We were looking for a sports bar in Lancaster, my brother mention Coaches off of Gadsden ave. We stopped by for lunch the other day to sample the food a check out the location. As you drive up it is a stand along building with plenty of parking on the far back left side of the parking lot plaza. The interior is very unique, dark back ground with blue lighting with many wall art pieces and TV's you can view within any seating options. They have bar top seating, table and charges and booths. Plenty of seating for small and large parties. As you can see from the menu pictures below they have many food options depending on what you in the mood for. We stopped in during lunch to test out their wings, we heard they were very good, they did not disappoint. The lunch special is a great way to sample their food, we each had our own wing lunch special, I had the 10 piece, you can get two choices of sauce with the 10pc only, my brother had the 8 piece, each order comes with a drink and your choice of fries or onion rings, great price for the wings. The wings had great flavor and were fair sized, I was very impressed with the "hot" buffalo sauce, very tasty with a small kick, I would recommend a try, I also ordered the spicy teriyaki,it was ok but my brother ordered the spicy lemon pepper that is also a hit and a must try. The french frys were criss cut and good sized portion as well. The staff was friendly, we had a great interaction with the bartender (Ash) who brought over our drinks. Overall, a very good experience, we are also looking for a spot to watch the World Cup games and Ash mention that they were going to support the games, we will be back next week to take in the games and more of the menu. read more

Following our epically failed experience at the NEW Coach's location in Palmdale, we came here in hopes of enjoying Coach's like we used to. The wait staff was pleasant enough, but all the additional charges are out of hand! I had ran into this issue here, previously, as well as at the NEW Coach's just earlier today. We ordered one dozen wings. We asked for the six flats of the order to be "mild" and the six drums to be the spiciest they have (which is not spicy at all). We asked for them to be extra wet. My wife likes ranch with hers, while I like blue cheese. When the ticket is presented, there are up-charges for ALL FLATS and ALL DRUMS, a charge for the blue cheese, a charge for ordering the wings wet. Seriously?! First of all, I had spoken to a manager at this location previously about the up-charges for separating the flats and drums to different flavor profiles. The manager agreed that I should not be charged for this and removed those charges. In discussion with the manager at the NEW Coach's, earlier today, the same consensus was relayed. STOP CHARGING FOR THIS! Look, I could understand if I was ordering six or twelve wings and asking for all of them to be drums or flats. When one orders twelve wings, which is generally equal amounts of drums and flats, why am I attempting to be up-charged twice for having one sauce on all the flats in my order and another sauce on all the drums? Why are you charging me for another dipping sauce on an order of twelve wings? You give one dipping sauce for an order of six wings. You think one dipping sauce is compatible for an order of twelve? You charge me for asking for our wings extra wet? The only reason we ask for them that way is because the wings are nearly dry if you don't. And, the little dollop of sauce that came with the wings was hardly worthy of being called "wet". I had to ask for more sauce because there was not enough to even consider them being viewed as wet when they arrived to the table. This place is going downhill; quick, fast, and in a hurry since the transition to new ownership. Coach's used to be a place we could enjoy going to and count on their menu staples being available (if they weren't sold out!). The fried green beans were in high demand. So much so that they were sold out when we went, a few times. Their pretzels were also a huge hit! The new owners removed them from the menu. I know they have had numerous requests to bring them back, but they couldn't care less. The food has gone downhill, the wait staff is not as lively and personable as they used to be, the extra charges are ridiculous, and the new owners don't give a rat's a$$ about their customers; they only care about trying to make money (while removing a couple of the best selling items on the original Coach's menu). Make that make sense! Remove sell-out items when your only focus is about making money. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the waitress was halfway attentive. I hate to say it...coaches is not the same sports bar that I grew up loving. Food 6/10 Wings were not crispy. No more fried green beans. Condiments cost you extra. Service 6.5/10 Waitress was fine. We had a group of 8 and all of our Food came out all different times. One of the kids sliders meals came 10 min after everyone else already had their food. Cost $$ Food is expensive but nothing crazy compared to what is normal post covid. What is a slap in the Face is the nickel and dime they do charging you for extra buffalo sauce and for each ranch. Sat down, took forever for a waitress to ask for my drink that never came, and was really disappointed with the environment. After waiting over twenty minutes and watching everyone that showed up after get their drinks I assumed they forgot about me and left. This place is filled with dirt bags anyways. Nice sports bar with multiple TV's and surround sound. You can see the tv from every seat in the building. Fast and friendly service. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, it was not crowded and there was no wait. A friend recommended this place for the wings. I ordered a dozen wings half lemon pepper and half spicy lemon pepper. I normally do not do spicy but I love lemon pepper and rented to try that flavor. In my opinion, it just tastes like spicy hot wings. I recommend this flavor if you like spicy. The lemon pepper was ok. The top didn't have much flavor but the bottom wings did since it was soaking in the marinade. They also have a great selection of drinks and beer. The wings are terrible now, and the management seems to have little regard for either their employees or the community that supported them for so many years. It's honestly insulting that they chose to name the new restaurant "Coaches Tavern," trying to capitalize on the reputation and loyal following that Coaches built over the years. The spicy teriyaki wings are perfections as are the All Star sliders. I love this place. It's very chill sports bar vibes. The bartender Eric is always very kind helpful and amazing. All the servers are great and nice. My go to drink is the Mexican Candy cocktail and shot as well as the mango margarita and it's never failed here. Came today Labor Day about 1:30-2:15. Last time coming here. 1. Sign says $5.00 margarita Monday. Was going to order but was told out of well tequila so would have to charge more. Should have either offered for the $5.00 OR change the sign. 2. Menu says rye or sourdough for patty melt but when asked for rye told no rye bread. Take it off the menu then. 3. When food was brought the server never asked if we wanted ketchup for the fries or ranch for the onion rings. Had to ask. 4. Asked for A-1 sauce for the patty melt, no A-1 sauce. 5. By the time I arrived, my friend had already been waiting for me for about 10 to 15 minutes. He had already put in his drink order. I sat down, about 5 minutes later the waitress came over to take my drink order. I put the order in and continued conversing with my friend. For the next 20 minutes we waited for our drinks to show up listening to the vulgar conversation of the two patrons at the table next to us. Finally, when it appeared that our drinks were not going to show up, and nobody was going to come take our food order, we decided to leave. I used to really love this place. The wings are the best in town. But no wings are worth a complete lack of service and attention. Once the new location on 10th Street opens up, this location will just become a distant memory. My glass spent more time empty than filled. They did apologize for the slow service but it never got better. We were told they would comp a beer but then they never removed it from the tab, when we asked they said they never said that. Takes a while to get a drink order in and once you do it take about 10 minutes to get it. The food takes a while to get as well and for get about getting your bill. I am still sitting inside the restaurant as I write this. My whole experience was a nightmare. We waited 10+ minutes after we walked in and sat down. I had to go get service from the bartender multiple times throughout my visit. We weren't served by the waiter once. My order was wrong. I couldn't send it back due to lack of service. We enjoyed this place, solid three stars. There are a lot of TV's and channels. The wings are great. I was not keen on the chicken taco salad although it was loaded with chicken; something was off. We had to ask for water, but no one offered to refill it. A server spilled ranch dressing on my husband, and they offered him nothing but an apology and a napkin:). Our table became available after ordering drinks at the bar. we sat down and no one ever came to take our order. It had been 1.5 hours until we decided to order online.
