I love it here! it's for sure gonna be my go-to breakfast spot when my partner and i are visiting cali. The hostess was incredibly sweet, we checked in and gave our name and number, she said it was gonna be about 25 minute wait, which is totally fine! the place looked jam packed, i think after maybe 10-15 we got seated and she came outside to grab us, which is a small extra step but very thoughtful and definitely appreciated. when we were seated she let us know our waitress was gonna come by soon. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but when she passed by she made sure to let us know she would get to us soon. After taking our order my coffee came out first after about 5 minutes, and another couple of minutes later our food came! it was delicious, my partner got the pan french toast, and i got the pan stuffed french toast. they let us add and substitute as we liked, and it came out great! the fruit on mine tasted fresh, not mushy, slightly glazed and very sweet. my boyfriend liked his, i found mine naturally quite sweet, but it was what i ordered after all - the coffee ultimately evened out my taste buds and i still felt satisfied after the fact. Overall, i will be coming back- and was also really happy to enjoy my breakfast here. It's not a 4.8 restaurant, but after some research a lot of these "bad reviews" came from entitled people that felt like restaurants should be ran like fast food places or 5 star Michelin fine dining. Wait times happen, when your server has 5-8 other tables to serve you won't always get a personalized experience, but they held up incredible through a busy afternoon and were kind no matter what, which is what's important to me. read more

We absolutely love the new location especially since it's not too too far from the previous Long Beach location! This has plenty of parking and more spacious! Food is always good here. I especially like their breakfast-all-day-menu. Of course we will frequent this spot. The old location kept me from eating there often cos parking and wait times were not worth it. I've been to the Pan on, so many occasions over the last several years.y first experiences were at the one in Gardena on Western Avenue. The food there was initially absolutely delicious; however, I did begin to see a change over the years. It seemed the food was not as flavorful, but it was still good and always an appreciated amount. I really like the new Del Amo Blvd location in Long Beach because it is a central location for several of the friends that I go to breakfast or lunch with. I've tried some different menu items the last two times I went and they were good. The service at this location is very professional and friendly; and they seem to get your food out fairly quickly. I definitely would go back to the pan at this location because the ambience is nice and the newness of the restaurant gives it a different feel. I think the Pan gives a good return on your dining investment $$. read more

Really good. I got the original loaded hashbrowns and it was beyond amazing. We also got a pancake. The banana nut another winner. We used to go to the one in Long Beach, but I guess they moved? We were just out in this area and saw it so went in, which I'm glad we did because our waitress Adriana was by far one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Next time I'm in that area I am for sure going here and gonna ask for you to sit in your section. I can't believe how good this was. A little on the pricey side, but worth every penny. The best thing about this place was the service and the ambience. The food was just okay. They have a large menu for specialty pancakes, but I was underwhelmed with the flavor and the amount of blueberries in the blueberry pancakes. The waffle was a $5 upcharge and it didn't have any flavor to the waffle itself (without butter or powdered sugar). The scramble probably should've been presented in a cast iron because it looked sad in the rectangular plate it was presented in. Other note: I spotted a server transferring one open bottle of champagne to another open bottle of champagne. That seems unsanitary IMO. I came here on a Saturday morning and boy was it busy! Despite how crowded they were I never felt rushed, once we were done with our meals I was still able to order 2 more mimosas!!! It was child size. See photo. The eggs were not worth the $4 ( see photo). They forgot the specialty pancakes. Should have just gone to Bake n Broil. No one answers the phone. I tried to place a phone order and they put me on hold. Waited for at least 5 minutes and no one ever came to the phone to take my order. I know you think I'm exaggerating but you can see the photo with the call. I prefer placing my order directly with the restaurant instead of a 3rd party. I ended up placing my order through Yelp and it was routed through Grub Hub. Picked up my order at the time listed in the app and when we got home we discovered the pancakes were missing. The pancakes were for my mother n law and it's her birthday. Only reason we opted for take out is bc we were getting ready for her 60th birthday party. Not a great way to start the day. The place is just overall very unorganized. The parking lot is a mess just like the restaurant. We were told to go to the back register for pick up. There was no one manning the restaurant. Someone walked in after us for a carry out order and they got it before us. They need to have someone manning that register and taking orders for takeout to avoid any confusion. It has been over two years since I was here last, and I took a friend last night for dinner. I had a hard time believing it was the same restaurant. One good thing: the service was excellent! Really outstanding! The food: horrible. No way around it. The clam chowder was inedible, actually tasted sour, like it had spoiled. One spoonful was all I could tolerate. Back it went, at least they didn't charge us for it. The meatloaf was like a flattened teriyaki burger, no resemblance to any meatloaf I have ever eaten. Mashed potatoes were lumpy. INTRO: I will admit that I was dismayed to learn that the Pasadena location had closed during my most recent deployment. I adored the location and the local shopping vibe. Fortunately for fans of the Pan there are other locations thatvare equally worthy of your time and money. My ORDER: I am a creature of habit... the guava cream pancakes are really impossible to complain about. This place sets the standard for how flavor can truly embrace, something simple like... a pancake and make you fail to comprehend how you had survived up until that moment without them in your life. They have a passion fruit lemonade there as well... which means they have my number 2 and number 1 fruits, respectively, represented on their menu. Their turkey bacon is well.prepare and might just be the same.one I prefer to stock at home, which is great. The home fries or whatever they call those scrumptious potatoes are so good that just typing that made me salivate - seriously. PARKING: is just out front and although it can be busy at times, I have never had an issue finding parking in the lot. RECOMMEND? Heck yes. Couple this with the fact the waiting area can only really accommodate six people and then with visitor traffic you want to hang out around the front so you're not forgotten may be problematic. Another fun fact was Sysco and Prudential Overall Supply had their trucks parked along the sides of the building so that made parking (ample but usually crowded) fun.
