A classic Baltimore restaurant! Barracudas is exactly what it needs to be. No frills, fair prices, good drinks, good food, quick service, friendly staff. I've been here many times and it's always satisfying. There's indoor and outdoor seating, I've never had to wait but I bet it could be busy on nice nights to get an outside table so be patient if so. I came as group of four, we got an app, drinks, and dinner and we were in and out in about an hour. The crushes are a must get, and the fries are some of my fave in Baltimore - the super crispy kind. For dinner, my entire table got the fish tacos coincidentally lol! The batter is perfect and loved the tomato/salsa Fresca style topping. Just needed a litttttle salt imo. Lots of the other dishes at other tables looked great and all came out quick. We each spent about $35 before tip. There is a 4% service charge added to all checks. This place is a hidden gem! This place was close to our hotel so we decided to go there for dinner. The first impression is it's a locals bar/restaurant environment. The inside has signs and old pictures on the wall. There's a jukebox playing all different kinds of music. We sat at the bar. Both bartenders were amazing. Extremely friendly and provided prompt service. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and the wife ordered the fried green tomatoes with crabmeat. No joke, it was the best eggplant parmigiana I have ever tasted. The wife's meal was also outstanding. I spoke to the owner Bill and he said all of their ingredients are fresh from the garden. Well, you can definitely tell. We love this place so much that we stayed two more hours to have a few drinks. What an amazing time we had. read more

Barracudas is the best. Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. And killer orange crushes. And if you want something different than the orange crush, try the grapefruit crush or the lime crush. When I'm here with my son-in-law, we get them all lol. This time I tried the Porketta sandwich (yes that's how they spell it on the menu ). It was delicious. The crab cakes are very good. Maybe not the best in town, but pretty close to it. Lots of seafood dishes on the menu. And a decent beer selection although I always opt for the crushes. The drinks are great here. Short list of cocktail options including a variety of crushes. The chicken Parm I got was good but not sure it was worth the price. It's was over $40 after tax and tip for 1 drink and 1 entree. Our server was really nice and helpful. The outdoor seating was great with the great weather. They have a couple TV's outside and string lights for when it gets dark. Parking in the area can be a bit of a struggle since it'll be street but there's at least not a lot of restrictions to have parking passes or to pay. Came in on a Friday night and the first floor bar was totally packed! Thankfully they have some tables upstairs that we sat at and ate a delicious meal. We had the smash burger, buffalo wings, and Italian steak sandwich. Our wings took a little long and at first they brought us out the wrong order, but our waitress could not have been sweeter and was extremely accommodating. Looking forward to coming back! read more

Came into Barracudas Sunday around 5. My two friends and I walked in and several staff members passed us and looked before we were eventually greeted. We sat outside and was helped by Jackie and another kind server. I know she was a bit newer to the team, but her service was great and I hate that I can't remember her name. I ordered the Coastal and it was so refreshing. It wasn't sweet which I loved. I also ordered the Greek Salad to eat. The shrimp were a great size and the dressing was delicious. Unfortunately, I was the only person who enjoyed my meal. The steak tacos were super dry and flavorless. The burger was completely dripping in sauce. The fries were great. So we came her for date night. And they have shrimp tacos however it has spicy stuff that I can't have. The cook was willing to make me shrimp to go in a salad but not take those same shrimp to add to a tortilla so I could have shrimp tacos. I was told that the mixture for shrimp tacos was already made . I can't eat spicy . So I asked could he just make shrimp and put them on a tortilla just as he would if I got a salad and added shrimp to it. Recently went here because saw they had strawberry crushes on Instagram and knew I had to try it! Going to be honest went for the drink but what I was reallyyyyy surprised by was their blackened shrimp salad. I got it with no olives and feta on the side and it was perfect! It was flavorful and tasted so fresh. I think it's my favorite salad in the city right now! Also took my pup and got her a dog bowl that had chicken and veggies and she approved too! Cale here as i was staying in the area and needed a bite to eat. It was a nice quiet afternoon place to hang it looked like with people sitting outside with their dogs. The waitstaff was friendly and inviting. Horse racing and espn were on tvs. Got a plate of old bay wings and porketta roll. The wings were phenomenal - good and meaty and cooked just right and when paired with their blue cheese just perfect. The porketta roll was an interesting mix of baconey taste with lbroccolini and cheese. It was good but paired with blue cheese it was great. The chips were good to (as a blue cheese delivery mechanism). Get as much blue cheese as you can is what I'm saying. They do it great. Only thing i didn't like was they only had pepsi products. 8/16/24 we went to barracudas to have a drink after a nice brunch We spent about 2 hr there & over $200. I wasn't drinking anything except water! We had a good time, Good drinks until the end. I got up from my bar stool to stretch my legs to walk around looking at the wall decor. I noticed a cardboard photo, I used my hand to read the saying while touching the image. Then as I finished my friend did the exact same thing. Out of nowhere a white male approached us saying he was Billy , the owner of the bar & he seemed impaired and under the influence. He said "don't touch that ." We had no idea if he is the legal owner or not as the way he approached was very aggressive. Me And my friend had no idea why he came over or what he was complaining about . He accused my friend of "being childish and touching things" also kept saying " don't want you to touch it" He was only accusing & aggressive toward my friend . Sadly my friend & I are different ethnicity and this definitely seems like profiling & uncalled entitled white male behavior towards women and especially a woman of color. This was the most immature, pathetic, lack of respect and act of racism that I have not ever seen in front of me for a long time, so sad... Parking is a challenge, if you aren't local I suggest Uber. Spent forever circling the neighborhood trying to get a street parking spot, finally got one and got to the restaurant at 9:29, we were starving and not much is open after 10 on a Tuesday night. So, just to be sure we even called to confirm they were open and we asked where to park. I was practically skipping with joy down the street to the restaurant, all the food items look great on Yelp. SADLY As soon as we walked up a gentleman told us the kitchen was CLOSED!!!! I even told the man, it is only 9:29, but he just waved us off- What the heck????? Very disappointed. Normally this place is awesome. Food is always great. We went today for lunch and got surf and turf nachos and would not recommend. They weren't worth $21. The "surf" was like deli meat and you had to look really hard to find a piece...not much shrimp or crab either. In the past, the shrimp were visible and the surf was pieces of steak. Nothing like before or past photos. Very disappointing.. it turned us off and we decided not to get anything else. read more

