    10 Piece Boneless Wings
    Laurie V.

Went for lunch with hubby This place was highly rated so we wanted to check it out. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and not very big. It has a full bar and also features different breweries. Hubby ordered the pretzel appetizer. He also had the Philly chicken sub with fries. Which he said was good. I had the boneless wings which was the special. The wings were tasty but reminded me more of chicken tenders than wings. I had them put the sauce on the side. Not sure if we will return.

Our dinner at The Press was a delicious blend of comfort food and classic favorites. We started with the lightly breaded calamari, which was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and perfectly seasoned. The breading was light enough to let the fresh flavor of the calamari shine, and the grilled pineapple added just the right touch. For the main course, my husband went with The Conquistadore Burger--juicy, well-seasoned, and stacked with bold toppings that created a rich, satisfying bite every time - this burger won best of St Augustine. I ordered the Steakhouse Burger, which was equally impressive, boasting a smoky, savory flavor that paired perfectly with its hearty toppings. Both burgers were served on house made buns and came with one side. Service was prompt and friendly, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the evening. By the time we left, we were already talking about what we'd try on our next visit. Rating: -- A great spot for a casual meal with food worth coming back for. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

I didn't order this burger but had to take a photo!! Staff said it's called the vanquisher.

We will find any reason to drive 95 miles to St Augustine just to be able to grab a burger here. Lunch or dinner, it's all good! And it's not all burgers... check out the menu there something for everyone. It's a small establishment with amazing staff & fast chefs. Seating is mainly inside with a few casual tables outside the front entrance. Establishment is in a plaza with shared parking.

If I could give it more stars I would. This place hands down rocked my world! I had the filet mignon, with grilled veggies and the most amazing shrimp and lobster cream sauce and my husband had seafood pot pie. I can't wait to come back to this little gem.

    Chipotle beer cheese flatbread.

Wow! The food is incredible. Their signature burger is absolutely incredible and different. Steaks are great. Good flatbreads. Deserts looked incredible going by. Service was great. Food cake out pretty fast. Very unassuming ambiance.

Traveling, he drove past it while I ck on yelp, looked good so we turned around. Got there around 5, not a big place. Sam the bartender was welcoming and made my man happy with a cold Amstel Light, his fav! I got the chicken corn chowder, nice n hot with a kick to it. Prime rib sandwich was good, could have used more meat. He enjoyed the salad that came with it and the mushrooms (for me ) n onions on the side. When we were leaving the place was filling up. Definitely would go back, pictures do not do them justice.

The Press is a cozy spot in a strip mall. We had to make reservations for this small place, otherwise we would not have been seated. Food was good. Portions were large and the service was good. We were interested in trying the large pretzel with the cheese sauce. So yummy. For entrees we had the goat cheese and spinach flatbread, the el Cuban, the Cabernet mushroom and Swiss burger, the prime rib sandwich and side salad. The burger was really good, but I don't care for Swiss cheese. It seems you can't ask for substitutions here. However, I did like it regardless. The day we dined had a dessert special of Key Lime Pie for $5, so look for that on Thursday nights, if available. The portions were good but overall I thought the prices were fair considering the quality of ingredients. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. We had a really good experience here, but you must make a reservation if you want to sit in dining area.

Lunch at The Press today. Arrived after the lunch rush. Plenty of tables and parking out front. Wife and I shared the prime rib sandwich with fries. Excellent got it with onions and mushrooms. Added a side salad and a bowl of French onion soup excellent taste. For dessert their white chocolate bread pudding so yummy. So it's a 5. Worth a visit. Excellent food and service thanks to Tammy and the team.

Our mixologist was named Talon; he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He started by asking us what we usually like to drink (spirits and flavor profiles). Once we gave him the information he needed, Talon proceeded to make us some amazing cocktails. I absolutely loved mine and could have drank them all night. I tried some of my friends' drinks and they were all excellent as well. We ordered several appetizers to share (guacamole, wings, empanadas, and mojo chicharrones), everything was very tasty. Talon came back over to ask us what options we'd like for our second round or drinks, so we all went with something different than the first order. Every cocktail he served us was really good and based on our individual tastes and preferences. I wish I lived in the area because I would go to Odd Birds regularly. The night we were there, they had a secret disco going on in the main dining area which sounded like a fun idea. I loved everything from the drinks, food, and interior decor. The Charlotte 33 Speakeasy area has a very pretty atmosphere as well.

