I came here because my UPS was accidentally sent to the wrong location. The place itself is very very small and cramped. I believe they service with UPS, Fed Ed, and other mail couriers. It was a simple and easy process for pick up. But the place itself was just too hoarded. Behind the desk there were plenty of packages just stored on top of each other. I have no idea how they find anything there. The staff there were very nice. Two women to be exact. And they were very patient with one customer that was being a handful. I won an item on June 30th and paid for it immediately and excepted the ridiculously overpriced charge of shipping and insurance because I was told this is what is offered. I bought this item for my precious mother who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and was having an 85th birthday. I had time for the package to arrive so I did it and paid. After over three weeks of hearing nothing and receiving NO INFORMATION from this company, I had to contact them a couple of times to finally get an answer as to where my item was. It was never shipped! The guy, Tom said his wife had a biopsy done and something removed. Ok. I get family issues, but to not contact me at all? What am I paying exorbitant prices for? I had to email them twice to finally got a reply. One would think that when over $125 is paid for shipping and ins. and over 3 weeks later it hadn't even shipped, that some reasonable discount would be given but Nooo! $4!! what a dishonest jerk! This price-gouging creep only cares about his money, not the customer! He doesn't work alone,yet no one contacted me! I had to do the leg-work and I had a sick mom to help care for! The item did not get here for her birthday and I paid over $125 for what? This guy is a price gouger, he is insensitive to others and he's dishonest. He is not the only person on this earth who has family illnesses! He needs to start paying attention to and respecting his customers! If he has a family issue at home then he needs to assign somebody else to contact the customer who has been patiently waiting and waiting for their box to arrive. This may have the absolute worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Tried to drop off a package and they let me know they couldn't take it without a label. That is fine. I figured out how to then generate the label from my phone but needed to know weight of the package. The package is small - can fit in your hand. The guy in the back said they don't weigh packages for customers. So no help on label, no way to help me ship, no help using a scale to get me weight, etc... I absolutely can not figure out what they do. I ended up walking out without being able to mail the package. Zero value on shipping from a place actually called post / pack & ship! First off, my package was delivered to this location by UPS without telling me. I didn't receive a 'Failed Attempt' Notification and had to track my package to this location. Had I known it was going to be delivered to another place other than my apartment, I would have NEVER chosen this place at all (and for future reference, I will never have anything sent here moving forward). Regardless, my package ended up here, so I called the store to ask if I could authorize my fiancé to pick up our wedding invites since I have work during their store hours and would not make it on time. I would supply the necessary info and give my consent to release the package. Instead of being helpful, the owner was rude and said he couldn't help me since it was UPS' rules. I asked if I can provide my info and he said "You'll need to call UPS and figure it out yourself. No use in arguing. They probably won't help you out either." I'm typing this verbatim since I'm writing this review within the hour that it happened. As a small business owner, I would think I would want to be courteous and accommodating to my local neighbors and residents in hopes that they will be grateful and come back with more business. Needless to say, I called UPS and asked them to call this location and authorize my request and they did. My fiancé picked up the package with a "roll of the eye" from the owner and I finally have my package. He showed proof of the address that was on the package and honestly, it would have saved everyone time had he only politely provided solutions and assistance where he could. Store owner charges $14 for a book of stamps that should cost $9.80. When I asked the proprietor why he thought he could charge so much, he said it was business and he could charge whatever he wanted to charge. I told him that the grocery store is also a business but doesn't overcharge for stamps. He told me I could go there instead. So I did. Was told by owners of nearby businesses that he has a reputation for charging three times the amount for Fedex, and for being very rude. If there is a prize at Yelp for the overall one star award, this store is it! In my years of using yelp, this is the only store I could recall having such a low rating, and guess what? It's WELL-DESERVED! I came to drop off a package with a prepaid fedex ground label. I checked fedex.com to ensure this store takes fedex ground drop off, and it says it does. So after trying to fight to get a parking spot (it's located inside a strip mall with Von's inside), I walked in and the store was empty except for a middle-aged man working behind the counter (same description as other reviewers). I asked to confirm if they take fedex ground drop off and he said, "let me see." Once he saw the label, he said "no no no, we only take express." I then politely asked him if he knew of any other places nearby that take fedex ground, instead of a "I don't know" or any other verbal responses, he gestured me to go while waving at the man that had just walked in the store with a package. He was so rude and obnoxious it was appalling. It wasn't until I got home until I saw all of the negative reviews. I purchase quite a few items in online auctions. I purchased a pair of spelter statues and the auction house recommended Post Pack & Ship. The statues weighed about 30 pounds each and although metal, shelter can break considering the Samsonite guerrillas have been reemployed by shipping companies. The auction house delivered my statutes to Post Pack & Ship in about a week. Communication from Tom was good. He got back to me with a quote and I paid a reasonable price for packaging and shipping. I was patient. After a couple weeks I received a receipt with tracking information. Upon arrival the packing was clearly professional, and double boxed. Plenty of packing peanuts, padded wrap and bubble wrap was used to immobilize the statues within the boxes. I ask Tom to pack to insure that the statues arrived in one piece and that is exactly what I got. I have a mailbox here and the owner Robert has always been respectful and nice. He loves animals and welcomes my dogs (and kids) when I come get my mail or shipping something. I definitely do not share any of the negative experiences that others have written about regarding this shopkeeper. He has been fair, friendly and kind to me in our interactions and I see him multiple times a week. Prior to having a mailbox, I would periodically bring prepaid UPS items in. I never had any problem leaving those with him for pickup and he was happy to accept them. This is a owner operated business where you receive personal assistance.
