FOOD- Taziki was so good. Super light and the pita bread was moist and well seasoned! AMBIANCE- 5/5 I loved it. It was great! We sat at the bar and ordered $5 Sangria! SERVICE- 4/5. Would definitely come back here!

I love tapas and a Mediterranean meal and MAN did OctoBar nail this place. With such an extensive menu (both drinks and food) I bet everyone is just as happy to find several mouth watering options here. The bar upfront is a little intimate but the restaurant then opens up in the back (and upstairs) for more space. Favorite dish: the mussels entree with the creamy lemon sauce. Some of the best mussels I've had. Avoid: the escargots appetizer. They say there's escargots in there but all we are/saw were mushrooms... Still a great night with delectable food and friendly, attentive service!!

I almost gave it 3 stars but the food was yummy and the ambiance is nice. I never had a coconut margarita so that was delicious. Service was a bit slow and the food wasn't hot but I was hungry. I'm not eager to go back but definitely would recommend.

Been a little while since I was last here, but my wife and I just stopped in the best happy hour. Spicy margarita was on point, and the food was good do. Need to start coming here more often.

Service was slow but still great! I love their ravioli, it has amazing flavor. I also ordered the paps bravas but unfortunately the bigger chunks were undercooked. Not a biggie, I come for the real star of the place which is the margaritas.

Where We Bout To Eat At @octobarbalt Baltimore, MD This isn't your regular neighborhood bar! They are serving some amazing food and drinks, using fresh ingredients, that are all made in house. The menu is full of various Mediterranean style meals and crafted cocktails. You can sit in the bar area with friends, grab a table in the back with family, or just enjoy a moment to yourself beside the fresh flowers at each table outside. Customer service is amazing and the vibe is fantastic! the service was phenomenal. The space was beautiful; there was an upstairs and downstairs space. The vibe was fun. The food to me was just ok. I preferred the brussel sprouts and they were cooked well and had a decent flavor. I also othered the lamb meatballs and the meatballs were lacking in seasoning and the sauce tasted a little like metal. It was definitely a more than decent portion size for the price. It heated up better the next day and tasted considerably better with a little more flavor added to it. I think this place has a lot of potential if some small tweaks are made.

So so close to 5 stars! Almost perfect but just biffed it at the end. This was my first time to Octobar, came with my husband and another couple on a Wednesday. Happy hour is until 7 with lots of options on the HH menu. This would be a great first date spot! All of our food (some from the regular menu) was great as was the red sangria (maybe a tad too sweet- but I loved the fruit in it!). Octobar has both small tapas plates and big entrees. I loved the big menu which was great for sharing with friends. Some standout plates were the chorizo sliders, the mussels, and the warm olives. Some of the dishes could come with a few more pieces of bread. During the meal, service was great but when it came time to pay - our server was nowhere to be found! It took over 25 minutes to pay our bill, totally unacceptable. At one point he asked if we wanted boxes... surely that is a sign we are wrapping up right? Then NOTHING. He never came back. He took another table's order right next to us and then I just kept walking. It was bizarre. Other than the strange close out experience, we had a great time, food was great and I thought prices were reasonable with or without happy hour. I'd go back!!

We came here for a girl's night happy hour after Googling great happy hour menus in the area - and this one was killer! The service was amazing from the moment we walked in, the bartender, bar back, and owner stopped by frequently to check on us and make sure we were taken care of. The best thing about Octobar and the one I've been screaming from the rooftops is a make your own margarita bar! They offer 10-15 flavors and you can mix and match as many as you like. We tested a few combos and we loved cucumber jalapeño! Each drink comes with a fresh garnish, as well. I had the pan con tomate, the meatballs, and the papas bravas and they were perfect. My friend had the chicken kebab with couscous, the grilled street corn, and the basil pesto tortellini and really enjoyed them. Her fave was the kebab and couscous and the tortellini. We honestly ordered too much, I think four small plates total would have been plenty! We had a great time, enjoyed our food and drinks, and will be back again!

