YES, YES AND AGAIN YES!!!! We came here because I saw online that on Wednesdays they do a 8.99 burger WITH an egg on it! We were skeptical but wow were we pleasantly surprised!! My Husband has never had a burger with an egg on it and now this place has completely changed his mind!! One of the best burgers I've ever had!!! Jon was an awesome server!! Very attentive and on top of everything we needed!! This place used to be the old rock and brews, but I am so glad it changed to Villa Haven!!! Hubby and I came here for drinks on a Saturday evening, as we've been curious about Villa Haven for a while now. It was not busy at all, maybe one other party at the bar and a family who was dining in. Our waitress/bartender was quick to serve us - but on round 2, we asked for the Pink Lemonade Hard Seltzer that was advertised and she seemed lost. She asked if we wanted to try something else that wasn't a hard seltzer and we kindly declined. However, we noticed the Pink Lemonade Hard Seltzer was on the side opposite of the fridge she opened. This seemed kind of disappointing that the worker didn't know where their own products were at. So we got the Hard Seltzer on tap (I think it was either Brewery X or Truly) and I got the Yuzu Lychee which was delicious. When it came time to pay our bill, there were now two servers at the bar, and 2-3 just standing around talking and not paying attention. No new parties entered while we were there - and it took forever to grab their attention that we wanted the check. I had to personally walk over to let them know. Yes, it may have been a bad day, but I feel it was slow enough to where we shouldn't have been ignored. I would probably give them another shot - as the Pineapple Margarita was really good. 3 stars for now - until next time. I hope to be able to update my review in the near future. read more

Great service and atmosphere. Very lively and every table is having fun and singing on a Friday night. Samir the manager was great help at getting us a table and make sure we're taken care of. Drinks are tasty and great price. The worst experience I have ever had. My friends and I reserved a table for the World Cup watch party, and unfortunately, there was a significant lack of communication regarding the establishment's minimum spending policy. We were not informed that the $55 minimum charge per person excluded hookah and alcoholic beverages. According to the staff, the minimum only applied to food and non-alcoholic drinks. When I attempted to order additional food to meet the minimum requirement, our waitress informed us that each person was only allowed to order one food item. This left many of us confused as to how we were expected to satisfy the minimum charge. In addition, there were extra service fees and taxes of approximately $15 per person. When we tried to discuss these concerns with the owner, his response was dismissive, stating, "This is a business." Personally, I ordered a hookah, a Diet Coke, and a food plate to go. The food was extremely disappointing, a few pieces of shrimp with only a few spoonfuls of rice that looked like leftovers. One of my friends, who ordered only a single drink, ended up paying approximately $88. Our group consisted of 16-18 people. We ordered 7-8 hookahs, multiple alcoholic beverages, appetizers, food, and non-alcoholic drinks. Collectively, our orders should have easily satisfied the group's minimum spending requirements. Unfortunately, several people never received their food, some received incorrect orders, and others were served cold meals. The entire experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and frustrating. What made matters worse was that many other customers were also upset about the same issues. The situation escalated to the point where police were called, and customers were reportedly followed and confronted in the parking lot. Some guests were told the minimum spend was $40, while others were told it was $55, creating even more confusion and frustration. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. The lack of communication, poor customer service, inconsistent policies, and the owner's unwillingness to address concerns make this a place I cannot recommend. Speaking with management did not resolve anything, and it was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. read more

I attended a World Cup watch party and arrived after halftime. I was informed of the $55 set-menu minimum, but no one ever took my order or served me any food. The rest of our group paid because they ultimately received their meals, even if they had to take them to go. My friend and I were the only two who never received any food. One owner acknowledged that I had just arrived, had not ordered anything, and told me I did not have to pay. As we were leaving, another owner followed my friend and me into the parking lot and angrily confronted us over payment. As two women being followed outside by an angry owner after we had already been told we could leave, we felt harassed and intimidated. The situation became so uncomfortable that police who were already nearby spoke with everyone involved and ultimately told us we were free to leave. I have no issue with businesses enforcing their policies. My issue is being expected to pay for food I was never given the opportunity to order, receiving conflicting instructions from different owners, and then being followed into the parking lot. This was one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever had. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant based on how this situation was handled. read more

