There aren't many restaurant that I can say after taking 1 bite that I want to make a return trip. We came here for high quality handmade pasta and pizza and they definitely delivered. The Parlor is located in a mixed-use complex comprised of, from what I can tell, commercial and restaurant establishment. I remembered seeing Rye Goods moved in first but the prices were such a turn off we never partook. However news of the Parlor quickly spread for it's handmade Italian cuisine and it was immediately bookmarked. I'm so glad we finally got to try this place and ecstatic to find a restaurant we'd want to visit more than once. We came on a Friday lunch and there were 3 or 4 tables that were already taken when you enter the common food area. A quick digression but for the love of GOD please play some music in the complex because it's like being in a library its so freaking quiet. Can't even queef without someone noticing. So we ordered: -Fiore e Limone pizza -Sausage Orechette The food came out in a timely fashion and both were heavenly! The pizza dough was crispy, light, airy, chewy, and extremely thin crust. I've never had flavors such as this thrown on a pizza before so it was a really good experience. The lemon was refreshing, the thinly sliced squash tasty, and that burrata, homemade I think? It was a lot thinner than other burrata's I've had but still good. Eat this one quick because that thin crust gets soggy with the juicy lemon juice dripping all over the place. Would definitely get a pizza again! The orechette was also really good. I again love how chewy the pasta was. The sauce in the pasta was decadent but really well balanced with the bitter green rapini. Would get this again BUT I do have to mention the sausage was on the salty side. They include a slice of homemade bread to mop up the sauce and that bread was perfectly dough, airy, and chewy. It was so good we bought a loaf home, only $8! The parlor is nestled in a nice multipurpose open air space that is Stafford Prime. This hidden gem is somewhat of an oasis in an industrial area. The pizza is on the pricier side, but taste and quality is not bad. My favorite is the funghi. The best part, more so than the food itself, is the space and ambience. I am sad to even be writing this review, but I am so disappointed that they would box up a burnt pizza. I have been to the parlor two times before this and enjoyed their food a lot. The last time I ordered and fell in love with the lemon pizza. So much so that I ordered it online to go this time, I picked it out without looking in the box, and when I got home, I was so sad to it was so burnt it was inedible. Yes I know artisan pizzas are usually slightly charred and I don't have a problem with that but this was burnt beyond char. The prices are not inexpensive as the food is high quality and tastes very fresh typically, and that almost makes it worse to see such great ingredients go to waste this time. Unfortunately I am not that close by to return it either so it's just going in the garbage. Next time, please make sure the char vs burnt line hasn't been crossed. Was in the area and decided to check this place out based on Yelp reviews. Parking was easy and there was a lot of it. My fiancé and I ordered two pizza- Margarita and Pepperoni. We also ordered a bottle on wine. The downside to ordering alcohol is having to drink/eat in the small area where you order. The pizza came out crispy and delicious, a little oily, but I'm sure that is related to a better quality/full fat mozzarella being used. We ordered the Nebbiolo wine and it was a very mild wine. Feels much like an Italian table wine. Once we finished our wine, we went to the open space to relax and drink some water. Overall a decent place that I'd return to. read more

A hidden little gem! Stopped by on Friday evening and waited about 15 minutes in line. There's ample indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a more causal setting. My husband and I shared a meat lovers pizza (secret menu) and citrus fruit salad. It took a little bit for our food to come out, but well worth the wait. The salad was very refreshing and paired well along with the meaty pizza. The pizza was more of an Italian style, soft in the middle with a light airy crust. Perfect size for two people! My recent visit to The Parlor came after relentless encouragement from acquaintances who raved about The Parlor. It was clear that I needed to see for myself the reasons for their frequent patronage. The Parlor is a difficult place to describe for many reasons. Its location is surrounded by commercial businesses and does not have the traditional seating one would find at most restaurant. Rather, it is a spot that offers an array of menu options for lunch or dinner with an abundance of seating once you've ordered that is delivered to you in a semi take-out approach. Yes, for first timers, it's different, but this is what makes it a pretty solid concept. The team there is extremely pleasant and helpful as you scan their menu options. You'll see some traditional items that are offered with some unique twists. On this occasion, I chose a Citrus Salad and one of their specials which was a meat lover's Pizza. While