Quaint Federal hill spot for small plates and cocktails. Go for happy hour! (4pm -7pm) great deals. The small portions let you try lots of things you might not usually order. The ambience was dark, vibey, and romantic. Service was good too. Overall: I found this restaurant really good but not great. Liked the drinks better than the food.

I'd been eyeing the spot ever since it opened and couldn't wait to try it out. A friend and I popped in for brunch one more afternoon this summer. We got parking pretty easily and were seated right away at a table near the bar. The bartender was also our server and had great energy. She was a joy. We got the sangria she suggested which was delicious. The food, however; was a bit disappointing. It was Restaurant Week so we got a mixture of those offerings and food from the regular menu. We got the mussels, the dates, the steak and eggs, and a pork chop dish. My friend liked the dates but we didn't care for much else. Perhaps brunch wasn't what I should've tried first. Maybe I'll try it again for dinner because I really want to like this place.

    The worlds best Espresso Martini

This was my first time dining at OctoBar. I made a reservation online for a Friday and it was insanely easy. Upon arrival I noticed there was cozy outdoor seating with music playing (fantastic playlist by the way!) and it feel extremely welcoming. The front door was propped open and it really made you feel like you were connected to the community and those outside walking by but still in a cozy and chill environment inside. It's dimly lit with screens showing the local games and the music isn't too loud. Overall the vibes were great. I love espresso martini's so I had to try their "world famous" one, and it did not disappoint. Out of all of the places in Baltimore I have been yet-- OctoBar takes the cake when it comes to a good espresso martini. The flavor, the body, the sweetness was perfect and they didn't forget the 3 coffee beans! I ordered the warm olives, the Tzatziki, Hummus, Feta Jalapeno with Pita Bread shareable and the lamb with orzo and feta in a spicy red sauce. It was all fantastic. I will absolutely be back.

Located on the top level of Crossbar Biergarten, The Wurst is a true hidden gem. You would never know it was there unless someone told you. The entrance is literally a walk-in freezer door just to the left of the stairs on the second floor, which adds to the fun speakeasy feel. We stopped in for pregame drinks before a nearby Yelp Elite event, and it did not disappoint. We were the only ones in the bar, and our bartender was fantastic, quick, friendly, and clearly knew his craft. I ordered a Paper Plane, a whiskey based cocktail with Aperol, lemon, and Amaro Nonino. It was perfectly balanced and the ideal drink to have after work. My fiancée ordered the Pornstar Martini, which she became very familiar with during a recent trip to Paris. The Wurst's version was a bit unorthodox since they serve the champagne on the side instead of as a floater on top. Not a negative, just different, and more of a deconstructed approach that some might treat like a chaser. Overall, The Wurst is a really cool concept bar that feels unlike anything else in Federal Hill. Between the hidden entrance, relaxed atmosphere, and quality drinks, it is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy creative cocktails and a good story to go with them.

I have never been splashed in the face during the shaking of a drink that was being made by the bartender. The bartender was of a different race and seemed annoyed by my presence from the jump. I had been splashed in the face twice until a customer of his race came and sat next to me. I did pay attention to his behavior while the woman was seated next to me and his drink mixing wasn't as aggressive. I had to go to the bathroom during my visit and told him I would pay before going to the bathroom so he wouldn't make any assumptions about me. I asked him to keep my drink behind the bar because the woman was still seated next to me. I came back and the woman eventually left. I was still finishing my drink and I was splashed 2 additional times. The last time I made him aware of what he was doing. His apology was disingenuous and passive aggressive. I left after this even though I had intentions on ordering desert and listening to the musicians that were about to get started. I did inform the manager about my experience prior to leaving. I'm leaving the review bc the experience still bothers me. If they have cameras at the bar I'm sure my reaction to the splashing can be observed.
