I found this restaurant listed under, The 10 Best Restaurants in Baltimore. I beg to differ. Upon arrival we were seated and our waited promptly took our drink orders. We ordered starters and bread. The Pork Belly was cold and had to be sent back. We ordered two orders of biscuits and the waiter only bought one. Of course we made him aware and he corrected the issue quickly. After placing our orders for the main course. The waiter bought out Steak for my husband, Shrimp and Grits for my friend and two Cod fish dishes. I ordered the Cod but my brother had ordered Salmon. The waiter quickly took it back and shortly after the Salmon was bought out. You could clearly see the sear was rather dark but not burnt so my brother started his Salmon and after a couple of bites he noticed the Salmon wasn't cooked completely. He notified the waitress and she apologized but now my brother was being questioned as to whether or not he understood that the Salmon was cooked medium rare. We advised them that he didn't order his Salmon that way and never have we been to restaurant that sold medium rare Salmon. My brother ordered the Steak to replace the Salmon and the waitress bought it out to ask if he understood that the Steak would have some pinkness. Once again the issue was explained, to yet the third waiter. Whom immediately defended the fact that she was just told what to ask and to make sure the Steak was fine per the Chef. I waited for my brother to test the Steak and then ordered coffee. Our original waiter stayed in hiding so after about 10 minutes I asked the waitress about the coffee and she replied, the water needs to get hot. Then she goes in the back and comes out with the coffee. I add sugar to my cup and pour the luke warm coffee into the cup. Now the coffee was sent back. Our original waiter bought out hot coffee and we asked for our bill. The manager never came to the table nor did we ask for the manager. Because I'm sure the manager was well aware of the issues. We paid our $220 bill and added an 18% tip. The Tilted Row is beautiful, classy establishment with some staffing issues they need to handle and the limited menu leaves allot to be desired. I'm positive I won't be giving them a second chance to disappoint. A definite NO for us. read more

Incredible food, fantastic atmosphere and friendly service. I came on a whim on Sunday and they weren't packed, seated immediately. Coffee is the smoothest I've ever had, their biscuits are buttery and delicious, and the manchego and potato croquettes are PHENOMENAL! I can't recommend this place enough for brunch. Come hungry, leave happy! read more

This place is an amazing addition to the neighborhood in the last few years. They get the food absolutely right every time and the atmosphere is elegant. Looking forward to many more visits here, and love their courage planting a flag in an up-and-coming corner of the neighborhood :-) read more

Enjoyed this place immensely. It seemed fairly new and I think it will click well with the neighborhood. My wife & I had a Sunday afternoon show so we stopped for brunch. Good food & good atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit again. read more

We had a great meal from beginning to end. Food was spot on and so was the service. We're coming back to try the rest of the menu.

My kids recommend this place to me. They raved about the French toast, we drove all the way from Germantown and we were somewhat disappointed. Okay this is the good and the bad. The good , our waiter so nice an attentive. I ordered the rib eye med rare. It came fully cooked, I sent it back.it took FOREVER to get my steak our meal was done, but was okay, they took 50% of the steak off. BUT the steak had NO flavor salt pepper or anything. The biscuit with pimento cheese spread was very good. The duck fried fries with lamb ragu was good, deviled eggs delicious. Although I was disappointed I plan to make the drive for a dinner meal. read more

My new favorite restaurant! The food is AMAZING! Drinks are AMAZING! Customer Service is AMAZING!! What more can you ask for from a restaurant and I've never had to wait to be served nor a long wait time for my food to come out. Seamless service! I also am in love with the design in this restaurant(that's actually what drew me in). Perfect interior designer! Kudos to the designer, owner and whole staff here! read more

Fabulous food, service and location. Do yourself a favor and stop in, you won't be disappointed!!

Second time we have had dinner at this new neighborhood gem and we are in love!!! Great ambience, amazing service, and delicious food and drinks. The freshly baked focaccia with the spicy olive oil is a must. The pork chop is juicy, tender, and super flavorful. The whole Branzino was super fresh and flaky. The bread pudding served warm and the strawberry shortcake were the perfect ending to our meal. Definitely a new favorite and regular spot for us. Highly recommend!!! read more

Absolutely good ! The food the atmosphere the drinks the bartenders are amazing ! The steak omg i can think about it as i type just amazing !! read more

Great food. Had the duck fried rice and it was well seasoned and the duck was crisp. Fried rice had good flavor and was balanced with the freshness of the pickled vegetables. Biscuits are a good starter and are filling. The burger is also good and has a nice chat flavor. Good for a nice dinner in a less formal environment. read more

We've been twice, both with other couples. The first time I had an excellent roasted chicken, which has been taken off the menu. The second time I had the lamb chops, which were good. The service is excellent and so is their drink selection, according to our groups. (I don't drink.) My wife, who's a vegetarian, wasn't thrilled with her choices. I would also recommend their biscuits, which are outstanding. The space is lovely and lively, and as neighborhood residents, we hope they're there for a very long time. read more

A new jewel in the city! This chef is on point and all heart, every entree was impressive. Pork chop-out of this world!

