Chicken kabab
Kaylee T.

Came here during Baltimore restaurant week and the food was amazing! The server we had was so kind and made the experience even more enjoyable.

Venison meatballs

This a brunch review - and it was quite good! The unlimited mimosas bar includes a ton of flavor options and we explored a ton of them! I ordered the eggs Benedict for breakfast and the hollandaise sauce was a little weird because it was kinda too solid/ not very saucy but I did ask for more and that was a little better! Overall flavor amazing.

Tortellini

Went to Octobar with a few friends for drinks and a bite to eat Saturday night. The espresso martini's were very good and they have a great margarita bar. It is a tapa based menu so we had the fries, tortellini, chicken piccata, and the trio dip (tzatziki, hummus, and jalapeño feta dip). The food was pretty good and paired well with the drinks. The service was pretty slow, but the bartender was the server for the whole first floor so I can't complain too much. Cute drink spot with friends!

We recently hosted an office gathering of about 15 people at Octobar, and everything was outstanding from start to finish. The food was exceptional. Our favorites included the salad, roasted carrots, tuna steak, chicken kebabs, and tacos. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The desserts were equally impressive, plated beautifully and absolutely delicious. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. They made sure everyone was taken care of and helped create a wonderful dining experience for our team. If you're looking for great tapas, creative dishes, excellent cocktails, and attentive service, Octobar is definitely worth a visit. We look forward to coming back!

Taziki

FOOD- Taziki was so good. Super light and the pita bread was moist and well seasoned! AMBIANCE- 5/5 I loved it. It was great! We sat at the bar and ordered $5 Sangria! SERVICE- 4/5. Would definitely come back here!

I love tapas and a Mediterranean meal and MAN did OctoBar nail this place. With such an extensive menu (both drinks and food) I bet everyone is just as happy to find several mouth watering options here. The bar upfront is a little intimate but the restaurant then opens up in the back (and upstairs) for more space. Favorite dish: the mussels entree with the creamy lemon sauce. Some of the best mussels I've had. Avoid: the escargots appetizer. They say there's escargots in there but all we are/saw were mushrooms... Still a great night with delectable food and friendly, attentive service!!

Coconut margarita
Janel T.

I almost gave it 3 stars but the food was yummy and the ambiance is nice. I never had a coconut margarita so that was delicious. Service was a bit slow and the food wasn't hot but I was hungry. I'm not eager to go back but definitely would recommend.

Been a little while since I was last here, but my wife and I just stopped in the best happy hour. Spicy margarita was on point, and the food was good do. Need to start coming here more often.

Service was slow but still great! I love their ravioli, it has amazing flavor. I also ordered the paps bravas but unfortunately the bigger chunks were undercooked. Not a biggie, I come for the real star of the place which is the margaritas.

Where We Bout To Eat At @octobarbalt Baltimore, MD This isn't your regular neighborhood bar! They are serving some amazing food and drinks, using fresh ingredients, that are all made in house. The menu is full of various Mediterranean style meals and crafted cocktails. You can sit in the bar area with friends, grab a table in the back with family, or just enjoy a moment to yourself beside the fresh flowers at each table outside. Customer service is amazing and the vibe is fantastic! Check out @octobarbalt A casual bar with an upscale menu! #octobar #baltimorebar #baltimorefinedining #baltimoreupscalemenu #federalhillbaltimore #itsdgl #danigirlliving #boujiebudgetblogger

the service was phenomenal. The space was beautiful; there was an upstairs and downstairs space. The vibe was fun. The food to me was just ok. I preferred the brussel sprouts and they were cooked well and had a decent flavor. I also othered the lamb meatballs and the meatballs were lacking in seasoning and the sauce tasted a little like metal. It was definitely a more than decent portion size for the price. It heated up better the next day and tasted considerably better with a little more flavor added to it. I think this place has a lot of potential if some small tweaks are made.

Chorizo sliders

So so close to 5 stars! Almost perfect but just biffed it at the end. This was my first time to Octobar, came with my husband and another couple on a Wednesday. Happy hour is until 7 with lots of options on the HH menu. This would be a great first date spot! All of our food (some from the regular menu) was great as was the red sangria (maybe a tad too sweet- but I loved the fruit in it!). Octobar has both small tapas plates and big entrees. I loved the big menu which was great for sharing with friends. Some standout plates were the chorizo sliders, the mussels, and the warm olives. Some of the dishes could come with a few more pieces of bread. During the meal, service was great but when it came time to pay - our server was nowhere to be found! It took over 25 minutes to pay our bill, totally unacceptable. At one point he asked if we wanted boxes... surely that is a sign we are wrapping up right? Then NOTHING. He never came back. He took another table's order right next to us and then I just kept walking. It was bizarre. Other than the strange close out experience, we had a great time, food was great and I thought prices were reasonable with or without happy hour. I'd go back!!

We came here for a girl's night happy hour after Googling great happy hour menus in the area - and this one was killer! The service was amazing from the moment we walked in, the bartender, bar back, and owner stopped by frequently to check on us and make sure we were taken care of. The best thing about Octobar and the one I've been screaming from the rooftops is a make your own margarita bar! They offer 10-15 flavors and you can mix and match as many as you like. We tested a few combos and we loved cucumber jalapeño! Each drink comes with a fresh garnish, as well. I had the pan con tomate, the meatballs, and the papas bravas and they were perfect. My friend had the chicken kebab with couscous, the grilled street corn, and the basil pesto tortellini and really enjoyed them. Her fave was the kebab and couscous and the tortellini. We honestly ordered too much, I think four small plates total would have been plenty! We had a great time, enjoyed our food and drinks, and will be back again!

We did not try the food as it was past the restaurant hours being open and we had already eaten at a restaurant in the alleyway. I will be doing a review on that Italian restaurant soon because it was really good. I loved the whole speakeasy vibe and the music was amazing. Grabbed the Farmhouse Benni & Chicken & Waffles. My homegirl throughly enjoyed her benni with dippy egg and all and my C&W was ok. The chicken was dry and somewhat burnt (see pic). I was unsure if it was supposed to be two chicken thighs or one and a half since that's what I received. The calabrian chilli hot honey was very tasting and saved the dish. I always ask for sauces on the side and glad I was able to control how much sweetness I needed for each bite. I was already in a crappy mood and didn't contest my food since it fit and just wanted to try and finish my carafe of mimosa before we needed to leave and watch the game at The Bank. They do have some fun upcoming happenings like a 4 course tequila paired dinner that I was intrigued to try but was sold out. It would be fun to come back and try a paired dinner.

In the past we've had a Gimlet here, so we asked and they made us one while we waited, even though it wasn't featured on their online menu. I ordered a freshly-fried $16 Catfish Po' Boy, with lettuce and tomato and a little very lightly-spicy mayo-butter sauce on fresh French Bread. It's a generous enough sandwich that I ate it in two goes, and that bread really crisped-up beautifully flakey! Because we cannot resist, we also got an order of fresh-made deep-fried beignets, little randomly-shaped crispy pastry-dough treats in a sneezeable amount of powdered sugar.
