    Blueberry Or Banana Walnut Pancakes

Solid spot to grab breakfast or brunch! They have a wide variety of tasty menu items, and have options for the vegan, vegetarian, or carnivore crown. Service is very friendly, and parking is easy. I've brought multiple visitors here, and everybody has always enjoyed their meal. My favorite thing to order here are the cornbread rancheros - they are so good! The pancakes are also good, and huge! One thing to note is that there is an upcharge if you want real maple syrup with your pancakes.

Ate here many years ago and all I remembered was that the biscuits were good. My memory was correct! Beverages and food were served promptly but we hardly saw our server after he brought our food: no coffee refills or check back to see if we needed anything. I'm still giving a 5-star rating because the food was so good. I only ordered a standard breakfast, but the eggs, bacon and potatoes were all cooked perfectly and I could eat several of those biscuits. I'll try not to wait so long again to return.

I really enjoyed the selection of here... the pork green chili and grits had some good heat but a good taste as well. The custard toast was something different than the usual and really good, which is what I like in a restaurant especially for breakfast. The people behind the bar were nice and made a nice seasonal coffee drink. Worth checking out.

Came here for breakfast. I would say it is a diner but a little nicer than a regular diner. Service was great, much better than in most places in Denver. I wasn't a fun of the seats because they were too hard. Otherwise place is clean and appealing, The menu is pretty large and has lots of selections and reasonably priced. I think it was the cheapest meal we had in Denver and it was also high quality and tasty. I had quinoa ball that was unique and filling. My husband had breakfast plate with eggs and meat patty. Meat patty was actually made of real meat and not some processed food. Definitely recommend.

The food was great. My husband liked the Arnold Palmer. A cute little hole in the wall place.

Holy crap. One of the best breakfast burritos I've had in Denver. The Universal isn't a massive restaurant, and it gets busy, so if you're going to walk in for brunch like me and my two friends did on a Sunday morning, I'd recommend arriving early, especially to find parking. We were eventually seated at the bar in some corner seats. The U Breakfast Burrito ($15) has jalapeño, cheddar and pepper jack grits, pulled pork, eggs, and habanero honey, smothered with pulled pork green chili and cilantro. OMG! It's huge, packed with flavor, and fresh. I didn't get a chance to try their Bloody Mary but definitely will next time. Service was quick. Would come back and get another burrito.

I don't know what I was thinking with the last review. This is by far our favorite brunch spot in Denver BY FaR. In a world where people are more focused on health this is the perfect balance of diner meets quality. Where you can have amazing tasting dishes but not feel like you're rolling out the door. If you're in DENVeR don't think twice!

    Grit special

One of our breakfast staples. Their food is unique and delicious and their grits are the best around (daily specials are awesome). I love coming during the week for discounted mimosas and bloodies. Come early on the weekends to avoid the wait. I prefer to sit at the bar where the staff give great service, and people watch.

Met my girls group for a beginning of summer brunch... The hostess was great and accommodating. While they dont seat you until your whole party is there, they keep your place in line. We all chose their signature Bloody Mary which was so delicious! Our meals were hot and tasty! Burritto and eggs benedict were yummy. I tried the smoked tomato scramble... While I love tomatoes and spinach in my eggs, I wasn't a fan of the smoke flavor. And, there are some many other delicious items to try! What a great way to start our summer!

This place can get pretty busy on the weekends, so expect to wait a bit. There is free parking in the parking lot. Always had a solid experience here. Servers are really nice and attentive. Food comes out super fast! Their pork sausage is homemade and so good! They are thick patties - highly recommend! Also love their potatoes. They come thinly sliced and some parts are crispy, which are my favorite. I got an iced chai and they have a spicy or honey version. I ordered honey and it was great, just a bit too much milk was added. The server was nice enough to add more chai for me. So if you want light milk, might be worth letting your server know

I made a reservation on…read moreOpenTable, and I ended up needing to increase the number of people to 8 a few days before the reservation. Accommodating our party was no problem. My mom, who usually scoffs at fancy restaurants and their fancy prices, absolutely loved her $10 ginger sunrise juice drink (I made her get it) and said that her sweet corn eggs benedict ($19) was one of the best things she's ever eaten. Our server Julie did an amazing job taking care of our party, some of whom arrived on time and some of whom didn't. The 20% large party gratuity was well-earned. I loved that the restaurant being connected to the hotel meant that the lobby was a beautiful space for those of us who got there early to gather and for us to all chat before we went our separate ways. Many of us were enthralled by the Moët & Chandon vending machine in the lobby, as well as the super cool "fire in a glass box" art piece. I had the $19 chicken philly skillet, which was tasty, but my family members who got the $29 steak and eggs knew what they were doing. My husband, who is incredibly picky about bacon, thought his $6 side of bacon with his $18 buttermilk pancakes was perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. Thinking about this family meal makes my heart smile. Thanks to the Corinne staff for making it delightful.

