Loved it. Easy to bring the dog and wait on the patio for order. Pizza was thin crust, the way I love it -- it was a tad overdone. Burned spots on the crust, but still great. Want to try lemon pizza next time. Green Goddess salad was outstanding! Instead of crutons, they add a sprinkle of (maybe buttered?) bread crumbs...so much better than big ol' crunchy croutons. I loveeeee the Parlor especially in OC. Their Fiore de Lemon pizza is sooooo gooood Their pizzas are the highlight of every meal. BUT - recently, I had to dock a star because that pizza crust ain't that thin anymore. IM HERE FOR THE THINNNN pizza crust, which is also great for my dad's diabetes. We're always here for the pizzas and he can usually eat up to three slices no problem. If I wanted a thick dough, I'd go to Papa John's. If I wanted a thinner dough but not paper thin, I'd just go across the street to Terra Mia. I'm here for that paper thin see through, dough that kind of melts and falls apart in the center bc of how thin it is. Citrus salad has definitely changed up too but that's A-ok. The Parlor is a local Italian restaurant that I have seen on Yelp for a long time now. One night we decided to get take out from them to try something new. I tried to call the restaurant multiple times and I was unsuccessful. I also went onto their website and they were not taking online orders either. So inconvenient. I had to go in person to order and then wait for my order there. My boyfriend had The Grinder ($16.00) and I had their Green Goddess Salad ($14.00) and Yuzu Kombucha ($4.50). We shared the Sausage & Peppers Pizza ($19.00). If you ever had a grinder sandwich anywhere else, this isn't like what you had prior. When I opened it, this sandwich looked like it had a salad throw in the middle. Which made the inside kind of wet and soggy. I think it tasted decent, but not what we expected. Also really expensive for a sandwich. My salad was the saddest blandest salad I've had in a while. I even tossed it up w bit but I just didn't like it. The bites of avocado were the best parts of it. It does not come with protein, and you'll have to add that for additional cost. A lot of the photos online shows it with chicken, but they must have added onto it. I wasn't a fan of the pizza either. Crust too burnt for my liking and the toppings were nothing exciting. Could use more sausage. It wasn't even cheap... so I generally feel like there are other pizza places I would rather go to if I wanted pizza. Oh the yuzu kombucha was the best thing I had and something I will look for to buy at the store or online. I didn't try their pastas, but in this minute I am not really motivated to come back. I don't really like their ambiance for dine in. Limited loud cramped setting in their actual space. OMG! I had one of the thinnest crisp crusted pizza and yummiest pizza yesterday! I just discovered the Parlor and it's been around for 2 years+! Who knew!? Had the squash blossom, lemon, zucchini with dollops of Stracciatella cheese. It was absolutely delicious and refreshing! Also had the fennel sausage pasta and Green Goddess salad. This is gourmet food in a business park, nondescript setting. I can't wait to return and try the other pizzas and the short rib pasta. This has become my favorite pizza place! read more

I placed my order for a quick pick up during lunch. My single item was ready at the exact pick up time, and it was still hot when I went to retrieve it a couple minutes late! I ordered the cacio e Pepe. The noodles were al dente with the perfect chew to them! However, the sauce was salty and too overseasoned. It was hard to enjoy the meal because of this. :( I think I would ask them to skip the cheese sprinkled on top next time, because it was just extremely salty. It came with 2 pieces of bread on the side, which was absolutely delicious and helped counter the salty flavor. The bread was so soft and dense and delicious!!! I am honestly so bummed about my pasta, but I know this place has the potential to be amazing. Finally got to try The Parlor. I had bookmarked this for a few months now. It's located in an industrial area with plenty of parking. You order at the counter and they bring your order to a dining hall next door. Great and friendly service. We shared a bowl of their famous Rigatoni Bolognese before going for a walk at the Tustin Sports Park. This pasta dish was very good and decent portion at a reasonable price. Talk about the luckiest Friday ever, one couldn't ask for better, from the smooth Americano to the squash blossoms pizza, the green goddess and the genuine employees to the common seating area, short of winning the lottery, I'd take this day on a repeat. Take this meal and conversations, even the short wait in line down to the olive focaccia staring at you as you wait your turn. Groundhog Day, sign me up! The food and pictures from previous diners did not disappoint. Each plate looks exactly like what you'd expect and taste even richer. Like the green goddess salad- generous chunks of creamy fresh avocado coated in evenly toasted bread crumbs, hand picked cilantro and creamy tabs of look-at-me cheese. If I wasn't so teeth-challenged it would be perfect. The use of artisan romaine was very Italian of them. The limone pizza was indeed surprising. Paper thin lemon just adds a nice zing to the white base accompanied with squash blossoms??!! Yesssss! The cacio e pepé had a great base with handmade pasta. The pasta was where I wish I could get something