I was hoping for another specialty, Birria pizza, I missed out by a day. To have with my pizza, I chose one of their canned beer options, an IPA, which was one of 4 from which to choose. I noticed that they also had several white and red wine options along with many non-alcoholic offerings. You should note that anyone choosing an alcoholic option must consume the alcohol in the small dining area where the food is prepared and ordered. Those choosing a non-alcoholic option can order their food and have it delivered in the to you in the larger seating area located a few steps away located in another section of the building. The food was prepared fairly quickly with the salad arriving first. The Citrus Salad was served with a good balance of fruit, Arugula, and dressing. While my first inclination is to order a traditional lettuce based salad, I pivoted with this one as it was prepared in such a way that the Arugula was not over powering and was served with good quantities of fruit. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Definitely a salad that I would order again. The pizza arrived and it was piping hot and was every bit as tasty as it looked. The crust was handmade and cooked perfectly in a wood heated brick oven. It was topped very generously and had a good balance of meat and spices which made this a highly recommended pizza. It's obvious that that put a lot of thought into their dishes. I learned that the wood burning ovens are heated with almond wood which seems pretty unique, but besides this, the two items that I had were very well balanced in approaches and flavor. I hope that my next visit will include some of their traditional dinner entrees which looked very appealing. The Parlor has a unique casual style that is a little different from a traditional sit-down restaurant, but don't let that deter you. My experience with the food was positive and the atmosphere is one that is upbeat and a place that you can gather with friends with seating indoors and outdoors. A curious case, indeed. I have been wanting to try the Parlor for a while, and finally got around to it! Starting off with the good: huge parking lot and plenty of parking in the evening. You may think you're in the wrong place, but you're not! Head to the back. Ordering online was super easy and efficient. My estimated wait was 15-20 min, but I was texted when my order was done at about 10 min. The gal at the front was cheery. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a funghi pizza. My husband enjoyed the pepperoni! Now to the bad... I love mushrooms. I love pizza. I love mushroom (ok funghi) pizza. I took one bite and was immediately...shocked. It was an overpowering taste that I had never had before. Fragrant, I guess? I ran to the website to read the description in case there was some wild spice I was encountering for the first time. I thought it was the kale, so I ripped it all off. Took another bite: crunch. Overpowering Fragrance. Crunch. No mushroom taste could ever be found. Turns out it was the peppercorn. And I'm not talking a few of the black ones here and there. I'm talking...dark green caper-lookin' balls everywhere. I tried peeling them off, only to find more. Embedded in the cheese. Burrowed in the crust. I tried to pick them off one by one. Impossible! I knew I'd need to cite my sources, so I counted. How many peppercorns could a peppercorn corn? Apparently 85+. No lie. They were everywhere. All at once. Taunting me. I'm truly convinced the chef must have had a bucket and accidentally slipped and all of them spilled on my pizza inadvertently. How could this 'za be so...bad?! I've never wasted a pizza in my life but this one was impossible to salvage and was a waste at just under $20. I can't imagine this is normal, but I absolutely would never order it as is again. I saw another review about the funghi falling short esp with the peppercorn, but this was truly next level. Chef, wherever you are - I'm so sorry about your slip and fall and that every peppercorn you had in stock landed on my pizza. Onwards and upwards! read more

Oh man I wanted to love this place so badly but unfortunately I had a subpar experience on my first visit to The Parlor. First of all, I love the concept. It's a casual quick-service Italian restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring out your food to you. Prices are reasonable and there is plenty of indoor/outdoor seating in an open warehouse that connects directly to The Parlor. Sometimes you don't always want to sit at a nice white table cloth re$taurant and The Parlor fits that bill. I ordered the funghi pizza ($16) -- and while the bread was very good, it was over-seasoned with pepper. Because of this, it was very one-dimensional and all the pepper over-powered the little mushroom that was on the pizza (see photo -- practically only half the pizza had mushrooms...). If I order a funghi pizza I expect a decent amount of mushroom and at the very least not over-seasoned. It was more of a black petter pizza than a mushroom pizza. I also ordered the tonnarelli pasta ($12) and it was undercooked! The pasta was not al dente at all and had a bit of a hard rocky bite to it. Not particulay pleasant and