Long waits are common for this spot. The interior is the old Ice Plant so it has great character. Not super large so limited dining spots within. Very high ceilings and though there were plenty of diners, it was overly loud. Great spot to enjoy the company you are with! Our server was top notch, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly but not trying to monopolize our table talk. We started with Cocktails which were all great. I went classic Old Fashioned, presentation AND taste were on point. We split the Crab Beignets order of 4. The breading on them was light and fluffy, the Crab tasty and they were cooked appropriately, no burns or underdone spots. For our main course, we elected to split 2 of the specials of the day so they may not be there when you go, but judging by the quality of the specials, any dish would be great. We had the Caesar Salad (which is like calling the Queen Mary2 a "boat"!). It is next level, 7 minute eggs, homemade croutons, Anchovie forward, all good! We also split an order of Shrimp Cake Sliders. These were huge, and the slaw that accompanied was the perfect match to the shrimp without overwhelming them. For dessert we settled on the Pineapple cake which also had coconut and all kinds of wonderful flavors going on! A really outstanding meal from beginning to end!

The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!

The service was excellent, and the food has that fresh, thoughtful, farm-to-table feel where you can tell care is going into what comes out of the kitchen. For me, one of the biggest highlights was how seriously they take gluten-free dining. I had warm, made-from-scratch gluten-free biscuits with pork belly and a peach bourbon jam, and oh my goodness -- absolutely to die for. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. It is not often that you find a gluten-free biscuit that feels like you are getting the full experience rather than settling for an alternative. I was also impressed by how many gluten-free options they offer. Even their po' boy can be battered with rice flour. Our waiter explained that the chef is gluten-free and that they are very mindful of guests with celiac disease, including separating food preparation when needed. That level of care is a huge plus. And it wasn't just the gluten-free food that impressed us. One friend ordered the meatloaf sandwich and received a seriously hearty piece of meatloaf. My husband had the BLT with pimento cheese on thick sourdough bread, and it was excellent. We also heard that the chicken and waffles, offered during dinner, are a must-try -- so that may be calling us back! The cocktail menu was another win. The drinks were creative, original, flavorful, and clearly thoughtfully crafted rather than just the standard options you see everywhere. Everyone in our group seemed genuinely happy with what they ordered, which says a lot. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, creative drinks, fantastic food, and some of the best gluten-free options I've come across. Five stars all the way. I would absolutely return to The Floridian and work my way through more of that gluten-free menu!

From what I remember, the buffet had scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, bacon, sausage links, sausage patties, bagels, muffins, cereal, milk, fruit, yogurt, water bottles, and much more. The fruit was individually packaged and located in a "take what you want" fridge with the yogurt, water, and I think there were some other things in there. We were also offered coffee. We accepted and were thrilled when this amazing Italian coffee arrived (Lavazza). It was some of the best coffee I have had in a long time. The service was also impeccable. We had two incredibly nice ladies waiting on us. They kept our coffee full, encouraged us to eat more, offered to bring us juice, kept the table clear, told us to take water bottles with us on our adventures, and more. They were so sweet. For $10 each, we left with full and happy bellies and water bottles for our trip. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

For my wife's Chicken Parmesan they were willing to change the pasta to grits - and that was very nice of them. Grits are similar to polenta- which is how she makes hers. She liked her dish. I had the three fish combo - and it was not very good. I believe a small piece of flounder (which was overcooked), three or four shrimp (which were overcooked as well), and a crab cake - which was decent but kind of mushy, but the moisture helped me to eat the other overcooked fish so ended up being a positive. Had key lime pie for dessert- which was okay but not great in my opinion. We did not complain or ask them to redo the fish.
