Decent dive bar, was the only place in QH for many years. Haven't been in here for many years and last time I was here the place was a wreck, now it looks like it's gone through a remodel and much cleaner and more well kept. Was visiting from San Diego. Came in on Sunday night and was ignored for a good amount of time ( seems to be the theme of this area) until I said "Hi" loudly to the bartender. This is the best bar in the Antelope Valley. I would especially like to recognize three bartenders at the Silver Spur. Dolly, Donna, and Nikki are some of the finest bartenders in the AV. They all remember my name and address me as such, making me feel like a very valued customer every time I see them. Bar tabs are always accurate and customers are never overcharged here. The house drinks here are fantastic and never watered down. Karaoke on Thursday through Sunday nights is normally hosted by Chris who is a fantastic DJ. Silver Spur sells pizza, hot dogs, and breakfast sandwiches also. FYI...there is a jumbo hot dog on their hidden menu as well. Silver Spur is just like every tiny, cash only dive bar in every city. Lots of longtime regulars and locals aged 30-70 hanging out enjoying cheap drinks in a little local watering hole. It's not fancy, the food offerings are chips basically, but it's packed most times I go. Newly remodeled and looks a lot better, but still a tiny dive bar and that's okay. It's popular because it's what it is, a very casual place to chill with buddies to sip and have some karaoke on select nights. Bartenders are nice and try hard but in the weeds buried in customers. It happens, still got good service. Parking is decent and overflow parking on the side of the road across the street too. Large tented outdoor patio with a lot of space, inside is small. I like the Spur, no pretentious games like a snobby bar and I can get straight patron and other simple drinks easily and cheaply. read more

Rediculous prices for this type of bar. The prices and environment just isn't what it use to be. Place has definitely gone down hill. I went there on saturday a few weeks ago after not having been there in a few years and the prices were way higher. It an old house turned into an old bar. The last (illegal) hold-out for smokers, it has since been closed temporarily for the same reason. When it re-opened, it's the same old bar, only fresher air ;) Too, bad. I was hoping for a big change. Here's my opinion: The place is hole.
