Wow I almost don't need to write this review, all other reviews seem to say the same thing. This man is terribly rude, do not go here (especially since there is a post office several feet away.) The man was rude to my wife and then to me when I tried to get an explanation. She was trying to drop off an envelope for a client who has a mailbox there, but he tried to charge $3 for "postage" which doesn't seem right. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the person already pays for the mailbox, so it doesn't matter how something is delivered to it. The cost of postage covered getting an item from point A to point B but it shouldn't matter if a mailman, Santa Claus or I drop the envelope off right? Either way, he was extremely rude about it, and that's the point. It seems that other people have had much worse problems though. I don't know how he stays in business. read more

Went here for a livescan. The owner says their starting price is $75. Called a nearby place who quoted me $18. I can understand the need to make a profit, but charging more than 4x seems unreasonable. Further, when I inquired about the disparity, politely asking if he had made a mistake, he was not particularly rude but I didn't feel warmth either. I just put a neutral 3-stars because I don't necessarily want to interfere with this guys livelihood. I do feel it necessary to inform the business owner, as well as any potential customers, that this is not the place to go for the best prices. It is also not a good place to go if you are expecting exceptionally warm/friendly customer service from the business owner (Thomas). I understand this guy is trying to run a business and needs to make money. I hope he can understand that some people (like myself) appreciate a warm attitude and slightly more competitive pricing. This man should not be allowed to be in business. He is rude, misrepresents the fees, there is no customer service. My son went in with a flat rate us postoffice box (he didn't realize the post office was a few doors down), and the man said that it was an extra charge for weight and cheaper to go UPS. Flat rate is flate rate at the postoffice. I called and tried to get him to stop the shipment, and he hung up on me, and wouldn't let me come back and pick up the package. I ended up paying $47.00 for a $14.95 shipment. read more

I was across the street at the hospital and had to get a document notarized and mailed urgently. I had found this business on yelp and despite the not-so-stellar reviews, I decided to get my urgent business done here because it was the closest place. As I walked up to the place, I saw the "under new management" banner hanging out in the front. I was helped by Tom, the new owner, who was very professional and helpful. He was quick but very thorough and answer several questions I had without missing a beat. The space is really clean and you can tell that Tom has put in a lot of work to get the place looking sharp and up-to-date. I don't usually go out of my way to leave reviews on yelp normally, but I wanted to let everyone know that Post Pack & Ship is under a new management and thought they deserved a good review from a very satisfied customer. I'm not local to the area, but if I'm in the area in need of any notary public or shipping related service, I'll be stopping by here again. read more

A great place! I initially made a appointment for Live Scan fingerprinting but realized before I went that they could also take care of the passport sized photo and sending my documents through FedEx for me so I showed up a bit early and asked if we were able to take care of all of those things and we got right to it. All three services - finger printing, passport photos, and shipping were taken care of in a quick, efficient, and professional manner. I needed to send a packet of information to a professional board and Tom was very familiar with the process of sending this kind of information and made some suggestions about packaging and shipping that were much appreciated and very helpful. It is important to note that the Live Scan fingerprinting fees are a bit higher than other places, but for that little extra I was able to make an appointment so I did not have to walk in and potentially wait and the service was excellent. Completely worth the extra cost for both the convenience and the quality of service. An extra bonus is that parking is super easy and free which is always nice anywhere in LA. No one likes a shipping emergency and nothing possibly is more stressful, but the new Owner Tom I believe switched our frown upside down. First he contacted the driver of the last pick up of the week that he had one last package that couldn't be missed! Then he very knowledgeably picked the correct box size which he explained he could cut down to a more accurate size, just that width was most important I Determining the correct shipping box. He also gave us all the shipping prices for the days we asked. While helping us so diligently, he also managed to help a lady after Us in a timely and kind manner. He wasn't able to help the lady. With her key copy, but thoughtfully pointed to a poster he already had up with another key company that would be able to help her. Tom offered us a cold bottle of water because it was a hot day. How sweet of him! He did forget to tell us we got 10% off for checking in on yelp, but apologized profusely for forgetting. This is place was awesome! I had my shipment lost by UPS and this location was able to locate and have it forwarded to me. This store is your one stop shop when you want to ship or mail out anything you need. I had my Mail box here for years and never had better service. I saw so many negative comments made by misinformed customers. Over and over again about stamps being overcharged etc. Stamps are sold at one price from USPS, there is no wholesale no bulk pricing for anyone. If you need stamps go to the post office, if you buy stamps anywhere else it's the convenience fee of avoiding the huge line at post office and these stores need to sell at profit. Even Wells Fargo sells stamps from their ATM machines at 30% markup. I can't believe how many people left bad reviews when it was them being misinformed. Yelp should really have some way to discredit or measure intelligence of its yelpers. Ignore all the bad reviews, this place is the best. read more