This was our second time here and it was great again. Really good food and friendly service. I tried the Trout and it was awesome. Super crispy skin and the carrots were great. Thanks for a great meal. read more

I love the ambience of this place. Their drink menu is phenomenal, especially their whiskeys, wines and bourbons. The burger and duck fat fries accompanied by pimiento cheese, homemade ketchup and homemade pickles was outstanding. It was perfectly cooked. Sitting at the bar overlooking the kitchen was a pleasure. The Bloody Mary was spicy and perfect. Everything they prepared, cooked and plated was gorgeous. I highly recommend The Tilted Row! Can't wait to return. read more

Just got take away here and it was a delicious treat! For me the grilled salmon was perfect, and the rocket was plentiful and with the sauce lightly over everything it really blended the tastes together, and also the mashed potatoes were really good. The shrimp toast was awesome except I would say that dish might be better in-house than delivered because it got a little soggy on the way home. It was still great tho! I chowed down! The eggplant was really good and so much of it! We felt so good and full after dinner last night that I felt we needed to get a review out quick to help good food makers stay in business. The staff was incredibly helpful and everything come out on time. I can't wait to order again and to eat/drink there when everything is back to normal. read more

I love the layout of this restaurant and enjoyed the views of the chefs doing the actual cooking in an open-faced kitchen. I stopped by for a happy hour and snack because I was in the area and waiting for traffic to die down. The crab deviled eggs were tasty and the duck fat fries were excellent. I'll definitely keep this spot in mind whenever I'm around. Not bad for a spot that's only 2 months old! read more

Craveable food! Take advantage of happy hour bites so you can try multiple plates. Can't even pick a favorite dish---from lamb sliders of the day, corn nuggets, croquettes and roasted carrots to the Blue Plate Special short ribs and brined pork chop---talk about things that make you go MMMMMM. And the peach cake? Better than I remember Silber's bakery ever creating it. Ask for Jordy---lovely server who truly enjoys sharing The Tilted Row with diners. In fact, everyone there seemed to be vested in creating a memorable visit for all. Looking forward to my visit. read more

The food and drink at the Tilted Row are delicious, and well worth a trip to Bolton Hill. Even better, pricing is surprisingly affordable for food of this calibre. Cuisine at the Tilted Row is inventive and thoughtfully prepared. The addictive focaccia is well worth every carb, and the octopus small plate is succulent, the char of the octopus contrasting beautifully with briny olives and a fiery harissa oil. Meats are cooked perfectly to order. If you like lamb, don't miss the juicy lamb ribs. The steak was indeed rare, as ordered, and intensely flavorful. The whiskey list is comprehensive, and the wine list is enticing. An array of creative cocktails is on offer. Service is friendly and attentive, and the setting is pleasing. The lighting is particularly inviting as the evening dark descends, creating an intimate atmosphere. read more

I have an endless amount of great things that i can say about this establishment. First I'll start with the service. All the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. They gave very good advice of what to try. They were also informative of their off menu items as well. The ambiance of the place was very relaxing and modern. Clean clean clean. I received new utensils for every course without having to ask for it. The waiter was very attentive. Now into the food. Honestly anything i say will be an understatement of how amazing the food was. My mouth was literally watering it was so good. I had to meet the chef because i was left speechless. Chef Amie was very kind and informative on her dishes and convinced me to try their Old Bay Caramel Bread Pudding. I told her i was nervous about it because in my mind none of that should be together. Needless to say, she proofed me wrong hands down. This place is truly a gem and i look forward to returning sooner rather than later. read more

Top notch service all the way around! They must have received their customer service training from the Chikfila corporation. Very pricey but definitely a great atmosphere! read more

Went here yesterday for Restaurant Week. WOW! Excellent service and ambiance, a even better food. Will be coming back again soon!

Every experience has been WONDERFUL thus far! I'm so excited the Tilted Row is right here in Bolton Hill. The staff is super friendly and they create a warm atmosphere. I came in for brunch on Sunday wearing a shabby sweatshirt and was prepared to be turned away at the door. However, no such thing happened. The crab cake Benedict was superb + the spicy Bloody Mary was a good choice. Thank you Tilted Row. read more

My wife and three sons went to the Tilted Row for her birthday. Frankly we had a wonderful time - the food was wonderful, the bar selections were excellent, the service was great, and the decor perfect for a corner venue in town. We did not find anything on the menu that we did not like -- however the standouts for me included the appetizers : corn fritters, the olive tapenade, and the moorish eggplant; the small plates : glazed carrots and Summers End [a bowl of mixed fall veggies] and for mains : the sorghum brined pork chop and fig-glazed salmon. Mix this with great company, lots of well-told stories, and a great bar selection and the evening turned out wonderfully. Highly recommended. read more

I got the crab cake and succotash and it was divine! My coworker got the Salmon and potatoes and loved it. The biscuits with pimento cheese spread are divine and the crab deviled eggs were do delicious! We ended the meal with the bourbon vanilla ice cream with scotch sauce and strawberry shortcake and I think I have been having dreams about those every night, cant wait to go back! read more