super disappointing. I'm not sure if they were just having an off night or if they were rushing through orders given it was a Friday evening, but it didn't seem too crowded. I really wanted to love this place because I love the idea of quick-service Italian so I'm inspired to give it a second chance down the road. Rating is 3.5/5 Our fav dishes were Rigatoni Bolognese and Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe. The pizzas on the other hand were decent (Margherita) but we would not order the Fiore e Limone pizza again. The prices are relatively affordable but I don't think I would come back to "dine-in." The seating area they have seems to be shared with the complex and is pretty/well decorated but extremely quiet and unnerving. It would help if they could play music! Service was slow, the food took about 30+ minutes to arrive. Our waitress was however very nice and accommodating. I began traveling as a kid with my parents at a young age. As an adult I travel on the west coast for business. Finding a good restaurant is not always easy. As pizza would go, it is one of my childhood faves.I admit I am a pizza snob - judgmental in what I put into my mouth and either savor or spit-out. I have tried many pies from New York, Chicago, Texas, Florida, London, Reno, NV and Arizona. I can tell you in at least five of those states mentioned have I found a delicious slice. I am now adding one more In California. Why did I decide that this is the place I wanted to try? Honestly, it was near where I was staying, and it was a brick oven pizza, which tastes great if cooked correctly. The Parlor reminds me of that hole in the wall restaurant where you find small trinkets of yumminess. The name fits the size of this open kitchen model. It feels like a hip Italian bistro. The atmosphere is casually bodacious with some great hopping music. The aroma of the food smells wonderful. The staff are war, friendly and smile. I give high marks for their customer service. For a smaller restaurant the menu is robust. The choices of salads, sandwiches, pizza, and beverages to include beer and wine were favorable. Finally, I ordered a mushroom and olive pizza and I would recommend it. The ingredients is perhaps what excited me the most. The mushrooms, green olives and nutty flavor along with basil, mozzarella and olive oil intrigued my palate. A really interesting concept with a good menu and lots of potential, but execution not 100% for me. Overall, I'd say The Parlor gets a 3.5 for me and I'd be interested in trying something else from their menu if it were to expand. This place is incredibly lowkey and hidden and I doubt you would find this place on your own. There is a separate lounging/dining area that's super aesthetic and peaceful. I ordered online for takeout so I'm not sure if they offer any formal service but definitely seems like you order food at the counter first then find your own space to sit. I only took a small glance but it's a very spacious area and sad to see it so empty. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, Orecchiette pasta with sausage and rapini, and their daily special pizza which was a cacio e pepe. Portions for these dishes were generous given the price point and the fresh ingredients used. The rigatoni bolognese used short rib instead of traditional ground meat. I was sos surprised by the generous portion and large chunks of tender shortrib meat in this dish. Super tender and meaty in a tomato sauce. The sauce was pretty chunky and lots of tomato bits. Unfortunately the sauce was too salty to enjoy and had to stop eating halfway. The rigatoni pasta itself was great and tasted fresh. This bolognese was not heavy as others I've tried and like I said, it's more of a tomato sauce in my opinion. Next was the orecchiette pasta which was a bit more disappointing for me. The pasta again was well cooked and didn't taste like boxed pasta. This pasta was again too salty for my taste and this is coming from someone that adds several salt packets to their movie popcorn. I liked the variety of textures from the crispy sausage and rapini which is a kind of broccoli. Not sure what sauce this was supposed to be. The menu labels it as a pomodoro which should be tomato based? What I got instead was a kind of creamy/oily sauce and no hint of tomato. I added shrimp which were fresh and plump, but they were a tad overcooked. Lastly, the cacio e pepe pizza. From the looks, I was impressed by the crust and leoparding. There was little crispiness on this pizza and it was more soft and fluffy. If it had a nice crispy crust it would have made a difference. I also didn't find the pizza to have the main flavor I expect to taste with cacio e pepe. The robust pepper flavor was missing or masked by the strong mushroom, truffle oil, and prosciutto flavors. I also would have liked for the mushrooms to be roasted maybe? The mushrooms retained a raw flavor which I didn't think work. The limited amount of service I received when picking up my order was nice. I hope I came on an off day because I see a lot of potential here. The ingredients they're using are fresh and the preparation is well crafted while still feeling gourmet and casual. I wish the menu and