thinner, it had the texture and consistency of udon rather than pasta. It's delicious regardless. Dippable little puddle of sauce coated evenly and dimples of Parmesan. We even got lucky and got a complimentary giant slice of olive focaccia. My sis brought me here for an easy casual dinner with her baby in a stroller. They love it here cuz the pizzas and pastas are so legit, fresh and delicious. The seating area is really chill and there's plenty of seating. Please note that this is located inside a corporate building, and there's also a cafe too that she raved about, but was closed during dinner time. Also I heard this place is NOT open on the weekends. Here's what we got: Vesuvio Pasta - really good and light - great flavor with broken pieces of sausages and there's a bit of a heat to this. Pepperoni Pizza - the pepperonis are the mini sized ones, and it's your standard pepperoni pizza but very delicious. Funghi e Cavolo Pizza - not your standard mushroom pizza in a very good way. No sauce - just cheese and oil, and of course mushroom. I believe they use maitake mushroom for this and it's amazing. They also put chunks of kale on top and it works really well. DELICIOUS PIZZA!!! I ordered a Margherita pizza with San Marzano red tomato sauce and mozzarella fior di latte, and nothing else. Unlike buffalo mozzarella cheese, fior di latti is a creamy cheese made from cow's milk. In my opinion, the price of the pizza was reasonable. FRIENDLY COUNTER STAFF: The Manager "Megan" and the front counter staff was very efficient and answered my questions about the Margherita pizza and the red sauce, including a discussion of cheese toppings. MARGHERITA NEOPOLITAN PIZZA: The Margherita pizza crust was hot, thin, chewy and flavorful, with a nice amount of char from the wood-fired oven. The fior di latte cheese was thick, delicate, fresh and creamy. The San Marzano red sauce was seasoned just right - not too sweet and not too salty. There was abundant fior di latte mozarella cheese on my pizza and all of the cheese was stretchy with a firm texture. Stopped here for a quick bite/late lunch with my mom. The music was thumping in this place and felt like a club. All good though because you order at the counter and eat outside the restaurant. I'm assuming the dining/lounging space is part of a co-op space as it's inside what sort of looks like a warehouse type space share with a bakery and maybe some other spaces. This is a hidden gem in Tustin! My son came across this restaurant when we were looking for a place to eat. They were able to accommodate his nut and sesame allergy, which is a plus! If you are gluten free, they unfortunately don't have a gluten free option. We ordered the salads and two pizzas. The crust on the pizza was nice and crispy, and the marinara sauce is full of flavor. This time around, I got the rigatoni bolognese and it was super good! The sauce had a unique flavor that I really enjoyed. I'm not really sure how to describe it but it had much more depth than your average ragu. There was bit of spiciness to the sauce as well, very mild. The short rib was very tender but very scant. The noodles were a perfect al dente just like the previous time. They make their noodles perfectly here. I am recovering from wisdom tooth surgery and this is the first normal meal that I had that wasn't super painful to endure and actually left me full! Portions are on the smaller side for the price but it's quality food. Although this dish was amazing, I have to say that I like the Cacio e Pepe better. The creaminess and cheesiness with the pepper is just what I enjoy more when it comes to pasta! But I will say the bread that came with the bolognese was so much better and complimented the dish well. It was fluffy so it was able to soak up the sauce and it also had a bit of saltiness to it! I feel like it might've been a focaccia type of bread, it was delicious! I went after lunch time and on a sunnier day so it was much more poppin with people which was nice. It definitely wasn't as eerie as last time! Good vibes. The cashier was super nice again as well. Food did take a little bit longer than expected but wasn't too bad. Finally made it here. Was totally surprised by the location and how busy this little place is. I was hoping for more of a lunch special which they don't offer. They have specials for the day but I wanted to try like 1/2 salad with 1/2 pizza. But that's just me. Friendly service. I decided on the citrus salad for $15 and added chicken for an additional $6. So overall $21 for a salad is a bit on the pricier side. However, it was delicious! I enjoyed every flavor in my bowl and I would get it again! I got to try my friend's pepperoni pizza which I thought was tasty as well but she didn't feel well after eating the pizza. Need more seating in the open area but that's shared and not on them. I've been hesitant to write a review because I don't want to let the cat out of the bag - but it's 2024 and the time has come. The Parlor is spectacular, and it is imo the best pasta spot in the entire OC. I first came here close to when this shop first opened, and have frequented it since then. I've traveled around the world, eaten at a ton of low to high end restaurants all over Europe, (inclusive of Italy, France, Spain, Copenhagen, etc) and I think I have a good grasp on what good and bad breads and pastas taste like. The Parlor delivers on all fronts. The specialty here is of course the pasta, but every time I have come here the soups