went in to ships a couple of time sensitive packages. There was no line. Wow! It didn't matter. My packages weren't good enough to be shipped out by this prima dona. The old lady at the counter told me the writing wasn't large enough, or in the right place on my box or my tube. After I fulfilled her request, to my discomfort and inconvenience, she told me they were not in the right places, still. Now everything has to be on the same surface (to and from). I told her I have sent and received letters with the return address on the back of an envelope. She got sarcastic and said, "well I guess you know better than the person who works here!" There was a guy working next to her, playing with a box the whole time. He could have chimed in, or helped out at any moment, but he didn't. It was clear after 10 or 15 minutes of trying to make this lady happy that my package was not safe with her. Maybe she did not like my hair, or had a crappy day working retail. Either way, I won't be back. This place is a joke, not a federal office. I was running out of room and patience at this point. I also had someone in the car waiting for me. This had gone on way to long, so I left. My business went to UPS, only one block away. They are very customer friendly at UPS. They appreciate business. They are also good communicators, who can tell you what they need all at once, in full sentences. read more

Went in there to drop off a package and asked the counter lady to scan the Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice so that my package is verified and the count matches. All she had to do was scan the thing and she ends up giving me a nasty attitude saying she wasn't going to scan the barcode on the notice. The scan notice clearly states "USPS Employee: Please scan upon pickup or receipt of mail. Leave form with customer or in customer's mail receptacle." If the form isn't scanned, then I end up taking all risks (not you clerk lady) by not having my scanned form in the event my package gets lost (which is not unlikely). After a few exchanges and me asking why she wasn't following the USPS protocol listed on the form, she comes back at me saying "I know what I'm doing, I've been doing this for years." Clearly you've been doing it wrong for years. It was apparent that the low quality of customer service and low engagement in her job reflected in my experience with this person. Even though your life is clearly miserable, there's no need to extend that negative attitude to other people. Just close this location already. Plenty of others nearby as an alternative. read more

I was running errands yesterday and was also craving a margarita from Mijares around the corner, so I had the Uber drop me off here. I needed to drop a flat rate envelope that had an Express overnight label. I walked in, the young ladies at the front were nice and helpful. They scanned my envelope and gave me a receipt and that was that. I read some of the reviews of that particular woman that had a lousy disposition and was bracing for it, but it was the opposite. I went to the Lincoln Ave Pasadena Post office last week and only one clerk was properly wearing a mask. One clerk had the mask under his nose and another didn't wear one at all. As an immune compromised person that cannot respond properly to the vaccine, I found this behavior extremely upsetting. I noticed that another disabled client turned around and left. Why is this so difficult ? How hard is it to wear a mask when you sit behind a desk in an air conditioned environment without labor intensive work and you work face to face with the public? read more

Man, people always talk about how rude people in post offices are but there's something about experiencing it first hand! I went in for a simple package delivery and I asked for some tape which the lady refused to give me saying it's "not allowed" how is tape for MY PACKAGE something she can allow or refuse? The best part, she made me buy 5.00 tape to seal it! I always felt bad that Internet and electronic everything is reducing the amount of jobs for postal service people, but you know.... Well I guess I will be the first to write a review for this location :) I only come to this post office because it is convenient and parking is easy.. located right across the huntington hospital and in the same plaza as vons. If you are considering coming here, note that this is a super small place though.. yes there are 2 counters but that doesn;t mean there will be 2 people working at the same time. Usually it is, but a lot of times one of the ladies will be taking a lunch break, or she will be packing up parcels, helping out in the back room... so patience is the key here. Well that kind of applies to all post offices, isn't it? If you prefer a larger post office, there's one on Colorado across from Paseo. But also be prepared to look and pay for parking there :) read more

This small post office is hit or miss. After multiple terrible interactions with the lady who works here, I had to post a review since she apparently thinks that she can treat everyone like garbage and still keep her job. (And sadly that's probably true). The lady here was disrespectful, belittled me for asking legitimate questions about postage and address changes and on top of that, in an earlier visit, she attempted to overcharge me on postage. When she did quoted me an outrageous price (not the lowest price which i asked for) for a priority mail delivery, I checked on the usps website for the online postage and I was charged more. If you get the nice Asian guy who is helpful, courteous, and kind then you are lucky. Otherwise, go to another PO. read more