A great addition to the neighborhood, the Tilted Row had inventive, fresh food with great wine pairings and an extensive whiskey menu. Dishes that are very dependent on precise cooking (octopus, pork chop) were done perfectly. The pork chop was probably the best one I've ever had, sincerely. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Truly a hidden gem! Three of us shared almost everything from the appetizer section including scallion croquettes, beet salad, biscuits, leek soup, and mac&cheese. Everything was delicious. The beer and wine selections are solid. Service was also top notch. Will definitely return! read more

Whatever you do, don't get the fried chicken. I've had a decent amount of fried chicken in my life, and this is the first fried chicken I've ever had that has actually made me upset. I've had a yelp account for years and this is the first time I've had something so bad I've been compelled to write about it. If you want to spend $20 for a couple pieces of flavorless, dry, strangely-breaded chicken, sour tasting coleslaw, and the hardest biscuit you've ever eaten, then this is the place for you. read more

As Bolton Hill residents we were waiting this restaurant to open last one year. We stopped over few times if they opened. Finally on Monday June 10 they opened. We enjoyed a dinner with wine. Since my husband just started his special diet he couldn't drink wine. Meal was fantastic. Sam the general manager is sweet. They even capped my left over wine in bottles to sit their shelves. So when I return to restaurant I can be able to finish up my wine. My husband can select many meals from this restaurant for his diet. Food was delicious. I already sent photos of restaurant to family and friends. We will gather here for a small celebrations. read more

Came in with friends a few days after they opened in June. The restaurant was tough to find (for some reason Google Maps sent us to the retirement community around the corner), but a quick phone call to the friendly host got us back on track in plenty of time for a lovely dinner. We had a wonderful server who was quick to make recommendations and assist with any problems (e.g. she VERY quickly rushed back to retrieve a non-alcoholic cocktail that had inadvertently been served with alcohol). Since the restaurant is new and we wanted to try as much from the menu as possible, we shared a variety of items -- what felt like the entire men -- and didn't find anything we didn't enjoy. The only thing we didn't try was dessert, but after eyeing the delicious offerings at a nearby table , I know I'll be back soon to try that too. All in all, an impressive showing for a brand new restaurant, and I can't wait to see how they continue to grow. read more

This superb new (4 months old) place in Bolton Hill has it all: terrific, creative, healthy food; beautiful interior design; prompt, caring service; and a good price point given the quality of the food. The three of us ate at the attractive, well-lighted bar and started with drinks: the cocktail "bee's knees" (grilled peach garnish, salted peach liqueur, gin & honey)-gruesome name but tasted delish & a portion of the profits is donated to bee preservation/conservation efforts. We also had wonderful French press coffee & herb tea to start the meal. We sampled the salmon basted with figs, grilled octopus, summer salad, swordfish and gingered string beans. All items were perfectly cooked & beautifully presented. We were too stuffed to do dessert, but we'll do that next time. And brunch on a Fall weekend! read more

Absolutely amazing!!!! I don't write reviews often, but everyone needs to know about The Tilted Row. Everything we ordered was incredible and the service was stellar - truly impressive! We will definitely be back! I highly recommend anyone looking for a wonderful meal in a contemporary and warm setting stop by!! read more

Great atmosphere, extremely clean, excellent food, and a extensive selection of whisky.

Great apps and pork chop dinner. Appreciate the investment in great city neighborhood. Will be back!

Trying out the Tilted Row during their 'soft opening' presented us with a very good impression. Located in the ground level of a newly developed apartment building, it's a smallish, posh, fine dining place. It has an extensive small batch liquor selection, priced by the ounce. Everything we tried was very good. The pork chop was tender, juicy and flavors balanced with a touch of cherry. Crab cakes (2) were good MD crab cakes, not over spiced, good lump/backfin with not so much filler. They will be having a 'blue plate' special daily. The fresh ingredients, preparation and quality of the food put prices on the upper end. It is pricey for Baltimore, more inline with DC. Budget $40-60 per person inclusive of a drink. The service was attentive yet not intrusive. Great to have a new place within walking distance. Look forward to trying out other menu items. 5 Stars for now...let's see whether they can keep it up. read more

The Titled Row is like a hidden gem. It's in a very residential neighborhood and much needed in the area. I Went here during restaurant week and every dish I had was amazing from the corn and crab soup, steak and strawberry biscuit desert and drinks. The food was well prepared and presented beautifully. The service was excellent as well. Will definitely be back. read more

Been waiting for this place to open up since I live in the neighborhood, and it's safe to say that I'm a regular now. Came here first for Father's Day and since have been back twice for drinks, and once for brunch. I highly recommend both of the lamb dishes and the salmon for dinner. Specialty cocktails are good and if you are a whisky connoisseur like me, you'll appreciate the extensive spirits list. If you do go, tell Sam that Adam sent you. read more

Best brunch in Baltimore from the food, to the atmosphere and service. They have a great short rib hash, the Benedict is great. Leave room for a cinnamon roll. Thanks to Sam for the hospitality. read more
