Decent drink selection though some of the custom cocktails weren't made well/right (namely the cucumber smash didn't go over well with my table and the old fashioned seemed watered down). Service was decent and the overall consensus for the food was the same. Prices were ok for the time frame in relation to the quality. I like the look of the place as you don't realize you're in an otherwise nearly dead shopping center. Kudos there. Thank you Lancaster for having a great restaurant like THE THIRD PLACE. They are tucked away in an older business/shopping center so they don't get a lot of natural foot traffic but the people who know about this place are lucky to do so! The space is aesthetically appealing and upon entering their beautiful space, your eyes are drawn to the bar which invites you to have a drink right away lol. There's lots of seating, the menu has a little bit of everything, and the place even has some "Instagram worthy" areas. I think it's the perfect after-work or date night spot! read more

I've eaten at this place many times now, and I can say: The food here is GOOD! The Bone in ribeye is excellent, as well as the fish tacos, and their burgers. I just wish they could make me a double, because the single patty simply isn't enough meat. The drinks here are pretty good, the best I've had were from Nate. That man is a wiz behind the bar. It's a nice place to relax and have some food with family, or friends. The only complaint I have is the service. I've been here plenty of times, and have only had good service once. Otherwise, I typically feel ignored when I come here to eat. I came here on my lunch one day and was starving. Took awhile before they even asked what I'd like to drink, and order. I got my appetizer, and they didn't even take my order until 10 minutes after I finished my appetizer, and it wasn't even busy, on a late afternoon. I'm sure it's my face, they probably just don't like the looks of it. Because this particular day I ordered like 5 things from the menu. I was HUNGRY. I keep coming back because the food is good, and I think that maybe one day I'll get some good service again. My husband and I just left here for lunch and we were both appalled by the kitchen staff. My husband ordered a $17 chicken sandwich and I a $19 Brie burger both were serviced with 6 wedges. My Brie burger was not cooked medium well but that happens sometimes, however, I wanted more Brie cheese as mine was literally the size of a small fry on both sides ( I showed the waiter). The waiter was very nice but told me the kitchen said, "No". In all of my travels to low and high end establishments, I have never been told NO and not given an option for more product with an additional cost. One of THE best burgers I've had in quite some time!! I ordered the bacon jam burger (one of the specials) and the patty was cooked to perfection with the seasoning spot on. The potato wedges were crisp on the outside and light and airy inside. Again, seasoned to perfection. Wanted to order a cocktail but I refrained. My wife had a friend suggest this new (to us) restaurant, located in a strip mall I've driven past many times. No idea it was even there! That being said, we made a reservation and showed up ready to be fed and liquidically sustained. They made me a whisky sour that was as sweet as sour, but it was not too over the top... tasty. Wifey had a salad... all good, I had the mussels, which were very nice in a spot-on broth, but as they don't do bread at the table the three slices, offered to soak the sauce, I'm assuming, ran out with sauce still to go. Whoops..! Maybe they'll correct that. Just bringing three more pieces of bread would do the trick. My wife's steak was bit on the 'muscular' side...just a bit more chew than desired. Good flavor, though. I had the Brie Burger, and here's where I'll lose a few people because there are SO many hamburgers to choose from in this world, and everyone likes something different. But my take on it has this particular burger in my all time TOP 10. If you don't like Brie, don't order it, right..? But if you do, you'll certainly enjoy it. They make their own ketchup in house. Tried the chicken sandwich and steak banh mi. For dessert the tres leche banana nut was delish. Decided to try Third Place this weekend! So glad we did! Food was original, fresh and delicious! We wanted to try everything on the menu because it all sounded good but we opted for a few different dishes to share! First we started off with two amazing drinks, an old fashioned and a whiskey sour! Props to the delightful bartender! She not only made amazing drinks but she was so pleasant and made great suggestions for dinner! We chose the mussels and shishito peppers to start. I'm giving this place 3 due to their pricing/meal ratio and service. Walked and was welcomed by a gentleman at the front. Walked us to our table and serve two cups of water. Placed the menus and silverware on the table as a mess. Pretty much just threw it on the table, no organization whatsoever. Left and came back after 10mins to take our order. We ordered the lobster pasta and ribeye (medium rare) with a glass of Sierra Mist and Pepsi. Server came back within 5 minutes to serve us our drinks then came back 10mins after that to serve us our meal. Taste of food was not bad, but I don't believe my rib eye was 14oz. Maybe around 10-12oz. Ribeye meal came with 3 pieces of potato wedges. What?! 3 pieces?! For $51, a better complementing side should have been served. Ribeye was cooked right for medium rare which I'll compliment the chef for. The server never came back to check up on the food or us after serving the meal. Our drinks were empty half way through our meal, server never came to see if refill was needed. Server only came back to give us the check when our meal was finished. Server needs better training. 1. For a decently nice place for dining. Please set the silverware and menu appropriately on the table. 2. Check up on diners and their food after 5 mins of delivering meal. 3. Be diligent in making sure accommodations are met, drinks are full, ask if diners need anything else.