My boyfriend and I ate at Corrine for lunch Wednesday, September 30th while visiting Denver from…read moreCalifornia for a concert. Corrine was selected based on the reviews and menu. When we arrived, it was busy due to an education conference at the convention center. We were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes (as someone with hosting & serving experience, you should always quote a slightly longer wait than the actual time) so we put our name down and sat in the lobby expecting to have a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes, we checked our place on the waitlist and saw we were still 6th in line, after 45 minutes, 4th, after an hour, we noticed while longer had access to see the waitlist as the link had expired. I went up to the host stand to check about our table and she cleared one for us to sit at immediately. We noticed while it was busy, tables were not being bussed and turned over in a timely manner. At least 1/3 of the tables stayed dirty for our entire wait and meal. We wondered if we could have received a table earlier had we asked and if we ever would have been sat if we would not have asked. After waiting an hour, we were very hungry, so we put in our food and drink order right away. After we were sat, we noticed there was no longer a wait and other guests were being sat right away. After about 30 minutes, all of the tables who had been sat after us were also receiving their food before we did. After about 45 minutes, our server apologized and informed us that our "ticket had been lost" and that it would be out shortly. After an hour, we received our food. It had been 2 hours since putting our name on the waitlist. The food was okay, but definitely not worth a 2 hour wait. The server gave us a percentage off of our bill, but a table touch was never performed by a manager, even though we believed there were 2 different ones working since we were there long enough for a shift change. On top of the wait, we were in town for the one cold day of the week. We were sat at a table in front of the door and despite a sign on the door saying "please use revolving door" guests continuously used the regular door and left it open. My boyfriend and I both left our table multiple times to close the door to keep the breeze from coming in. Although there was plenty of staff around to see us do this, even walking through the open door and making eye contact with us when we closed the door, none of them made any point to ensure the door stayed closed. After about 5 trips closing the door, we decided to sit with our jackets on instead of bothering to get up. As we were paying, a large party was sat next to us with a server who had just started their shift (man, bald, taller, slender build) and one of the first things he mentioned to the table was the door (it was open). He asked if that was okay with them and they said yes. After sitting at our table for 1.5 hours, this was the first staff member to acknowledge the door. I have experience working at restaurants like Corrine and was expecting a good experience. However, it seemed like they were understaffed, under-trained, and lacked the attention to detail that creates a good guest experience.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

Was in a big group so split a bunch of appetizers - the hash brown, muffin, and strawberry rhubarb French toast. The star of the show was the French toast. The strawberry rhubarb spread was to die for, with icing on top - I would get this every time I came here and never switch it up. The hash brown was good too, but probably wasn't a great value for how much food you're getting. I got the Foxy burrito. This thing was huge, and was loaded. Lots of meat and potatoes in there, and wasn't too heavy on eggs, which is how I like my breakfast burritos. The sauce had a good kick to it that had spice, but wasn't too hot, and didn't linger. I thought it was excellent. Would definitely return and recommend for brunch and the area.

And I also hear so many people like it so we were so excited to finally get to sit down to try it over the last weekend. A tip is to get on the waitlist as soon as you can because of how fast the place gets crowded! Also don't expect a quiet dining experience because you will be surrounded by people inside and out. Once we were seated, I took one look at the menu to realize why it was so popular. Imagine everything you would expect to see from a diner, except twisted into something so unique! I never had an animal styled hash brown until that day. The server was also very friendly and attentive. So the food itself had really good flavor flavors, but I felt like everything was overly too chewy. So as fun as it was to eat, the hash brown covered in animal style sauce, it was nearly impossible to cut with a knife. I also thought pieces of my burrito were overly chewy, and it was almost better as leftovers once it softened up from the microwave. But it was very delicious and filled me up for the following morning. The fall style French toast was also unique and tasted just like the name so it was perfect for fall lovers like me! So overall, it was a fun experience, but we were just not used to the way everything was cooked. But the flavors were amazing!