I came here on a chilly Sunday after my team had just been blessed with a victory at our volleyball tournament. I wanted something warm and ordered the chicken pot pie. When I tell you, it was scrumptious, I mean it. I could not recommend this chicken pot pie enough. This chicken pot pie took me back to my moms chicken pot pie as a kid and I think everyone needs to experience that. Will be back. read more

This is one of my favorite LP places! I visited with a friend for happy hour where we had our choice of outdoor tables and all of the servers were wearing face masks. Both my friend and I got an orange crush ( $5 how could you not) and ordered the Sweet Heat Pizza. Both the drinks and pizza were amazing. The crushes packed a punch, not too tart and not overly drenched in alcohol, and the pizza was easily splitable and the sweet hot peppers stole the show! I honestly wish I could've taken one to go because it was honestly that good. The curst was toasted and not too thick and had such a great crunch when you bit into it. Barracudas feels like the type of local bar you aren't supposed to even right a review for -- you just *know* -- but I will anyways. Hands down this is our favorite spot in locust point and our go-to bar in general. It helps that we live a 5 minute walk away and can roll out after a few crushes (freshly-squeezed oranges, good luck finding anything better) without consequences. The ambiance is overall great and very relaxed, and the staff always stands out -- quick, responsive, and clearly know half their customers. Bar service is always especially quick. It's always a good spot to watch a game, which is usually when we find ourselves there. You'd think all that might mean just a good bar with good drinks, but what sets it apart from others is that the food is genuinely excellent. We've yet to see a miss on their menu, from the wings, nachos, salads, sandwiches, pasta, entrees -- seriously everything has been good. So you really get the full package -- you could come here just for food and be very satisfied! It's an awesome story that this local treasure survived a fire and came back strong. Really happy to see it thriving and can't wait to go back plenty of times. read more

I've lived in Baltimore for several years but haven't explored much in the Locust Point neighborhood. My husband and I tried Barracuda's for the first time last night & we can't wait to add Barracuda's as a regular spot in our rotation! The outdoor space where we ate had great ambiance- outdoor TVs, twinkly lights etc. & our service was great and attentive. But the food- WOW. We started with the buffalo wings. The wings were crispy with an even flats to drums ratio (important.) The buffalo sauce was really good- touch of spicy and lathered on the right amount. We got the side of ranch which was clearly homemade and incredible. I got the jerk chicken pasta for my meal and this may be my favorite entree in all of Baltimore! It is a HUGE portion- you get three well-seasoned, grilled chicken breasts and at least a pound of pasta with fresh vegetables and a delicious slightly spicy Cajun sauce. GREAT VALUE! I came to Barracudas on a Wednesday night to try their nachos. As I read the menu, I found it hard to believe that the nachos would come with shrimp, steak, AND crab for only $15. But when the dish came out, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was FULLY LOADED (see photo)! It came with generous servings of every meat! One order of nachos was clearly enough for two people. The nachos ended up feeding me and my girlfriend for two nights, and it actually tasted just as good the second night as it did the first. I've been going here for many years an I live nowhere near this place. From the outside a local bar is it's disguise. But don't kid yourself. Inside you will find people who care about what they put on your plate and excellent wait staff. When is the last time you had a tomato slice on a perfectly made sandwich that actually had taste or French fries that tasted like they were fresh, not frozen ? Their specials are seasonal, their regular menu has many versions of what you think you would find, but made with quality ingredients and unusual care and attention to detail. Believe it or not even the basic Buffalo wings stood out with large pieces (not the tiny excuse for wings you think you would see) and homemade....yes homemade delicious blue cheese dressing. The worst thing I can say about this place is no draft beer and I want it to be in my neighborhood. It is a gem and you should see for yourself. read more

We were looking forward to going here and trying the food. We walked in at 6:30pm on a week night asking for a table. The bar was empty and we noticed some of the tables were full but I would not say they looked busy. I asked a server for a table for two. She did not greet us welcome us. Her reply was "You will not be able to even put in any order for any food for at least a half an hour." How rude and unprofessional. Basically she was telling us to get out. A decent server would have greeted us and explained some what was going on. Seems like they had 6-7 top table seated in the bar area but you can't make a cup of soup for someone because of one table? You can't even act courteous or polite? Seems like the manager wasn't there or somebody responsible in charge. They could have seated us gotten some menu and water and told us the kitchen might be a little backed up, but they basically sho'd us away. We went to MaGerks's and were eating soon after. It's a shame because Barracuda's looks like a nice place, but letting rude inexperienced high school kids running the front of the house is a bad look. read more
