Do NOT use this service. They try to scam you by quoting rates that are double what is listed on their site. I am in the unfortunate situation of being outside of the country and need to get my package but they are refusing to help find a cheap mailing solution. I do believe they're profiting off of whatever prices they quote. Check their other reviews for reports of price gouging. I took it upon myself and found a cheaper mailing option and they refuse to use it for reasons that are unclear to me (scammers?) This is a very uncertain time with the pandemic of a serious virus. The Post Pack and Ship located on California Blvd. is very clean and sanitized. The owner sprays alcohol on all counter tops and anyplace there is something to touch, like a credit card machine. Upon leaving the store, he also sprayed my hands. Very rude, very arrogant and extremely condescending man working here. Not sure if he's the owner or not but honestly, I do not know how someone like this stays in business (or remains employed). There are other, better post / mail / ship centers in the Old Town Pasadena area. Seek out one of those instead if you want better customer service and the potential to be treated like an actual human being. I went to this store three times during a week to ship items oversees. The prices they quoted are non-sensical. $350 to ship a pair of shoes to the UK!!! I tried again a second time with a much smaller item - $175! Then today I was told that the paperwork provided to me by the company was inadequate and that I needed a "commercial invoice" and what I had wasn't one...well it was. I had all the same information need but they told me it wasn't correct. Well, I was able to use the same document and go online to dhl and arrange for them to pick it up from me which they did earlier today. How is this possible but the store wasn't able to take it? The manager/owner actually boldly stated that DHL would refuse the package. No problem for DHL. The manager and employees might be the rudest people in customer service. The are either liars, incompetent, unhelpful and stupid. I won't even mention the racial dynamics at play!! DON"T TRUST THEM. read more

Very rude and untrustworthy worthy. Not helpful, came here because I needed to drop a ups package off not knowing there was a ups store down the street. I came in and aske to drop it off. The guy didn't look a me after I said it was a ups drop off. I know he's not making any money for shipping, bur I beleive the do get credit for drop offs. Very rude told me to leave it at the counter. I asked for a receipt he didn't acknowledge me. I waited a secod think maybe he just didnt hear me. This time, no vocl answer just shaking his head. I said no?? No you wont give me a receipt. This time again very rudely, just just answered I dont give receipts. After that, i decicede its not a good idea to drop it off here, how do I know he won't just open it up and see whats in there. Anyways, there was a UPS store around the corner. I brought my own packaging and unfortunately I forgot packing take. The tape was right next to me and I asked the guy if I can use it. He straight up said, "NO, I charge a dollar." The man working at this store just sent my wife home in tears. She sent a domestic package with them over a month ago (finding out later he charged her $28 for what the post office charges $15) and the package never arrived, nor was it returned back to us. He didn't offer her the option to track the package and began screaming at her when she politely asked if there's any way to find out where the package went. Unfortunately my wife didn't look at these Yelp reviews before going to this store. This is as bad as customer service gets. Worst shop experience EVER! The (asian) guy is suck an a**hole!!! I'm living in the US for like 1 month, so I'm still unused to a lot of things, including shipping prices. The first time I went to this guy, it was to ship VERY important papers to France, using Fedex. To know how much it was, I did an estimate on Fedex website, and I saw 2 prices : Fedex international first at $106.33 and Fedex international priority at $57.51, but I didn't print the estimate (Fedex indicates "FedEx Authorized ShipCenter Post/pack & Ship" so I though it was the same rates for everybody). Once I put all the papers into the Fedex enveloppe the guy told me "it's $118.50". I told him "what? there must be a mistake, it was like $60 on the fedex website" and he replied "oh no no no". OK, I though I made a mistake somewhere in my estimate and I paid. I though I would never come back again but I wasn't sure if I was ripped off or not yet. Next time I went there, I had to post a regular envelope (just regular, not heavy, nothing). It was 5pm 05 and the USPS location just closed! So I decided to come back to this guy again, because it was for regular stamps, and I though that you can't sell regular stamps an any other price that the normal price (it's this way in France). The guy gave me a 12 stamps booklet and told me "it's $12". Again, I was surprised by the guy told me again "oh no no no no you are wrong"! The envelope was to TX, so I though there was some special stamps or something, depending to the destination. And the guy told me to put 2 (!!!!!!) stamps