descriptions better reflected what I got and tasted. Finally got to try this place and we'll definitely be back again! Excellent service and hospitality. Fun vibe inside and feels like everyone enjoys what they're doing there. We ordered two different pizzas and a salad. Salad was great and I think we ordered the last special of the one that's spicy and comes with hot honey on top. The peppers were actually pretty spicy for me so I didn't eat them but it was the better pizza between the two. Their tomato sauce is BOMB. We tried asking for a side of it to dip the crust but by that time they ended up closing their kitchen early for the night so BEWARE if you're trying to come 30mins to closing that you actually might be turned away or they may not have a pizza in stock. Kind of a bummer but I guess they're doing pretty well and don't mind closing up early if they want. They're not open weekends at the moment and I'd recommend ordering the pizza extra crispy. read more

As always, I was craving some good pizza and salad and thanks to fellow Yelpers, I discovered this hidden gem! It's literally in a business complex like area and can be hard to miss but your trusty gps will get you there and to a large parking area with plenty of spaces. The inside looks like a market cafe where they sell Italian sodas and drinks in the fridge and behind the counter is the classic wood fired brick oven. We ordered their popular Guanciale pizza and the antipasto salad. We also added pepperoni and Italian sausage to the pizza and man it was flavor overload! Imagine all the flavors of pickled Italian jar olives and peppers tossed onto a perfectly crispy but chewy crust. The crust was so good and it's usually the first I toss but this was one wood fire charred bubbly crust I actually inhaled and almost enjoyed more than the pizza itself. The best part was the cheese as it wasn't too greasy and tasted like a solid quality fresh mozzarella. It tasted as if all the ingredients were straight up imported from Italy, so good! They even have rows of chopped wood for their ovens under the bar stools which was cool. The salad was also really good and flavorful. Appreciated how it wasn't too heavy on the dressing and it was a really nice mix of fresh lettuce gems, the best mozzarella I've ever had, and a whole bunch of other goodness like fresh herbs. Everything tasted so fresh and herby it was practically like farm to table. It was a lot of food but wasn't too heavy. The Fiori e Limone was a surprise- meyer lemons and squash with fiori di latte cheese (which was very delicate but quite runny). The dough was really tasty, but even as we were halfway through the pizza, we felt like we were being pranked with the toppings- it's just so far out! Pretty much like pizza topped with lemons and milk lol! So, we really enjoyed the pizza but we wouldn't get that specific one again. Definitely would return to get other stuff on the menu. The drink and wine display were so cute, look at all those colorful flavored soda water! I ordered the orecchiette ($15), and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was creamy but not heavy, and the bread crumbs were a savory crunch bites throughout. The chilis on top gave the dish some acidity and spice; I believe they were pickled. It did make me bloat btw so careful if you have ibs. My boyfriend ordered the rigatoni bolognese ($15), and he really enjoyed it. Savory, saucy and yummy. The bread for both dishes were soft and fluffy, and great dipping in the leftover sauce. We only wish that there was a little more sausage and ground beef in the sauce. Ever since the pasta place in the Union Market (rest in peace) closed, there hasn't been anything in the Tustin Legacy area for good quality quick service pasta. That all changed with the Parlor! Tucked away in an office building, I found out about the place when I was going to the bakery next door. I kept my eye on the place and went there as soon I saw they were doing their soft opening. I am a huge lover of pasta, and while Orange County is lacking with good pasta places, I have had my fair share of really great Italian eats elsewhere in SoCal. I've been to the Parlor at least half a dozen times now and have tried most if not all of the pastas on their main menu. I also got to sample a bunch of their pizzas during their grand opening, which were good but I'm going to focus on talking about their pastas and soup. The pastas at the Parlor are quite good, but are for a certain type of person. If you don't like your pasta al dente and want enough to take home, this is not the place for you. Do not be surprised if you are not stuffed after ordering a pasta dish. Every dish is under $20 and is made with extremely fresh and high quality ingredients, so dishes are priced accordingly. In particular I like the rigatoni bolognese. The beef short rib that makes the ragu is cooked perfectly and is so delicious. There are a few other dishes I like that have that show up on their daily specials menu, but of course it makes it tricky to recommend any because they are extremely limited time offerings, only showing up for a day or two. If you have Instagram, I recommend giving their account a follow because