Great show and cocktails! Can't wait to return. The service from arriving to leaving was wonderful! Loved how intimate it was.

Been living in the area and hearing great things about this show for years! Finally decided to go and my wife and I had a great time. The show was run like a well oiled machine, and we had a blast. Honestly, I'm not a big magic fan and was kinda worried this wouldn't be for me, but I was wrong. The show was incredible and we both had a blast! The is a reason every person I've ever asked about it recommended I go :)

    Such humor & talent

We had no idea what to expect, but we were blown away by what a blast this magic & comedy show entailed! The price includes 2 drinks and every one the two of us had was delicious! The bartender was awesome; I don't know how she kept up with everyone! The magician was hilarious and talented. There was so much audience interaction, but it was never awkward or uncomfortable. The whole night was magical, fun, and unforgettable! We were in town from Illinois, but I wish we didn't live so far away because I'd love to come back with family & friends!

Illusions is so fun! This was my second time there, but the first was pre-pandemic many years ago. My husband and I came for a different type of date night and had a great time. Spencer is very talented with his magic tricks, and also very funny! He doesn't do the physical stuff anymore due to doctors orders (like hang upside down, straight jacket etc) which was a little bit of a bummer, but we had a great time and it was a very entertaining show. Plus I loved the Halloween decorations!

The real magic is the people who make Illusions happen. From the incredible Spencer to the skilled bar tender down to the kind bouncer, Illusions has the right idea. The magic show itself is hysterical and jaw dropping. Spencer should be proud of the amazing job he's done in continuing the family business. I highly recommend catching a show while you're in the area. Plus the pomegranate martini was delicious!

A friend of my sister's had told me about Illusions and how fun it was, I made a mental note of it before finally getting tickets when my friends from Seattle were in town for a visit this past weekend. We got tickets for Saturday at 3 pm and got there a little after 2 pm. There was parking on Charles st and on the side streets (it might've also been because we're in the middle of a heat wave and nobody wants to leave their house). The owner and magician came out to greet us. He gave us our drink tickets and showed us to our seats. When you walk in, you're immediately transported to a cool and spooky bar atmosphere. We loved it. All of us were super hyped when we saw it. We went up and grabbed our first round of drinks. My husband got the hazelnut espresso martini, and my friend and I got the daiquiri. My other friend also got a drink with a cherry in it, I can't remember the name. But we all really enjoyed our drinks. And they were strong. The hazelnut espresso martini was on point. I don't like coffee, but I would've taken my husband's drink if he let me! We did get another round right before the show started. My husband got the strawberry lemonade cocktail while my friend and I got the pie car. The pie car tasted exactly like an apple pie, and I'm kicking myself for not getting that first. It was definitely my favorite. The show itself was SO fun. We all had such a blast. Spencer is great. He's hilarious, and it really adds to the experience. We loved the magic tricks - especially my husband who loves this kind of stuff. He even suggested we bring some of his friends whenever they come to visit us. I already have another friend tell us she wants to come the next time she's in town as well! There is an intermission to go to the bathroom and get more drinks! Although the bartender comes around during the show to see if you need another drink! After the show, I got Spencer's autograph and we got a selfie with him! It's such a fun way to spend an afternoon, I can't recommend it enough.

When my friend said she wanted to go to a magic show for her birthday celebration I was a little skeptical. But this was such a fun evening out! We went with a very large group for a birthday celebration with a wide range of different ages from 14-70+ and a mixed group of locals and out of towners. Everyone in our party was thoroughly entertained. The illusionist, Spencer Horseman, does a lovely job of engaging everyone in the audience and of providing moments for spectators to become a part of the show. The tickets include 2 drinks, which you can also choose to use for merchandise instead. The drinks were surprisingly well done. I really enjoyed the Hazelnut Espresso Martini. Overall, I think this a great option for an out of the box night out in Baltimore.

I loved coming to Illusions! The show was amazing and interactive the whole way through. Spencer was engaging with his jokes and tricks the entire show as well as handling the crowd and keeping us entertained. The seasonal drinks were tasty and my favorite was the salted caramel espresso martini. While the show is going on the bartender (sorry I don't remember her name) Made sure to come around and check to see if we needed more drinks and that everyone was enjoying themselves. I'll definitely be coming back

A group of girlfriends who have been friends for 50+ years decided to go to the illusions bar and theater. Not really knowing what to expect we had the most amazing time! We're still all scratching our heads from the incredible illusions that SPENCER has created! We're all coming back together and separately with other friends. I had no idea this was in downtown Baltimore. What a nice surprise!

Ask the Community - Illusions Bar & Theater

Is it kid friendly age 13?

The atmosphere is certainly geared towards adults, however we took our teens 17, 14, 14 & 13 last year & we all had a blast!

    Is it wheelchair accessible?

Unless there is a chair lift that I am unaware of the only way into the theater for the actual magic show is up several stairs.

    Is there food?

You can bring you own but you must eat it before the show.