To my surprise, I had no idea that this was where the old Rock N' Brews used to be located. It's in a shopping center with plenty of parking, no need to worry about that! My friend and I came for lunch on a Friday at 12pm and there was maybe 2 other parties here and then us. We sat outside as it was a lovely day, but I think that turned out to be a bad decision as there was only 1 server working and it seemed that we were being neglected because we were outside. Times in between us ordering our drinks and appetizer and then entree was too far in between and we were never checked on during the meal. The best thing we ordered was the Dip Trio! HIGHLY recommend! They give you HUGE portions of hummus, tzatziki, and baba ghanoush. My only thing is I wish they provided more veggie sticks/pitas for the amount of dips they give you (as you can see, those dishes are DEEP). The garlic paste on my chicken & kofta meal tasted very bland/microwaved. The garlic paste was NOT what I was expecting and tasted more like oil and not fresh garlic. The chicken was decent as was the kofta, but the veggies were bland as well. My friend ordered the Mediterranean salad was highly disappointed in that is was supposed to come with mixed greens as it is easier for her to eat than iceberg and the waitress didn't seem to have an answer as to why it was made wrong. My friend also ask and confirmed if the chicken was like a chicken kabob and not just plain white chicken breast and asked if she can have the kabob chicken with the salad, and she did not get that. We did not each much of our entree and stuck with the appetizer. We might be going to a more authentic Mediterranean restaurant next time as this is more of a fusion restaurant with only a small section of Mediterranean food. read more

A fun new restaurant in the Tustin area. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center. They have a very large space for both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio was more crowded while we were there and was mostly occupied by people who were there for hookah in addition to their dining experience. We opted to sit inside, which was on the emptier side. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful with providing recommendations. The Santa Fe egg rolls are very good for sharing. The outside wasn't as crispy as I would have expected for an egg roll, but it was packed with ingredients in the middle and had a very delicious combination of flavors. The Philly Cheesesteak was good, but had less cheese than you would normally see in this type of sandwich. The meat was tender and was very enjoyable overall. The Kofta sandwich was packed with meat and had really good flavor. It was a lot of bread for the amount of filling and was a little bit on the dry side, but the meat itself was delicious. Both sandwiches came with a generous portion of fries which were nice and crispy. They have a very large menu, so I would definitely be interested in going back to try some of their other dishes as well. I'm a regular customer at Villa Haven, but after yesterday I made a decision not to go there anymore especially during the World Cup. We made reservations a week ago at the patio, and we made sure it's at the patio to have hookahs. When got there, they seated us close to the bar area and the place was over loaded with people, which is legally forbidden. There wasn't space for anyone to move. Waiters were passing food to customers over the tables because they couldn't pass between them. After debating with the owner "Sam", he agreed to seat us outside with a minimum charge of $55 without hookah just to sit and watch the game between Iran and Egypt, saying that this is "business" and that we shouldn't be upset about it. Of course we refused his offer and left to another place. This person is so greedy, manipulative, disrespectful and has no appreciation at all of his customers!! I've never been so angry and humiliated by a restaurant like yesterday! Note: We arrived 15 minutes earlier. Also, the staff said $40 minimum charge per person. My first time at Villa Haven. I met a girlfriend for lunch. I suggested 11:30am in case it was crowded. Surprisingly we were the only ones there for lunch. Surprisingly I say because the food was outstanding. We both ordered the same thing, Chicken Shawarma. It came with a delicious salad with red onions, black olives, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and a delicious dressing. The entree was generous and full of flavor. We both only ate half and just this moment I just finished it for dinner. Honestly I don't write many review but this was so tasty that it's worth doing. It's not much different than Rock n Brews that was in this location before. Which also wasn't very good. The menu is extensive but all the food seemed to be sub-par. I do appreciate that they added Mediterranean food to the menu, which I love! I ordered the Kafta sandwich but it was a disappointment. The bread was flavorless and too rough. The meat was just ok. For our appetizers we ordered the buffalo chicken wings and the stuffed pita. The stuffed pita was incredible. I will order that as my main meal next time. The buffalo chicken wings weren't very good so we won't be ordering those again. I was between 3 and 4 stars but what brought me to 3 stars was that the patio now has a smoking section! Which, let's be real, basically means the entire patio will now reek of cigarette smoke. I don't even want my children sitting outside in the non smoking section. So families, heads up about that. I don't think we will be back here anytime soon but we probably will end up back here just because it's so close to our home and there is usually never a dinner crowd. read more