that's how I am made aware of their specials. Thankfully I live close to this place, otherwise there would have been times I missed out of something amazing. Speaking of something amazing, the inspiration for this review was their soup from a few nights ago. It seemed like their take on minestrone soup, with noodles and vegetables mixed together. I realized, despite being a soup lover, that I had never tried their soup. I noticed that the noodles used for the soup was vesuvio, which is a volcano-inspired pasta shape. That was enough to make me try it, as I love crazy pasta shapes. I unfortunately did not take a picture, but the soup was absolutely delicious and very filling. I was so sad I did not try this one earlier. This soup plus their to die for focaccia bread made a perfect meal. And I had enough to eat another meal with! This soup was so good it even made me eat kale! Truly a spectacular item that I only wish was on the menu permanently. Today I went again to try a different soup that was on the specials menu, a butternut squash one. In the past two years I have become a huge fan of squash, and adore it as a topping on almost anything. Sadly, this soup did not do it for me as much as the previous one. It was a pureed soup, meaning it was basically the same texture throughout. It was topped with a dollop of crème fraiche but that was it. Not only was this soup a lot less interesting, it was also a lot less filling. In cases like this I think different types of soups should be priced differently, but both of the soups I had were $9 each. The bread was still delicious, as always. I do wish they had a bigger permanent menu, which included a few more pasta dish options as well as a soup or two. In particular a cream sauce would be a welcome addition. They should also consider adding more gluten free options besides the salads. These pasta sauces are so good it's a shame that they don't offer a gluten free pasta shape as an option! As for the location, as I mentioned it is in a weird spot, but there is a huge seating area right outside of the place, meaning you don't have to sit right inside the restaurant. Which is good because when I went today they had a speaker blasting inside! It wasn't super busy as I came at dinner time but I'm glad I had other seating options. At lunch this building does get crowded since it has become a popular place to study or work. All that said, I think this is a great spot to check out if you are looking for some Italian food in this area that isn't a fancy restaurant. If anything I will keep coming back for their bread, and I'll be keeping my eye out for that one soup! read more

The Parlor is a really cute little spot with great options, a nice ambiance, & really kind staff. It's in a space shared with Rye Goods & a really large room seating -- great both for eating & doing work. They have a few seats inside their respective space & we ordered beer/wine so we sat near the register. Megan is a star! Her vibrant energy makes the experience that much better, Megan, I appreciate you! We went with the Rigatoni Bolognese ($15), Funghi e Cavolo pizza ($16), a glass of the Rose ($12), & a Peroni pale ale ($5) I'm a huge mushroom lover so I knew this would not disappoint. The mozzarella is amazing, the mushrooms were cooked to perfection -- it's everything I want in a pizza & I didn't feel bogged down afterwards, the ideal situation! 8.8/10 The rose was nice, pleasant for a Friday afternoon lunch but nothing special! The Rigatoni Bolognese was great, really nice portion size, & the short rib was perfectly tender. 8/10 I look forward to coming back & trying their paninis & a few of their daily specials. read more

Stopped by for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. The Rigatoni Bolognese was tasty and would definitely order again. Portions were okay relative to the price but I think the taste and quality make up for it. The eating space is nice but there is one big negative about The Parlor. Why is the music so freaking loud inside the store itself?!? I couldnt stay in the store and had to ask my friend to order for me. Its not a club and theres just two small tables within the store. The music volume is so high that it surely causes hearing damage. I dont understand how the workers can work in such a environment without ear protection. It must be a OSHA violation. I dont see myself going back there anytime soon unless they address the issue. My friend did ask the worker but they said they couldnt change the volume. I guess order at ur own risk or bring some ear plugs. read more

The food at this place was amazing. I got the short rib pasta, and a pizza, and some really unusual desserts. They're in a new food court, so it's not that busy yet. The quality of the food was amazing and the variety of drinks that they have is very nice. I really enjoyed the customer service. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Great tasting, savory and delicious food. The staff were really nice and accommodating to allergy needs; we greatly appreciate that. Ambiance of a food hall with both indoor and outdoor seatings. Highly recommended and we can't wait to come back to try other dishes and pizzas. read more
