I am BLOWN AWAY by the Parlor. So I made a pickup order on doordash because I needed a quick dinner after being out. The order was ready super quick which was amazing...but I got stuck out unfortunately. I watched as my order was marked ready for pick up, then like half an hour passed and I still wasn't anywhere close to being able to leave. I kinda frantically called the restaurant in case there was anything they could do and omg the woman who picked up was SO kind. She was super friendly through the call even though I was asking with what could be an annoying request. She said she'd see if maybe they could reheat or remake my order to be picked up half an hour from then. When we were able to pick it up, again they were super friendly. The orechiette and tonnarelli were fresh and warm still :D and they were DELICIOUS. The pasta was al dente to the point where every chew just made me happy. No grocery store pasta could ever even dream of being this good. And the bowls were saucy so i could dip my bread too. I love the variety in my pasta. Veggies, sausage, breadcrumbs, seasoned perfectly (a tiny bit too salty for me but I can write that off so easily given everything else). I added oyster mushrooms to my pasta too and I'm VERY happy about my choice. Great addition. It's the only fast casual Italian place I can think of in the Irvine tustin area that is good and doesn't drown their food in sauce, salt or oil. Friendly to boot. The pizza at The Parlor is excellent. Light and fluffy crust, top notch ingredients, the perfect size for one person to eat in a single sitting. The only slightly odd thing at The Parlor is that all alcohol needs to be consumed in the little area where you order food, not in their larger dining area next door. Of course, on a busy Friday night, there are more people wanting a drink with their pizza than available seating. I'd definitely come back here, the pizza was great. read more

Absolutely Phenomenal! My first time here for lunch. Note: It's around the rear of a large industrial looking building. Plentiful parking too. Look for the Neon sign in the window. I was greeted warmly after announcing it was my first visit. The host / server directed me to the daily specials on the counter chalk board. I was there for their Pizza! I immediately saw the wood burning oven and was ready to be Wowed! I ordered at the counter, having previously decided after reviewing Yelp, that the Sausage and Peppers Pie was what I wanted to try. It was promptly prepared and delivered piping hot to my table next door in an immense dining hall area. It was pure Deliciousness and packed with flavor! So freakin good and at a really reasonable price point. The space is a little strange and the food takes a little while to come out but it's super worth it. The green goddess salad is delightful and the cacio et Pepe was some of the best I've had. The other pasta my daughter tried she enjoyed as well. It comes with yummy bread. Instagram has skyrocketed their popularity - but now they can't keep up and are very overwhelmed and understaffed. Pizza dough was out by 5pm. Ordered pasta. His took 45 min to arrive, mine took 55 min. Food appears to comes out by dish, not by ticket. So four rigatoni's will be ready in a row, then three citrus salad's. All going piecemeal to different tables. Looking around, most tables have only one person with their food while their companions are waiting 15+ minutes for theirs to arrive. I ordered the paccheri alla Norma - full of chili flakes and pretty spicy, which was surprising since chili flakes are not listed on description on the menu. Staff seemed nice, but clearly operations are disjointed and they can't handle the volume. Will be back to try their pizza... in a few months when hopefully the Instagram craze has cooled off. read more

The pasta was very al dente, which is my preference, and it absorbed the creamy, salty, very peppery sauce, making the dish well-balanced. It's hard to find good cacio e pepe, and many places that do it right are fancy sit-down restaurants. Great food and service. It's a small place, but plenty of seating opposite in an open cafeteria setting. They give you a number and bring your food out hot. I've had their pizza, focaccia bread and sandwiches. Come hungry because for me, the portions are large and reheating a sandwich doesn't really cut it for me. I could definitely split a sandwich with someone and be full enough. They use fresh ingredients in all their dishes. Been there 4x already and will keep coming back. It was our first time at The Parlor and we have nothing but great things to say about it! Super casual, lively ambience and very helpful gracious staff! The food was amazing; we had 3 pizza's and 1 pasta dish. A couple of glasses of wine and then some homemade cookies. The pasta was Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and was amazing. Homemade pasta cooked Al Dente. So good with a wedge of bread to mop up the sauce. Pizza was Guanciale, Pepperoni and the best one of all - the Fiori e Limone. We normally wouldn't have ordered a pizza with toppings like this, but it will be our first choice for sure next time! The glasses for the wine were super cool and hip. Just like the entire place. You can grab a table or high chair in the part where you order pizza or you can grab a table number and head to the large open seating room adjacent to it. Outdoor seating and comfy sofas too. Really wanted to love this place and get decent Italian, especially pastas but the sauces didn't work for me. No pizza available the night I went. The plating of the food looked super nice based on what I could see of dishes coming out. But the sauces were similar and IMHO, less tasty than North Italia. The price point is good for what was served, but again, I don't mind paying more for tastier food. Lines were long so expect to wait ~30 minutes for food on a Friday night. I did takeout so after placing my order, I went shopping at the District. Servers were excellent, despite how busy it was. I hope that this place is successful since it's a cool concept and it's good value for money - it's just not to my personal taste. read more

So stoked that I discovered this new Tustin gem! Located in a somewhat industrial area of Tustin on Red Hill but very easy to find. My husband ordered the rigatoni bolognese, and it was absolutely delicious and the pasta cooked perfectly. The antipasto salad was probably one of the best salads I've ever had. Packed with delicious salami, mozzarella, artichoke hearts and tomatoes, just insane flavor. We also got the lemon squash pizza, just DEVINE with the perfect crunch. The pickled onions they have in their fridge grab and go were very herbaceous with a nice kick! We got everything to go, but the dining area across the way is adorable and very modern. Short review: Wow! Longer review: wife and I came here around 5pm on a Friday, at literally the perfect time because right after we ordered and a ton of people came flooding in. We got the pepperoni pizza, the rigatoni, and one of the salads (which we didn't really need ultimately). The pizza was by far the best pizza I've had in the OC since moving here this year. It's just on a different level, so it's not fair to compare it to a delivery oriented pizza place anyway. The crust is to die for, yummmm... so soft, with the right amount of chewy. The rigatoni was wonderful as well, but not a good pairing with the pizza specifically--they were best enjoyed one after the other we felt, which was just fine. They have wine and some beers in a cooler, which you have to drink inside (where there is limited seating, there is a bigger food court seating area across the way) so be sure to come at the right time if you want to drink, or get takeout. But the pizza is so good you won't need to drink anyway! We'll definitely be back, and often. read more

Came on a Monday for lunch and the location is very easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The woman taking orders was so kind and very accommodating. She even let me try the mozzarella before ordering a pizza! They make all their bread, dough, sauce, cheese, gelato, etc., in house! The quality was outstanding. The Parlor is hidden away in a large building on Red Hill next to Rye Goods. The pepperoni pizza, cacio e pepe, and green goddess salad were all delicious. There's limited seating inside the restaurant but there's a cool open space right next to it where they'll also bring your food out to you. The service was great and the staff was very friendly.