We visited on Mother's Day, and unfortunately there were a few disappointing things about our experience. First, it was never mentioned before booking that there would be a mandatory $50 charge per person. Customers should be informed about this ahead of time. If the restaurant wants to ensure a minimum spend, it would be better to set a dine-in minimum order requirement and allow guests to choose what they want to order. No soft drinks or dessert included which other places do offer. The food quality also needs improvement. The tabbouleh was too salty and lacked flavor, and the fattoush had the same issue. The portion sizes should also better match the pricing, especially with the required $50 per person charge. Another thing to be aware of is that the restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity. In my opinion, customers should be able to decide the amount they would like to tip based on their experience. read more

Decided to try this new restaurant that friends recommended to meet at since it was new in the area and we both love Mediterranean cuisine. We sat outside which had a nice patio and the hookah is outside (for my friends). We started with the dip trio which turned out to be my favorite. The dip trio came with hummus, baba ganouch (eggplant dip), and a cucumber dip. I decided to do appetizers for my order and my friends ordered the hamburger which is a must order, Mediterranean chicken and salmon. The server took our orders and served us quickly. The hamburger was flavorful, juicy and had an egg on top not to mention large portion. The salmon was cooked perfectly and spiced to my friend's liking. This place usually appears to be empty when I drive by it on my way to one of the many gems in Tustin. Against my better judgment, I stopped in for lunch today. I regret my decision. The place is roomy, but it was virtually empty when I walked in at lunch time. I think there were about four people in the place plus me. I should have bounced, but I didn't. I ordered the tri-tip soft tacos the menu describes as follows: "artisan tortillas, avocado, marinated red onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, salsa, black beans & lime." They were not good. The meat seemed to me to be overdone and tough with a weird color to it. Let's put it this way: the highlight of the plate was the black beans. When my server asked how is every thing, I explained the meat seemed overdone. She gamely offered to bring me another plate, but I declined. I just wanted to finish up and leave. I suspect Villa Haven is not long for this world. There are no office buildings nearby to drive a good lunch business. For the same reason, I suspect Villa Haven will meet the same fate as its predecessors - Lone Star Steakhouse and Rock and Brews. Needless to say, I won't be back. p.s. Soooo came here around 4pm to enjoy hookah mind you this is my first time for hookah. So a couple of me and my girls picked this place. Now hookah doesn't start until 5:30 ok fine, so we ordered drinks we place a food order. So as time is going by our drinks are empty and no food has come out. Mind you we are the ONLY 3 people here. I go in and say hey dont forget about us outside. Where is our food and can we place another drink order? Bartender JOHN steps in and says I got you. Another waitress brings us drinks and let's us know the original waitress never submitted our order frustration starts to build ok fine. Get our 2nd round of drinks and they are not like the first JOHN comes out extremely apologetic of the mess and says he'll take care of us. So by this time its 5:30 where's our hookah. We let John know our flavor he puts it in tells the hookah guy to set up another 15mins goes by and others have arrived and are getting their hookah before us NOW we're pissed. So Matthew was walking around not doing anything we ask him can you go ask the hookah guy to bring our hookah hes kinda hesitate and useless becuz we literally saw him do nothing. Who comes to our rescue JOHN our hero mind you this man is the bartender and coming out of his way to come help us outside becuz mind you NO ONE ELSE came to check on us. We didn't get our hookah until about 6pm which was unacceptable. The supervisor Nina came to talk to us we gave JOHN the praise he deserved he ran the front of the house and back of house. Crazy becuz we wanted to love this place, beautiful setting outside even though we had to ask Matthew to put lights on our table smh.
