Checked out Villa Haven in Tustin while visiting friends, and I'm glad we chose this spot. The big draw for us was that it's not just a restaurant, they also have hookah in the patio. That's a rare combo since most hookah lounges don't focus on good food, and most restaurants don't offer hookah. Villa Haven gave us the best of both worlds! The menu is massive, with everything from mediterranean dishes to Mexican food, burgers, and bar favorites. I went with the lamb chops, and they were excellent. Juicy, flavorful, well-seasoned, and served with a side of tzatziki sauce. We ordered knafeh, which is a warm middle eastern dessert. It came with a side of chocolate sauce. It was rich, sweet, and perfect to share. The hookah was good and well-priced, and our waitress (I wish I remembered her name) was friendly and attentive. Service overall was great. I understand when a place is crowded, you gotta turn the music up to drown out all the chatter - that wasn't the case in this instance. It was loud I couldn't hear the party I was with when we were chatting. outside service wasn't the best, part of our order got forgotten and delayed; waited for the salad and mixed grill for maybe an hour and it didn't come out till we were already full. The tall server wasn't able to hear us well due to how loud it is outside when we told him our order. Hookah is really good but coals don't get changed for long. I saw a beautiful full bar with a lot of TV around the decor inside is really beautiful and whatever it took time to create A+ when we seat down a nice attentive service greeting and welcoming us and she gave us a very good suggestion about food and appetizers. We order our appetizers which is Fries loaded with Shawarma and she gave us some plates to share. That portion was good for appetizer we all share and enjoy. We order our dinner barbecue chicken salad, shrimp sandwich, Shawarma plate and some sides plates salad and french fries and kebab. It was so delicious and the portion like I mentioned before it was big and we couldn't finish our meal. Everything was so good and they have a life, music and people dancing and celebrating some birthdays. All atmosphere was happy and beautiful thank you very much. V.H. is a hidden gem in Tustin, the outdoor ambience and decor is welcoming and beautiful, adding the D.J. music or live music kicks it up to another level. The food is delicious whether you're just getting appetizers or having a main dish. All excellent. The sauces and hummus were actually quite good. Plus we tried the Baklava which was very different and tasty. All in all it looks great. Should do well. Their menu is impressively diverse, blending American comfort favorites with Mediterranean/Middle Eastern flair. So far, I've tried the Asian wings, buffalo wings, calamari, hawawshi, pretzel with cheese, beef shawarma loaded fries, beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches, kofta plate, lamb chops, kunafa with Nutella, om ali, brownie sundae--the list goes on--and every single dish has hit the mark. I also loved the Mediterranean margarita and Strawberry Basil cocktail. The bar is super well-stocked and makes it a great spot for happy hour or game day. The indoor space is massive and welcoming, but the patio is what really stood out--it gave me major Tulum or Sahel vibes, which makes sense once I spoke with the owner.
