This place has great food, I mean I really love the concept and love the flavors. This CAVA is located in the Crossroads shopping center. There have been a few restaurants in the same location over the years. I really enjoy the food here, but everything else is not so great. Here is what happened to me. My plan was to share my bowl with someone since we were not that hungry. She gave me two scoops of rice, so I asked for more, "Can I please have one more scoop of rice?" This is when things got weird. The server said that it will cost more for more rice. How much? One dollar for each extra scoop of rice! What???? Are you kidding me?? There is not another place that I know of that would charge me one dollar for an extra scoop of rice. The minimum is two dollars added to the bill. I then noticed there were ten employees and only five customers in the restaurant. There is a lot of standing around. I wish someone would handle the drink station. I paid the two dollars for two more scoops of rice, and proceeded to get my iced tea. It tasted like water. I complained. It was clear and not brown. Another server told me I had chosen the wrong drink, not the black tea. Excuse me? I showed her the tea is not brewed correctly. They walked away from me, and said nothing. A few minutes later, I went up to the manager and asked about the tea. He said it would take at least 45 minutes to an hour. No apology. This place serves great food but is a hostile environment for its customers. Just so I am clear and you know what I was disappointed in, this is what I wanted to hear: Sure, you can have an extra scoop of rice because I know a happy customer will always return with more people. We are very sorry about the tea, would you like a refund? Would you mind waiting, we will put a rush on a new batch of tea? Can I get you something else? This place has great food. The concept is a winner. The execution is horrible. They have created a hostile environment for customers. This service is beyond bad. Anything extra costs a lot. In the future, I will head to Woodbury for my CAVA.

I visited this location of Cava and left dissapointed. It's located in the Crossroads shopping center. Food: We ordered a chicken bowl with basmati rice to share. The chicken tasted good as well as the rice and toppings They were fresh. The selection of toppings was great. However, I noticed that the black tea was very watery. The person I went with informed the staff but was told that it would take 45 minutes to an hour to brew a new batch of tea. This dissapointed me . Service: The employees here are not very friendly. In addition to our issue with the black tea, we were charged $2 for two extra scoops of rice. Ambiance: The inside is nice and there is plenty of seating.

Food: Build your bowl (Greens and Grains) Price: ~$13.20 Overall: No words can describe how much I love Cava. This is so healthy and yummy that I literally have no self-control and most likely will not have any leftovers. I build my bowl, romaine lettuce, saffron rice with chicken, red pepper hummus, harrisa, tzatziki, all the toppings (except for olives) and on top is Garlic Dressing and Skhug. NORCAL NEEDS THIS DELICIOUS MEDITERRANEAN FOOD!

This was the first time for four of us at CAVA, and we were all impressed. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. The person who helped us answered all my questions and made great recommendations based on our preferences, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

I have told many friends that Cava is superior to Chipotle in many ways. The assortment and freshness of the ingredients consistently inspires me to eat healthier and in a more colorful manner. I truly want to meal prep in a way that would allow me to stimulate a Cava bowl. It is a bucket list item of mine to do. The first time I had gone to Cava I loved how you could get unique flavors from mixing the different beverages they offer. You can put together a fun concoction. Inside there's a good amount of seating, and plenty more outside that is unique to the Woodbury Town Center plaza. Grateful for the people who make this place happen.

Great spot, still delicious but portions have gotten smaller Cover Restaurant continues to be one of my go-to places because the food is always flavorful and consistent. The quality hasn't changed at all -- everything still tastes amazing. The only thing I've noticed is that the portions have definitely gotten significantly smaller compared to previous visits. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's noticeable. Also, just a heads up: it gets very busy around 5 PM, so arriving a bit earlier (or later) will give you a much smoother experience. Overall, still a great restaurant with delicious dishes -- I just hope they bring back the fuller portions!

Excellent healthy food, a great ambiance, and friendly customer service make this one of our favorite places. Everything is fresh, delicious, and consistently good. It's become our go-to spot whenever we're looking for a healthy and satisfying meal. Highly recommended!