are top notch, and the pizza here is also surprisingly really good. But overall the pasta dishes are for sure the knockout dishes. I have had just about every pasta dish on their menu and they are all wonderful, so it's really up to you on what you feel like having. All the dough is made fresh daily, and when you bite into any dish it's really obvious. The quality is top tier and the prices are really adorable all things considered. Service is always super friendly, and the location itself is pretty small but there's a back community area across the restaurant where people can lounge sit and chat. The one downfall of this place is it is only open Monday through Friday, so if you need a weekend fix you will be out of luck! Do come early too, every time I come back to this spot the crowds have picked up each time so guess the word is going around at how good this place is. You'll be hard pressed to find a pasta spot that does it better than The Parlor, and that's saying alot because there are some pretty good Italian restaurants in the OC. So yes in all, if you haven't heard of or tried The Parlor, just go. You're doing yourself a disservice by waiting any longer. read more

When I arrived, I thought "how could such a place serve the best pizza AND pasta in OC?" From the outside it looks like a warehouse surrounded by a parking lot and nothing else. But this was the textbook example of not judging a book by its cover. On one side is the kitchen and ordering area. Then the other side is free seating with LOTS of open space. The ragu pasta was delicious and perfectly al dente. It came with a slice of bread that looked like ordinary grocery store bought bread, but on first bite I realized it was a delicious slice of freshly made sourdough. Tucked away in industrial complex, this place is hard to find. It's separate into 2 areas. Ordering area with few seats and larger community area where you can find more seating. Decor is nothing to write home about. It looks like a deli. Service is quick and very friendly. They cycle through customers quickly and produce food just as fast. Advice- if you plan on drinking alcoholic beverage, you can only drink in ordering area. I only saw like 5 chairs you can sit in. You are not allowed to take it to community area Boy was the food fresh and tasty. We shared margarita pizza that was fresh and well Balanced. Dude what is this space?!? Met up with some old coworkers tonight for a catch up dinner and was told to come to the parlor for some awesome wood fired pizza. Didn't think much of it and surprisingly didn't check my yelp beforehand, like I usually do, to see the menu and space. In a way I'm glad I didn't! I saw this little pizza shop place which looked small and cute and fun music vibes and smells great but what I wasn't expecting was that in the same building is this GIANT WAREHOUSE they have for seating and it's so random and spacious with cool furniture and plants everywhere. So you can grab your pizza and hang in this converted food hall like warehouse but the only food is The Parlor (which is PHENOMENAL PIZZA, plus pasta, sandwiches, and some desserts which I need immediately need to go back for). Such a vibe I ordered the pizza I couldn't pronounce and they customized it for me by removing the pork cheek and olives and adding basil. IT WAS SO GOOD! Those little chilies were perfection. I've gone here twice now with my coworkers for lunch and it's a decent option. Service: The service is pretty great and the staff is quite friendly. You order from the cashier and then you're given a number. Food Consensus: The menu has pizza, pasta, and salad options. My favorite is the beef short rib pasta. The flavors are solid, however I noticed toward the end of my meal it was pretty heavy. I recently tried the funghi pizza and I would not recommend it. The pizza was lacking flavor and the toppings are very questionable. The flavors of the toppings did not pair well either each other. I thought it was cute that they did the heart shaped pizzas for Valentine's Day but it doesn't make up for the flavor. Next time, I'll try out the green goddess salad. read more

Severely underrated place for a good bit to eat! The pizza is thin, crispy, and has amazing flavor profiles. The margherita and the funghi pizza are absolutely out of this world. I've been here many times and it's usually good. But this past Thursday we ordered the green goddess salad, bucatini, margherita pizza, and guanicale pizza. There was no shrimp or shellfish on our food. But, one of the people in our party started to have an allergic reaction. She's allergic to shellfish. We were so confused. We ended up going to the ER! There is no indication on the menu that there is cross contamination, but obviously there was! This is so dangerous!! Why is there no education regarding such allergies and possible contamination. You are allowed to take your food in there, however no alcoholic beverages can be consumed in that area. As for the indoor seating at the restaurant, it's very limited. There's about 4 bar stools and one hip top table. I get the sense this is more of an order to go spot. As a first timer, I picked the pepperoni pizza, green goddess salad and the oriecchette pasta. There's a red and white wine selection that you can purchase by the bottle as well. All the food and service was decent. I would say, the broccoli taste in the oriechetti pasta was a bit overpowering, that it took away from the sausage and other ingredients.