on the enveloppe. Again, it was the very first time I posted a regular mail in the US, so I didn't had any idea on how mail is priced here and the guy must have feel it! When I came back home, I decided to check everything. I was 100% ripped off. I did confirmed the $57.51 prices at Fedex and a 20 booklet of the exact same stamps (a flag for all seasons stamps, no prices indicated on them) is sold for $9.20 ($0.46/stamp and I paid $1/stamp). The guy just multiplies all prices by 2 or 3. Honestely this shop deserves the prize of the worst customer experience ever. And also negative stars at yelp. DON'T GO THERE. FOR ANY REASON. Don't waste your time coming here for help with your passport. The woman who helped us seemed intentionally unhelpful. She kept trying to up-sell us and I felt she acted oblivious to it. The energy was off so we decided to check out the post office and glad we did! It's $100 for renewal w/ your old passport and $130 for a brand new application. I've always gone to drop off location stores like this and they've always taken any sizes but never limited me based on size. Update: Corrected, when I walked in the store this Asian guy said what you want then I said I have a package to drop off and he said rudely that we don't take large packages. He didn't tell me he didn't take USPS packages over 13 oz until after this review. However you just stated that I was partially correct that you do not take USPS packages over 13 oz. I've been to many postal service shops Iike yours and have always taken USPS packages over 13 oz. not once I have been turned down. So yes my review was partially correct that you didn't take my USPS package that was over 13 oz but due to your miscommunication. Tom really came through. I purchased an item at auction. Tom picked it up from the auction house promptly and shipped it quickly in high-quality, heavy-duty packaging. When it arrived, though, it was damaged (turned out to have happened during in-store handling) and Tom took full responsibility, paying the cost to restore the item and refunding me the shipping fee. Do not go here for anything. I signed up for mail box service here, the korean gentleman here said i would need a large box because I told him I do get a lot of packages. I made sure there was no extra charges for him to receive my packages because I'm at work and I'm not home to sign for them. He said its free. Fast forward 2 weeks. I get 3 medium size packages and I call him to ask if it came. He said it did and he would have to charge me $5 a package if I did not pick it up by the time he closed. Because he did not have space. I do a lot of online shopping so more packages are on its way. I call him and he says I have too many packages and he will have to charge me an extra $40 a month. Before I even finished talking he hung up on me. That just pushed me over the line. This guy is a scam artist. I pre paid for 6 months and I cannot get the money back. He won't release my packages now unless I pay him extra. This is a nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE read more

I actually felt bad about even thinking of writing a bad review for this place, because I try to look at the positive, and not just be negative on a website because I can. BUT my gut told me to write a bad review because I could not believe how rude the owner is at this place. THEN I read everyone else's reviews and decided I wasn't the bad guy after all. Went in on a Saturday bought 6 shipping boxes for $70 (very overpriced, but I thought I really needed them). There was a young man who helped me, very nice, and even loaded my car. HE gets 5 stars. I found out on Sunday, I didn't need them and had my assistant return them on Monday. I called first, and at first he said he would only exchange, but I said I needed to return them for cash (I paid in cash). He said ok. My assistant went in, and he refused to return the boxes. Instead, he kept the receipt, kept the boxes, and said I had to drive there the next day (driving to Pasadena from DT is 10mi each way, so this is not just easy breezy driving there). Went the next day, I smiled and said I needed to complete my return. He asked for my ID, and wrote me a check. After he returned my ID he threw his pen on his desk in anger, and as I turned to go out he slammed his office door hard. I turned around to look, and he looked away from me. Wow I almost don't need to write this review, all other reviews seem to say the same thing. This man is terribly rude, do not go here (especially since there is a post office several feet away.) The man was rude to my wife and then to me when I tried to get an explanation. She was trying to drop off an envelope for a client who has a mailbox there, but he tried to charge $3 for "postage" which doesn't seem right. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the person already pays for the mailbox, so it doesn't matter how something is delivered to it. The cost of postage covered getting an item from point A to point B but it shouldn't matter if a mailman, Santa Claus or I drop the envelope off right? Either way, he was extremely rude about it, and that's the point. It seems that other people have had much worse problems though. I don't know how he stays in business. read more