Ive lived next to Cava majority of my life and I never ate here before. It wasnt until recently my boyfriend and one of my friends were raving about cava and they were craving it. Made me want one too just from seeing their reaction to the food. We didnt end up getting it that day and i havent tried to get it since but today i was on my way home and realized i live right next to Cava so i decided to drop in for the very first time. Ive seen memes online about Cava being a better version of Chipotle (during the whole chipotle boycott bc of portions), and funny enough the 2 stores are right next to each other. Safe to say I do like the variety better at cava and i love the pita chips! I came in around 12:15pm, near lunch rush hour but the line moved pretty quickly, a lot of people dining in. Its pretty casual. Good for grabbing a quick bite. The workers were super nice and guided me through creating my own bowl. Shoutout to Kaz and Adam for running a smooth operation over here!

The ingredients usually hit that line in the bowl

We go to cava twice a week, different locations, and the portions are always consistent. Today, here at this Cava, the portion is half of what we normally get. We definitely did not get what we paid for. When I tried to bring it up to one of the employees he made a comment about when we get half portions of the chicken which the protein was skimpy too but before that the rice and the greens were barely there in both our bowls. AND I actually paid for a full portion of chicken and add on sweet potato and they served it as if I didn't pay for extra. Last weekend we were here, it was fine. We won't be back here especially since we tried to remedy it and bring it up and we just got deer in the headlights basically. To top it off the food was nasty. The sweet potato was so stale and hard that we had to spit it out couldn't even chew it. Had no rice. Something else in the mix tasted spoiled and the chicken was burned.

Amazing service by Polo , Faith, Richard, and Andre. Love going to Cava so much it really brings out my day.

Faith is so nice and gave us wonderful service !!! Great location!!! Wonderful overall!!

If I can give 0 stars, I would. Always look at your order when you do take out! Salmon was burnt and not edible. Who in the right mind would serve this?

Salad with a wide variety of toppings and customizable options. Spicy Lamb + Avocado was a good healthy meal. The free side pita is a nice bonus, though they sometimes run out.

It's pretty far from home, but I…read morecould easily work it into the flight path so to speak, between the Tustin REI and 17th Street in Costa Mesa. Located in a small but busy plaza, HOK is a small, potentially packed restaurant with a few tables outside. About half full mid afternoon on a Saturday, i got a table and quickly made a decision to try the combination plate with a chicken and kubideh kabob, with rice. Next time I'll branch out, but this first sample provided much pleasure and evidence that they can't do anything wrong (except be closed when I'm craving more ;) A few minutes after placing my order the warm flatbread came out with butter. Comparatively, many other Persian restaurants use Lavash sections, so I enjoyed the contrast. The neighboring table of four received their plates one at a time, so I figured the kitchen and grill were probably also fairly constricted like the lobby. Nonetheless, it didn't take long and the generous, colorful portions were a sight to behold! The first thing I noticed was how moist and tender both kabobs were. Not burnt or dry anywhere on either type. That's attributable to the elevated method of grilling, but here the chef has it down to a science. The second observation came later when I didn't feel excessively thirsty, or bloated, ir dehydrated. Some restaurants really brine the meat while marinating, but here it's another level of perfection. Good service and a reasonable price, although the menu prices might be behind current food costs. Still, it was totally worth it. I didn't have a way to keep leftovers in a safe temperature range, so I ate everything. Full, but not stuffed.

I had a hard time hearing the employee, so I politely said, "I'm sorry?" several times because I genuinely couldn't understand what he was asking. Instead of being patient or trying to speak more clearly, he became visibly irritated. His tone became increasingly rude, and he raised his voice at me as if I was the problem. Despite the poor phone connection, I managed to complete my order. At the end of the call, he abruptly said, "It will be ready in 20 minutes," and hung up on me without a "thank you," "goodbye," or even asking if I needed anything else. I've never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful customer service. The issue was clearly with the phone connection, not with me, yet I was treated as though I was inconveniencing him. The interaction left me so upset that I called back and canceled my order. There are plenty of restaurants that value their customers and know how to treat people with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I won't be returning.

Ordering is entirely self-service via a digital kiosk, with no staff on hand to assist you. 3. There are no bathrooms available anywhere on-site. Regarding the food, it was just okay-- a bit underwhelming, especially given that Lebanese cuisine is typically so flavorful. The chicken was dry, the hummus lacked depth, and the rice was bland.