I got the VIP hookup! All you can eat crabs, coleslaw, corn, chips, and beer sampling!! When we entered, we got our VIP wristbands and a souvenir mini beer mug for endless samples. You have to options when sampling beer: try or mug. Trying allows you to taste the beer so you don't get a full mug and waste it if you don't like it. If you like it, ask them to "mug" and they will fill the mug. Lots of great beer, wine, and spirit vendors were present, such as Guinness, Heavy Seas, Charm City Meadworks, Virginia Distillery Co, Hoop Tea, and Jim Beam. We definitely took advantage and left lit! The crabs came 6 at a time. They provided us with mallets, wet naps, butter, Old Bay, and vinegar. VIPs also have guaranteed seating until the big tent. There was a live band for entertainment and they sang a little bit of everything. The people attending were great, the attendant were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go to another. The VIP tickets were worth it!!

Because you get unlimited…read morecrabs (a tray of 6 at a time but keep coming for more as you please), unlimited beer or wine sampling with a souvenir mini mug, a wooden mallet to help you get crackin' (I took a clean one home as a souvenir because they had so many!), you get to sit under a huge tent away from the sun, and you get unlimited corn on the cob, cole slaw, and chips as well. It is well worth it!!! I dunno 'bout you but I always feel extra when I have a wristband on and for this event I got 2! If you decide $89 is too costly they have cheaper options as well but you only get 6 crabs. But if you are with your best friend who can throw back some crabs (19 to be exact and she wanted more!) then do VIP! There's 2 sessions for everyone's convenience! We picked the later session for the sake of the summer heat and it couldn't have been more perfect once the sun set! We also enjoyed the live band that performed favorite, current & pop covers. This was a super fun event, great location with admirable views of the inner harbor, and I cannot wait til I get to come again. I had a great first experience! Vendors of all types were there to offer a variety of things from jewelry, desserts, services, handmade goods, shirts, and many more. We took an Uber there, also my first time, so I can't comment on parking. What I found convenient was the portable sinks to wash your hands. I wouldn't say it's drinkable but it definitely washes off the crabby hands!! There's a million paper towels and wet naps to help you out as well! See ya next year and let's get crackin'!!

I went to the 2 pm screening of Captain Marvel and was the only person in the theater. I gotta tell you, it's pretty cool to have any theater where you are the only person, but in an IMAX, it's incredible. The sound was amazing, the image quality was amazing and the seats are comfortable too. The concessions was open, but they didn't have any popcorn so I got a bottle of soda and some dots ice cream. For $13.95 with no tax, the experience is a steal and I highly recommend to see whatever Hollywood movie they are playing.

We recently watched "Avengers:Endgame" here and here's what I think: PROS: 1) Ticket price is way cheaper than Imax tickets at AMC, or comparable formats at Cinemark, Landmark, etc. 2) It boasts of having the largest screen, and it really is. Very impressive. 3) It's at Inner Harbor, so there are lots of things to see and do before and after screening. 4) We went on a Sunday, and there was a concession stand with popcorn and drinks and other stuff, not much, but at least. CONS: 1) I wasn't impressed by the sound. They said it was surround, but it wasn't. Plus, you can hear other people's laughter more than the movie audio, very distracting. 2) There is no Wi-Fi at the Maryland Science Center where this is located. Which is surprisingly disappointing for an educational site. 3) There are no reserved seating so if you want to get the best seats, be prepared to line up early. For us, since it was the Avengers opening weekend, we lined up an hour before. The place was full. 4) The seats don't recline, they don't even swing back, they are fixed. 5) Others may find parking a problem if you don't come in early. So, to sum up, would I go again to this place? Yes, I might. It depends on what's showing. For me, the best movie experience is still the Dolby theaters at AMC with the clear visuals and moving audio: the screen is not that big but you get recliner seats and reserved seating. It just costs a lot more.

My partner and I took a summer Friday off for a proper day date -- movies, late lunch, the whole thing. We were treating ourselves. The movie? Disclosure Day. A Spielberg film about humanity finally learning the truth. The irony of what followed was not lost on me. First, the concessions. The young woman working the counter appeared to be in a state of suspended animation. Slouched, silent, possibly in another dimension entirely. We weren't sure where to scan our tickets and asking for help felt like we were genuinely inconveniencing her existence. I've interacted with more enthusiastic houseplants. I felt bad asking for popcorn. Popcorn. A movie theater staple. I understand bad days, we all have them, but this one was notable. Then there was the temperature. I want to be clear: it was cold. Not "oh grab a light jacket" cold. Cryogenic cold. I'm pretty sure the aliens in the film had better atmospheric conditions than Theater 6. My sweat froze. That's not a metaphor. Speaking of Theater 6, there was also a strange recurring noise during the film that we couldn't identify. Given the subject matter, we briefly considered it was part of the experience. It was not. Here's the thing though: the movie was fantastic and honestly saved the afternoon. Emily Blunt deserves all the things. But with streaming making it easier than ever to skip the theater, the experience itself has to earn it. Yours usually does. Today just wasn't the day of disclosure we were hoping for. We'll be back. Please turn up the AC. I understand it's hot af outside but I don't need to watch the movie on an iceberg. I'm not exaggerating, a winter coat wouldn't have been enough. We wore long pants and brought jackets. Bring a blanket!