Though you'll practically lose your sanity trying to find a spot in the high demand parking lot, they make up for in service. Valerie was extremely helpful as she saw me trying to pack up a box to send. Recommended a more suitable size that ended up saving me money. I am very pleased with my last experience. Getting into and out of the parking lot is sort of a pain, and the post office is tucked wayyyy back into a corner where it's hard to see. Only one counter was open, which I guess might have been a problem, other that there was no line! Contrary to others' experience with employees, I had no issues. I normally go to WLA USPS but I was in the neighborhood and went there. It was the best USPS ever. Asian (Chinese? and Filipino?) staff was so nice and friendly. I went on weekday 9am and there was no line. It's in the shopping mall and unlike old town pasadena location, there are lots of free parking. Very surprised to see some of negative reviews. I hate writing bad reviews but after my experience today, I feel compelled to warn others of my experience. I was in Pasadena today and not too familiar with the area as I'm from the south bay. However, I thought I could run a couple errands and mail out a birthday card overseas to Indonesia. So I just googled the nearest mail service center and this establishment showed up. So when I walked in, an older Korean man was behind the counter and business seemed slow. I asked him how much it would be to mail the card via FedEx or UPS if I wanted it faster. He looked through his "books" and said it was $98.32 for my card using either service! I looked at him all baffled, and he said that that was what it was and that the card was larger than normal. I can tell you that my card ain't even half the size of an A4 standard paper size. F*** that, I thought, I'm not going to spend THAT kind of money! So I inquired about standard USPS snail mail. He said it was NO guarantee and better off doing FedEx but I insisted that was fine. So he quoted me $6 and plus change. And CASH only. He takes my money and puts the card aside, no stamps and all. I looked at him as he continued to seat down, and continue to look at his magazine or whatever shit he was doing earlier. So I asked if he was going to put stamps on that card. He said he was going to print it out on his electronic machine later. At this point, red flags just kept popping up in my head. Thoughts of: Why did he not put the stamps on my card? Was he even going to mail it? So before I left, I asked for a business card. He said I can just look at the sign outside...?!? I asked if I could get a "sent" receipt or tracker...he said there is no such service there. So as I stood outside the establishment, I decided to do what an intelligent person would do - checked the USPS site online. So my instincts was right: a first class international mail to the country was $1.36 under the maximum size of roughly 11"X6". So there was proof my gut was right. So I walked right back in and told him I had checked USPS online and it said it was $1.36. I politely asked him why he was charging me over $6. So he asked for my receipt and proceeded to return my money so quickly, before even giving me an explanation. But boy, at that point I should have just walked away because I must have woken the GUILTY sleeping giant. I asked him politely again why he was trying to cheat me as it was bad business and he blew up at me. He shouted and screamed that I was lying and that there was no way it would just be a dollar, even though I repeatedly told him that it was evident on the USPS website. The man was practically shaking and almost in my face, if not for the barrier of the counter. I was pretty composed but flabbergasted at his reaction. He was completely defensive, undeniably guilty and he was angry at me for having caught him in the act of theft. So his tactic of screaming and shouting at me, a new customer no less, for lying to him! At this point, the man was a raging lunatic. I decided to walk away and as I left, reiterated that I was just speaking the truth and his crazy shouting, rude behavior towards a girl was completely uncalled for. I am grateful that after that experience, I wasn't shot with a gun nor beaten to a pulp. Either were possibilities with the anger he was exhibiting. And I thought to myself - what if other Asian girls who might be mistakenly identified as a young, international student in town (which I'm neither), he might victimize them the same way as he did to me. So my final warning: Ladies and gentlemen, please be forewarned that this Korean man in this establishment will likely cheat and steal from you. So if you have been there or looking to do business there, run away as quickly as you can. I have spent the time writing this long review only if it can help anyone from the brutal, defensive behavior of this man. He not only will try to cheat you, but will also throw verbal assaults with such vindictiveness, that is proof of his guilt. Even if business is bad (which is evident of his behavior), there is no reason to treat your customers so poorly and with such anger. To Mr-behind-the-counter: Get checked in a mental institution or see a therapist before it's too late, for God knows what you are doing even if you think no one else is looking. read more

I love love love this post office! Maybe it's the time of day that I go, I'm not sure, but I never wait more than five minutes in line. Many times, there isn't even a line! Easy parking in a large lot, good hours, two clerks that know what they are doing. I drive to Pasadena to run errands, and always plan to stop at this PO, rather than the one in my own neighborhood. Worst post office in Pasadena! The clerks are rude! This place is often dead, I wonder why?! Located in a busy Orangewood Center shopping plaza. People often drive recklessly, park illegally and fight over parking space due to the heavy volume of shops and supermarket. It is the worst shopping plaza. Located across from Huntington Hospital near the 134/210 fwy ramp. In the evening is best to avoid this post office b/c often a homeless is staying next to the front entrance making it stinking and scary to drop off mail. Best to avoid for your safety!! read more

I had the strangest experience at this post office. First the postal service employee argued with the customer as I walked in. She (the customer) wanted the postage be put onto her package instead of just be set on the side after she paid. He then told her if she didn't want to leave it there, he'll give her money back. So she did that. I thought that was odd but the customer was also not very friendly about it. Then it was my turn. I had 3 different mailings. One had a stamp already on it, one was going out certified, and last one a large letter with just regular, most plain mailing. First he insisted I needed proof of receipt (green form you receive signed once the receiver signs for it) for my certified letter and I told him I don't want it or need and that certified works well since I can track it. He then weighs both letters and asks for $18 and some cents. I was surprised since I've sent letters like that before for under $6 so I asked him about the specifics. He says that those are the prices. (He also didn't put the mailing labels on the letters and was confused about the certified label.) He said he would check again but then hands me back my letters and disappears into the office on the side. Slightly shocked by my experience I left the post office. I went to the post office on Colorado blvd. and paid $6.33 for both letters without anyone questioning how I'm mailing the letters. Rude, incapable, un-trained and overpriced service.
