Wow, what can I say? Not a pleasant experience at all, unfortunately. And this was two days before Christmas. My cousin needed a box for a white elephant exchange and an Apple gift card. This post office had both items, fortunately. There was only one other person ahead of us and the lady working at the counter was exchanging familiar holiday pleasantries with her, maybe taking just a tad bit too long. But whatever. When it was finally our turn, her tone and attitude did a complete 180. This seemed really odd to me, but then again, this is the post office. And I figured it would be a quick in and out; at least that's what I thought it was going to be. Every answer and sentence from this woman was curt and just super impersonal, like she didn't like the fact that we were there in the first place. No holiday pleasantries for us, I guess. And all we did was walk in. Things got worse after that. Apparently the Apple gift card he wanted to buy wasn't working and accepting money for whatever reason. And so she asked us to grab another one. That one didn't work as well. But she had already charged his card. 15 minutes later, after some computer keyboard magicianry, she ended up having to give only partial cash back from the total gift card amount since they didn't have enough cash on-hand in the register. The rest came in a money order that she had to process as well. So now we're being inconvenienced with having to carry around money orders because - for reasons that were really never made sense - the gift cards wouldn't take any money. Another staffer was there, maybe a manager, who had to put in his code in the computer to authorize these transactions. I told him maybe they should pull all the Apple gift cards from the shelves since they don't apparently work. He completely ignored me. Didn't even look my way. In the end, his colleague could barely muster up an apology for a 15-minute interaction that should've taken a couple minutes. The surveillance footage from this local neighborhood incident is deeply disturbing. A local mail carrier was caught on camera throwing rocks at a harmless, well-known neighborhood peacock, leaving, and returning with a stick to strike it over the head. Escalating a situation to deliberate cruelty against local wildlife shows a complete lack of judgment and restraint. Our community expects basic professionalism and safety from delivery personnel. Worst post office in So Cal Always a line and never more than one clerk. They are among the slowest ever and you usually wait 20-30 min or longer while they take as long as they please. I waited in line and they wouldn't even print a pre paid USPS label that I could not print at home so I couldn't even mail the package which was paid for. It's always a headache and disorganized. I actively avoid this awful post office. It never goes smoothly and it's usually unpleasant. I wish they would be slightly helpful but they simply do not care, at all. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was sending a package to a friend from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the building. However, sometimes that parking lot is full. So what I usually end up doing is park in the El Nido Plaza and walk over to the post office. Absolutely baffled at the customer service. Came here on Tuesday morning to drop off a package. As the stickers on the ground states to wait outside of the office, I did just that. Other customers cut in front of me to wait in the office. When it was my turn, and by the way, the male clerk closest to the door noticed I've been waiting, tells me "you have to get in line" I've been in line. Absolutely outrageous, I pointed out the customers that cut me in line. He asks me why was I waiting outside and proceeded to give me attitude (ITS COVID POLICY AND IM SORRY YOU DONT ENFORCE IT). He told me to write my address and grab the pen across the room. Was it so difficult to just let me borrow your pen? I then proceeded to get help from the female clerk since he was already with another customer once I was done. Both clerks that was working this late morning proceeded to treat me as if I was dumb to not have things written on the package. A rookie mistake since I don't send stuff out through USPS often. I just want to say that there is a mailman here who is so delightful to interact with. I never thought I would enjoy a visit to the post office but his kindness was so refreshing. I never had any problems here in the past and I've even rented a mail box here for a few months without any issues, so overall the service has been everything I needed it to be on its own. Also the place has all the standard items you need to mail a package including nice gift cards and such. The customer experience though brings the average 4 stars up to 5. Basically, Josh was very attentive, professional, polite, timely with assisting me with my package. Plus, practicing and protection from spreading COVID-19. Most importantly, after the transaction, I left my wallet on the counter and drove away only to realize that my wallet was at the USPS station. The one thing that irks me about going to the post office is that some people don't have their packages prepared. Some are packing and writing while in the line. I am cursed that mail for my zip code comes out of this post office. 