I hate to give a bad review, but this is a shipping place, so I think people should know how much more they're going to pay if they ship from here. When my husband dropped off our two packages, the woman ahead of him in line was complaining to the owner(?) that she was going to report him for price gouging. But you know how people complain, so my husband didn't think too much of it. He went ahead and shipped our two packages FedEx Ground. Admittedly, one of our boxes was heavy; nevertheless, when my husband came home, he said, "You won't BELIEVE how much this cost!" The two packages came to over $100 (and we'd provided the shipping materials). We decided to put the weight and size information--from Post Pack & Ship's receipt itself--into FedEx's website. What we found was that we had paid 45% more than the FedEx website said it should have cost! I called FedEx, where she confirmed it. For a package that (based on our dimensions, weight and zip codes) FedEx said should cost $55.58, we paid $75.92. For one that should have cost $19.17, we paid $32.68. I have a business, so I understand the need to make a profit, but I think a 45% surcharge is unreasonable. As the woman at FedEx said, "They are really gouging you!" Perhaps Post Pack & Ship is fine for other things, so I didn't rate them a 1, but I don't think the public is well served when a person can drive a few blocks farther and use a FedEx facility--and presumably, save 45%--almost $34 in our case. We will certainly be taking our shipping business elsewhere. read more

Without knowing that USPS was right down like five stores away from them I went and had something paid and have something mailed to my daughter it has been three weeks I allowed extra time because I thought oh I could've sent it off late and I go there because my daughter has never received my package that I mailed her I bought I told the owner is who I spoke to this morning I told the owner I bought six boxes that were 399 each and I pay about your envelope to repackage it and I paid for the packaging for it to ship. He tells me how no my name is not in the system and my daughters name is not in the system and am I sure that I mailed it from him after telling him all of those details he asked me was I sure I mailed it there I was like I'm absolutely sure I mailed it yet I just told you I literally told him where he was sitting said you were sitting there and that chair I told him who is a female that helped me I told him it was in September and I let him know that he had to tell her where to go get the boxes from in order to sell them to me the size boxes I was looking for and he asked me was I sure that I was a nurse his store and I mailed it with him somebody trusses you with information to flow through our mail system the last Thing that you should do is not deliver their mail and your business is called Post pack and ship how do you miss shipping how do you away sending somebody smell out and that's what your business and towels when I asked him to look up inventory I was like you scanned the boxes the boxes have a school on it you can't look up as I can give you two weeks I will give you two weeks to look through your your your items your receipts and see that those six boxes left the transaction was made. Needless to say he attempted to convince me there was nothing to be done (no thing(?)). Maybe two weeks later he sees me in Vons and tells me he looked up the footage on his security camera and I was right (?) I did ship from there. As if I needed the confirmation (I knew where I shipped it from. He also told me I didn't track it (didn't think I would need to). He did let me know he'd contact the Memphis postal service and attempt to have my package located. I received my package, it was found through the United States postal service (I was given the wrong zip code) in December 2019. The owner didn't think I'd get it back - I'm grateful. I feel like I would have received it earlier had we got over his resistance of me being acknowledged of remembering I mailed the package from his store we could have contacted Memphis the first day I was there. A person giving all the details of the transaction would suggest they were in your facility conducting business and mailing something. My wife and I came in today fairly last minute before a trip to Mexico for passport renewal. Tom and Rebecca helped us out with expedited passports. We got our photos on the spot, they typed in all of the needed information and they ship everything out for a 10-day turnaround. There were faster, more expensive options, but they only recommended what we needed and did not oversell. We were done with two passport photos and the applications in about 15 minutes. Great! No more worrying about how to renew our passports before our trip. I'd definitely recommend coming here to renew a passport. There were many online options for renewal where you are asked to FedEx your passport across the country for renewal, which seems a bit unsafe. This way we dealt with two people in a brick and mortar location and we can follow up with a real person if need be. Check them out! Update°°°° We received telephone call yesterday our passports were in. Picked them up today. That's a 10-day day turnaround as promised. This store made it easy for a fairly last minute renewal and we were able to avoid going down to the Federal Building over in Westwood, which was pretty awesome. I envisioned a long drive to West LA from Pasadena, a long wait at some passport office windoe, not to mention missing work. This was a great alternative. I would recommend using these folks for passports. The place is called Post Pack Ship but technically we didn't use these services. For anyone interested im that, I'd say I observed a brisk business of people coming in for that and some kind of printing services and post office boxes. I can't speak to these services other than to say other customers appeared satisfied. It's the same employees that worked on our passport issue, so I would go back when I need to ship a package.
