The last two times I've gone to this store I've had a really bad experience. The first time I emailed them a file and asked for 20 copies. When the employee opened the file from the email all the margins had gotten messed up but he never bothered to tell me. He printed out 20 copies of the corrupted file and handed them to me and charged me. I was so upset with him for not having the courtesy of pointing out that the file had been corrupted so that I could fix it. I had to resend it and pay again for the printing. His attitude was "that's your problem not mine". The next time I again sent another file to print as I wanted a good quality print. Again I got the same employee. I asked him if the file looked okay before printing and he said it looked fine. Once the copies were made he charged me and then handed me the copies. The colors were all messed up and the copies are totally unusable. I told him that and asked if his printer needs ink. He just shrugged and said it's new ink and then turned away! Another wasted charge. Even though I'm local and want to support my town's businesses, I am never going back there. The customer service is atrocious (at least this guy). read more

What an excellent and convenient neighborhood place! The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful in notarizing my documents after I had an extraordinarily hard time finding a Notary today. They are so helpful & friendly! I got my passport application here and after I filled it out and I brought it back with my photos, they checked to be sure that it was completed properly, stapled the photo to the application and then they mailed it out for me so easily! They also have office supplies, can send out FedEx, can make copies and more! You can RENEW your US passport here. They take 2 photos 2X2 for $15. They will provide you the DS-82 form for renewal. Only one photo will be used for the form and the other one is for you to keep. Whenever I've gone in to handle a transaction or even just to ask for advice, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

This morning I needed to drop off an UPS package. Instead of driving, I decided to take a eco-friendly, heart-healthy 25 minutes walk to the store. Much to my surprise, my printer had missed a few numbers on the shipping label. Clerk Jason could have sent me walking. Being the super nice guy that he is, Jason asked me to email the shipping label to the store. He then printed a self-adhesive label and took care of the whole thing. Before work today I decided to leave an hour early and ship a document. We have used this location many times with great service hence the two stars instead of one. My experience today was quite awful. The counter person provided me with the forms to fill out then went to talk to someone in the office. After finishing I waited........finally asking another associate (who was helping another customer) to call out the person helping me. I needed another form which he gave me and went back into the office again. This cycle repeats three times; me having to ask for his retrieval each time to finish my transaction. I LOVE this store. They DO everything pertaining to mailing and shipping. The also do notary services. The can ship via all the shipping companies, UPS, USPS, etc. You can bring in a parcel for shipping or just bring in the item and they will package it up, safe and sound, so you don't have to worry about it. They lied to me about this and assured me that the only profit they make is on the wholesale shipping rate that Fed Ex affords them. Enter in that information and you will see that Mail Box & Postal does indeed charge 25% - 30% more than the Fed Ex RETAIL rate. This 'undisclosed' surcharge is IN ADDITION to the profit they make from their Fed Ex wholesale shipping rate as an authorized Fed Ex shipper. I don't have a problem with companies charging whatever they like for their services. I do have a problem with being lied to. Save yourself the 25% and go directly to a Fed Ex location. Fed Ex has assured me that they will take up this unethical business practice with this vendor. read more