1) When it comes to packages, forget it. The carriers constantly claim to knock on the door and ring bell. But they don't. 2) No matter how many times we inform my letter carrier, we still get mail for people who haven't lived at this address for almost a year. On 8/24/2018 at 1:40 PM I came in to this post office mail a simple personal letter to Canada. ( Bill #840-59130018-3-1063162-2) Clerk: 66 (Receipt # 0558640607) Total cost $2.30. Today on 8/29/2018 at 10:00 AM this letter came back in my mailbox with a red stamp "returned for postage" with what looked like the postage ripped off the letter. So today on 8/29/2018 at 10:40 AM I went in to get this matter taken care of, either put a stamp and honor my purchase of the postage or refund the $2.30 postage I paid for the letter. Viri was the one helping and stated that she needed to see my receipt. At first I didn't know if I could find it, digging through my wallet, and she said unless I had a receipt she would not help. So I did find the receipt and presented it to her, and then she told me to call the main office. REALLY???? You made me dig for a receipt just to tell me some canned cookie-cutter answer they taught you during your job orientation?? So I told her I needed a refund or a stamp on the letter, as the receipt is proof that I PAID for the postage 5 days ago already, and now I'm having to come back up here to get this SAME letter mailed off again. She kept parroting the same thing about calling the main office or going to the main office. I told her I was not going to let her make me jump through hoops like a Bengali Tiger at the Circus for something simple as this. She insisted that this was the only way, and I asked for the manager. She says no manager is there. (Of course the manager is NEVER there. LOL.) So now my patience is DONE and I take out my cell phone to record my receipt and my envelope and speak into the phone documenting this. Viri asks me if I'm recording her, I tell her NO, I'm recording MY letter and MY receipt, although I could record her if I wanted to. (Post office is a public place) Viri commences to argue with me about the law, as if she were Johnny Cochran himself. I direct her back to the REALITY of her job at the POST OFFICE and inform her that I will be making a Yelp review, and sending incident reports. She then says "Let me see what I can do" goes to the back. It's sad that customers have to take things this far for a SIMPLE LITTLE issue like this! After a few moments out comes a gentleman out who's name is Sang. He calls me over to the next counter and inquires. I present him with all the information, letter, and receipt and do you know he pulls out a stamp and puts it on the envelope and thanks me. DONE. Taken care of. Now WHY couldn't this have been done in the FIRST place?? Viri is not the only one and her method of problem solving mirrors the overall general culture there. If I had not persisted, she was going to have me get back in my car, drive to the main office, waste at least another 2 to 3 hours on time and gas for $2.30 postage, when all she had to do was just put another stamp on it like Sang eventually did! Ridiculous and just plain lazy to think it through. When I came back to document her name, she noticed me looking at her name tag, and as I was walking out she confidently (and almost arrogantly) yelled behind me "My Name is Viri!" NEITHER of them apologized for my letter not being mailed properly IN THE FIRST PLACE and me having to come BACK again a second time.This post office has ZERO customer service. I tried to send mail internationally, paid for tracking to confirm receipt too, per the recommendation of the staff here. One month later, it still did not arrive and the tracking I purchased couldn't be traced. I go back in and Marsha, the supervisor, was extremely rude and overly defensive indicating I should have purchased a different method of sending. When I explained it was her staff who sold me this, she said the USPS can't guarantee anything and that it only pays for my mail to get to the country, not the recipient and it's not her and her staffs problem. This location is notorious for two things. One, for being extremely rude after all they have a government job. Secondly, they are also infamous for not giving a rats you know what for losing packages. I came in on June 27 and dropped off three packages two of which were delivered one has officially been lost. I've come in now for the third time and have called customer three times and spent hours chasing my package and they had the nerve to tell me "that maybe I didn't mail it"? Disgusting behavior. I've not been a fan of this post office and normally go to Arcadia, even though we live in Pasadena, and even though the clerks in Arcadia get a bit cranky. But I went here in Pasadena yesterday and I've got to give the employee props. The line was long and slow as always but he was so, so patient with people, people who were completely unprepared to send a package. He was lending people tape and explaining things and he was just so patient. And when my turn came he was really fast. So yeah, going to the post office is going to take some time, and there's going to be a slow line, but this is an okay place to do it. read more

This is the main post office I use for my small online business. I drop off packages here multiple days at a week, Monday to Saturday. Though parking is limited, I've always found a parking spot, compared to the main Lincoln USPS location. I've always found the two main postal clerks Sang and Danny very helpful and easy to work with. As a small business I often need to consult the post office employees about shipping regulations and packaging criteria, and its staff are very knowledgeable. I've observed a few patrons who were hostile towards its employees, yet Sang and Danny have kept their cool under pressure. In 2018 there has been an additional third staff person more frequently, often Fawn or Linda. More recently there has even been a fourth staff person who I believe maybe a supervisor. Either way, it's nice to see additional staff at this location, because it makes the lines small and service faster. A few things I do not like about this location is it has a very small and limited capacity package drop box compared to the Lincoln Branch. The drop box door or slot often gets jammed stuck due to being to full or someone cramming a big package inside. That is a big inconvenience, especially because the previous post office that this location replaced had a much large drop box. This location removed it's street accessible mail boxes so all mail requires you to find a parking slot and go inside to drop mail, also an inconvenience. This location shares parking with other retail stores and businesses so finding a parking slot will not be always be quickly possible. 