Its…read moreusually hard to get a breakfast buffet wrong but unfortunately this buffet experience was lackluster. They offered a variety of items: deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, chicken and waffles, beef and chorizo quesadillas, sausage, home fries, and French toast. They advertised fruit salad on the menu but they didn't have it out on the day we went. For starters, the food was lukewarm. Everything could have tasted so much better if it was warm. Even when they would refill the pans, everything was still not warm enough. The restaurant was not packed but they were slow to refill for the parties that were there. When we tried to go back for a second plate, most of the items weren't replenished and the line was getting longer. It was so bad that one group asked to pay for their drinks and leave because they weren't able to get any food. My option of each item: Deviled eggs- yolk mixture was on the drier side and bland Scrambled eggs- they were ok. Just needed to be warm Chicken and waffles- it was giving "chicken tender on eggo waffle" chicken was better than the bland waffle. It also didn't help that the syrup they had was cold and thick. It made the waffle (and French toast) colder and hard to swallow. French toast- the first batch was (with the exception of being cold) perfectly cooked and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The refill batches were so burnt and hard to chew and they didn't bother putting powdered sugar on them. Again, the cold syrup didn't help. Beef and chorizo quesadillas- they may have been a crowd favorite because getting a second serving was hard because they kept going quickly and took a while to replenish. They just needed to be warmer and served with sour cream. Home fries- great with the peppers and onions. Just need to be warmer. Sausage- my least favorite thing because it didn't taste like Sausage. It was very dry. Sadly, the food was a epic fail. This may be a great place for cocktails because the bartender mixed our margaritas perfectly. They had a Build Your Own Margarita menu with many different flavor options. I opted for the watermelon margarita with a Tajin rim. Delicious! My friend had a pineapple mango margarita with sugar rim and he was impressed also. The drinks earned them an extra star because otherwise, I think the food and the slow refilling of the buffet earned it 2 stars.

The decor is quite nice which was appreciated as the exterior was a bit questionable. I especially adored the marble accent walls in the dining room and the velvet seats. Really nice. The food was wonderful (crab falafel I should've ordered more to go omg so freakin good; then the Moroccan carrots were really tasty as well). All that said, the wings I make better at home these tasted like some Tabasco hot sauce and cheap honey sauce tossed together on slightly burnt crispy wings. I didn't like the flavors. The decor and vibes are pretty cool . The drinks were the star of the show but honestly I did not enjoy any of my food . Presentation wise , things were ok . Our server was amazing but the food , Ehh . Everything under seasoned and overcooked . I started with Crab Falafel , the crab was entirely too fishy and the falafel extremely dry . Next up , Crab risotto. Once again , I don't know what type of crab they offer but the smell and taste wasn't as if it was crab and it's super fishy fishy . Maybe this was an off night but I left disappointed.

Ive been here several years ago. I didnt remember much however it was not a negative experience…read more We made reservations prior without any issues. Its very quiet and reserved. Plenty seats and also patio seating. We chose inside seating. The waitress was very attentive and sweet. Unfortunately, I forgot her name. The menu is viewable from a QR code. We ordered, wood grilled octopus, wood grilled oysters, sampler raw oysters, charcutierie board for starters. Then scallops and steak for entrees. Sweet yeast rolls were placed on the table. And can I say they were mighty and the staple beginner. The spirited drinks were "She's one in a melon"(a very light drink that was almost like a spritzer), Tiger style (smoked D'usse), espresso martini with Bailey's and An Old Fashion. All were happily enjoyed with no complaints. The starters came out and of course they were great. The grilled octopus was paired with a sauce and veggies that complimented it well. It had the right charr that presented well. The grilled oysters were very tasty and well seasoned. The charcuterie board was well put together with a large variety of cheeses, spreads, jams, meats and crustini. The various raw oyster selection was great and without the grainy sandy feel. Meals came out and I indulged heavily into my scallops that was paired with risotto and carrots. The light well seasoned pan seared scallops were amazing. I left nothing behind as I normally do not finish my meals. The GRILLED HANGER STEAK FRITES seemed to be well prepared and without complaint. I however, did not indulge in that meal. I would definitely come again.

