I'd give this place a 10/10 every time. During my vacation, I visited several times, and I believe the owner was always there. After my first visit, he recognized me and warmly asked, "Are you having the same thing you had yesterday?" That personal touch made me feel truly welcomed. The food and service were consistently excellent, and the friendly atmosphere made every visit enjoyable. I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in the area. read more

As far as neighborhood bars go, this Starting Line is one of my favorites. Great location for any Ravens or Orioles games- this spot has everything you are looking for. Huge selection of alcohol, surprisingly good food choices. Lots of TVs, games and charm as well. Would recommend! read more

The Starting Lineup is tucked away on Penn St in Ridgley's Delight two blocks from Camden Yards and about a mile from M&T Bank. It's the quintessential neighborhood bar! It's cozy with plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game during baseball or football season. There is a full menu and the drinks selection is massive and JR, the bartender, is awesome at recommending a drink based on you're feeling that day. I've had mozzarella sticks, pizza, and the apps sampler and the food is perfect to snack on while you're drinking and watching a game. I've been here several times and I plan to visit a lot during the season. read more

Great cozy neighborhood bar. I came with 6 coworkers after work and the O's game was happening at the time so the bar was pretty empty and had a big table to accommodate us all. There's lots of TVs all around and board games on the wall. They have a huge selection of drinks available - I got the coastal cocktails vodka orange crush and it tasted great despite being 7.5% (coming from someone who doesn't love the taste of alcohol). read more

A hidden gem in the Ridgley's Delight area of Baltimore, just minutes away on foot from Camden Yards. If you're like me - in your 30's or early 40's, and you've "been there, done that" with the masses and amateur crowds of Pickles and Section 771, then this bar might be for you. A bit off the beaten path on Penn Street in a small corner location that used to be The Corner Wine Bistro, this bar offers up an unprecedented beer selection with over 300 beers, ciders and seltzers to choose from. They have a wide array of soft drinks and non alcoholic choices if you're with kids or just want to enjoy some food. The food is excellent. You probably wouldn't expect it from a rather unassuming location, but the owner JR puts great pride into the food. I'd recommend the wings in any flavor (Honey old bay and Bourbon were my favorites. Plump, juicy, always fresh. Also, don't sleep on the pizzas. Top notch ingredients make for a great bar pie. This is one of my new favorite pre and post game spots in Baltimore. read more

Great little bar close to Camden Yards. Owner/Bartender gave us tour of great sports memorabilia he has displayed. Old Bay Chicken wings were fantastic. Huge selection of canned beer, good prices, & hard working owner that you can tell takes a lot of well deserved pride in his establishment. Top notch neighborhood bar. Incredible selection of beers (locals, hard to finds, and mainstream stuff), seltzers, and canned cocktails. The pizzas and wings are super popular - also lots of good shareable appetizer items like onion rings, jalapeño poppers, pretzel sticks, etc. Sports are always on, plus trivia and games to play too. I offended someone by asking them to not use the R word. I am an autisic adult and using that word in the pejorative is just wrong the owner disagreed and yelled at me, speaking over me and also being offended that I asked someone to not be ableist. I watched the owner completely gut the place and I know he wants to make this a neighborhood bar, but everytime I went in, he was complaining or making fun of the neighbors, and deep in the neighborhood drama. For all these reasons, I don't feel comfortable there and if you are like me, you probably won't either. read more

This bar has brought so much life to our neighborhood. JR is an awesome owner and clearly takes pride and passion in running this bar.