50% of the time this location has homeless individuals in front of the empty retail store next to the post office, or in front of the post office asking for money. (Several of them live behind the post office in the floodwater control basin) There is no way to get to the parking lot and avoid them unless you walk in the driveway traffic. This location is barely wheel chair accessible with a single narrow entry way/exit that often has a large line standing into its hallway. The wider front doors are locked and blocked with merchandise displays. Even as an able Bodied person, I hope I am never at this location during an earthquake, fire or emergency, because it will be a scene of utter chaos due to the single narrow accessible entry from the hallway. This location is not recommended if you are limited physically, because the two handicap parking slots near the post office are full 98% of the time, even when the post office and Subway sandwich shop are empty. The handicapped parking also forces those with wheel chair or other physical limitations to have to navigate around or pass in front of the homeless individuals that sit in front of the empty storefront. All other parking requires walking a considerable distance to the middle parking lot which is three retail store locations away. Worst times to visit this location are after 2:30 pm when it gets really busy. read more

What makes a 5-star Post Office? Great parking, quick lines and a lot of options, like vending machines that weigh your envelope/package and sell you postage. This Post Office doesn't have those things, however for me, it's never been the disaster that the other reviews call it. I go to this Post Office 1-2 times daily to drop off packages. People who do not like waiting in lines and do not have patience to let people do their jobs shouldn't go to this or any Post Office, but should probably learn about solutions like USPS.COM or STAMPS.COM. It will not only save them time, but you'll save money compared to the "retail" rate. As I mentioned above, I go to this Post Office daily and know the team to be hard workers and very customer-minded, often reviewing options with customers to save money or get faster delivery. They once stopped me to give me a tip on a type of free Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging, that ships for only $0.45 more but allows me to ship more efficiently (fitting more items per package, etc). Thank you Danny, Sang, Alma, Phan, et al... ________________ Notes: * I ship from this Post Office because it is the Shipped From Zip Code on my shipping labels, and shipping from a different Post Office complicates issues for USPS in regards to staffing, funding, etc. * Packages greater than 13 oz MUST be dropped off inside the Post Office even if they fit in a mail slot/box, or they will be returned. * While much of the packaging you see is for sale, they offer quite a few free packaging solutions if you are shipping via Priority Mail. * There is more illegal parking here than I've ever seen. People are so lazy. Parking in red...Parking in handicapped spots...Parking directly in front of the entrance...If there truly are ticket quotas, thousands of dollars can be made here daily from these jackasses. read more

Long line, two clerks who were taking their sweet time. When I finally got to the desk, I asked to ship my box first class. He didn't say anything - no greeting, no friendliness at all, only asked if I needed any stamps at the end. The price was higher than I estimated at home, but I thought maybe I had made an error. When I got home, I looked at the receipt to find an estimated date of arrival, and no wonder it was more expensive than I thought - he shipped it priority! It's only a few dollars so that's not really a big deal, but I'm super annoyed that I specifically asked for first class and he didn't even listen to me. I just had the worst customer service experience in my life. I had 2 packages shipped to my PO Box and there was a slip in the box to pick them up at the counter. The lady that handed one of the packages to me said, "are you happy now?!" In a very sarcastic tone. I was not unhappy before. So I thought that was strange. And keep in mind I was one of the first few customers of the day...so it's not like they've had a stressful day (which still may not be an excuse for the bad attitudes). So I manage to have one package handed to me and the other was no where to be found. I show them the screen from amazon.com that shows that the delivery FOR BOTH PACKAGES were successfully delivered to the correct address. The two ladies, Linda and Marcia, continued to hatefully tell me that the package just hasn't gotten to them yet. They said it doesn't matter what amazon.com says, they will put the package in the PO Box when it gets there. And then both ladies just walked away like I was so insignificant. I realize that this is a government ran program and may not be as efficient, but why treat people so terribly? I'm just going to avoid using USPS from now on. read more

This Post Office has plenty of parking and as long as you don't show up around 3-5pm then there isn't usually a wait. The employees tend to be nice and friendly, but some do look bored. read more