Perfect place for a date night but plan ahead, it's very small so a reservation is recommended. I got the mango sticky rice cocktail and WOW. So yum. Whoever thought of this is a genius. I also wanted to try their collab cocktail with Equitea and my goodness, so strong haha. It was good but far too strong (alcohol taste) for me as someone who's not much of a drinker. For food I kept it simple and got the wedge salad and wings. Both were absolutely delicious and I'm thinking about that salad with drool coming out of my mouth as I type this. 100% make your way over and sit at the bar, Gabe is an amazing bar tender!

You could probably not go wrong with any of the cocktails that they served, and I think that alone is worth trying this place. On Saturdays, it appears that they are open until 1AM for drinks. This is not really communicated outside of a circle on a menu, and I do not know this as a fact. Service is a little suspect. The hostess was able to seat two of us within 10 minutes, but then, no one checked on us for 15 minutes. There was a server working the tables around us, but they did not check in with us whatsoever. The hostess ended up doubling as the server, even though there was a server for the other tables. The hostess did not know the menu inside and out, and things had to be pointed out on the menu. Also, there was some misinformation. Some people were ordering food, while we were not allowed to order food. Why were some people able to get entrees, fries, and dessert after we were seated and had been waiting for 15 minutes? Someone got more fries after we were told we could not order food. We were also told that the reason why we were kept waiting was because there was something that happened outside of our view. Meanwhile, the server for the tables on either side of us kept coming out with water and taking more orders for those tables. That server even gave one patron a new drink since the one she ordered was not to her liking. This all happened while we waited, and we almost got up and left after 15 minutes. Two cocktails took one hour.

As a self proclaimed Fried Chicken connoisseur, I have to check all claims. First...let's talk about City of Baltimore and dining. Parking can be an issue. But not here! Can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was to see that they have their own parking lot with plenty of spaces. I went on a Friday night, after 8pm, and was expecting a wait. Nope - came in, was greeted & seated immediately. I'm loving this place already. After being seated, I was greater by my Server, Bella. For me, the Server can make, or break a dinning experience. Well...Bella was awesome. Since I was dining there for the 1st time, I had questions. Plenty of them. She didn't get impatient, and engaged with me, making me feel welcome and that I wasn't a bother. Bella is super dope. Now let's get to the food - I came for the Fried Chicken and it was good. Fried to crispy delicious status. Now, let me be clear - it's a Cornish Hen. However, it was still very well prepared. Fries are served with it and they were done well too. It's accompanied with Pickled Radish. I've never had this & didn't know what it was (thanks Bella for the pickled radish help!) and it was really good. I do not venture out & try new foods but this was something I'm glad I tried. I tried dessert to top off a good evening, going with their Banana Bread Pudding. I'd like for them to take another look into this dessert...I think it could be Better. Overall, an awesome City of Baltimore dining experience & I'd definitely go back.

The restaurant has a modern, inviting atmosphere that works well for a date night, dinner with friends, or even celebrating a special occasion. We started with the Honey Garlic Wings, which were perfectly crispy and coated in a flavorful sweet and savory glaze. The Crispy Fried Shrimp Balls were another standout--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired with a spicy mayo that complemented them really well. One of the biggest surprises of the night was the Hot 'N' Sweet Shrimp Pizza. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the combination of breaded shrimp, sweet chili, mozzarella, and scallions worked surprisingly well together. For our entrées, we ordered the Bulgogi, which was tender, well-seasoned, and served with rice, pickled radish, and white kimchi. We also tried the Motte Fried Chicken, a whole fried Cornish hen served with fries and pickled radish. The chicken was incredibly crispy while staying juicy inside, making it one of my favorite dishes of the meal. To finish, we shared the crème brûlée. It had a perfectly crisp caramelized sugar topping with a smooth, creamy custard underneath--the perfect way to end dinner. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Motte. The food was flavorful, portions were generous, and the menu offered a fun mix of familiar comfort foods with Korean-inspired flavors. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
