Well I finally got a chance to try this place. I've been eying it for a while. I came here at around 1:00pm, so obviously it was after the lunch hour. Server was nice but not attentive. I think they may be under staffed. I placed my order and waited 40 minutes for my food. I ordered the chicken and waffle and the chicken club. I was starving and to wait that long was not ok by me. I will say that the food was good though. So yes come here ! Just be prepared to wait a bit. Order drinks and an appetizer for sure! I have this place 3 out of 5 because I waited too long. So food was 5 stars for sure!!! read more

Food is great perfect, though service isn't good at all there was no checking in throughout my stay here usually servers ask if everythings okay, utensils and napkins not given until asked and slow service even on not so busy days. Servers need better customer service training, would prefer takeout from here than dine in. read more

My friend and I went for weekday breakfast at the new location on Del Amo in Long Beach. My friend and I had experienced bad service at The Pan's previous location in Long Beach. But now, we are satisfied customers because of Arlene, our server! She was so attentive and cheerful. Her incredible positive vibe definitely added to our delicious homestyle comfort food! I have been to multiple locations and I love the menu. More upscale from a common diner with fun drinks and unique brunch options. It's defintely a comfort food place I go. Fun tip - you can get one pancake on the side to try all the unique flavors. Just be prepared because one is still large. read more

Living in Bixby Knolls, The Pan is a very well-known restaurant. Now that I live in Eastvale, I realize how much I miss this place !! The food selection is good. However, my ULTIMATE favorite has to be the deep dish margherita pizza ! We get it almost every time we go. It is so delicious and VERY filling ! I also enjoy getting their Bloody Mary's. They are always made perfectly. I recommend getting the deep dish pizza when you go. You will have some to take home as well. I am so sad that I moved out of Bixby Knolls for this sole purpose. Heading back home after Cali Vibes and needed breakfast. So happy we found this place! It was clean and had a great ambiance! People were enjoying their food and celebrating graduations with their families. We were pleasantly greeted and seated. There are so many delicious options to choose from. We loved that you could upgrade toast to specialty pancakes, satisfying our sweet tooth. Marisela was the best! She let us know all the favorites to help us decide, kept our coffee full, and was very attentive and kind! The house coffee was actually great! Ended up getting loaded hash browns, lemon dream pancakes, and chicken and waffles. Might have been the best piece of chicken I have ever had! The waffle had an amazing berry compote! This food here was quite good. I had the banana peanut butter pancakes (the peanut butter butter was divine, yum) and the Mediterranean omelet, I really enjoyed them. My husband enjoyed his food as well. The service was nice. Our waitress was very attentive to us in general, but she was hospitable. The atmosphere was enjoyable as well. Has a homey like feeling. Omg by far the Long Beach location is the best to me. Although Gardena is good as well. But my first time at long beach the customer service was exceptional, and the manager is the best ever! She is so polite and sweet. I really appreciated her being my waitress didn't even know she was the manager until I tried to leave a compliment at the front desk and they told me she was the manager lol I believe her name is Kayla. read more

Service was great! They gave my dog a water bowl. The loaded hash brown was pretty good I loved that you get a little bit of everything. I ordered the short rib Benedict which was very tasty I loved the corn bread like bread at the bottom the flavors were great my only complaint is that my eggs were hard boiled instead of runny like a poached egg should be. I wasn't a fan of the French toast tasted a little too "bready" to me for a lack of better words. The "special banana pancake was okay just very flat not very fluffy and ended up getting soggy. i went to the pan with a group of friends about 7 of us. We all ordered a meal and side. Good prices for meals. Once we finished and were ready to pay. The gradituities were 20 dollars and the tax was 15 dollars which was absolutely insane for it being a REGULAR restaurant. I just recommend just going if you want to spend or WASTE money. read more

The tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich were easily the best I've ever had! We also tried the green pozole which was tangy and thick. It was delicious but next time I'll remember to ask for easy hominy. We started with the garlic knots, warm and tasty! The tomato dipping sauce was very mild so that even a child or older person could enjoy it. The one downfall was, our pizza was undercooked, completely pale on the bottom and dough like. We wanted to tell our waitress to put it back on the fire, but she was so busy she didn't get a chance to come back. We will definitely be coming back, but will probably skip the pizza. read more

We finally had a chance to try this place which is only a few minutes from our house. I had the yummy French toast with eggs and bacon. It was the perfect breakfast of sweet and salty. The service was great! We got there at 9am and as soon as we left, there was a huge line and the place was already filled. Get there early and give it a try. read more

If you see an available spot on the street, take it!) Walked in and waited 15 mins before someone acknowledged us waiting by the, "Please wait to be seated sign" then we were walked to our table and asked to wait while the waitress cleaned it before we could sit down. So we finally sit down and wait for a bit and a different waiter comes over to get our drink order. Coffee, water, and lemonade. 15 mins later the coffee arrives and it's been spilled all over the creamer. (Fresh creamer is why the have a two-star rating right now). Hopefully, the coffee that's spilled all over my creamer is from my cup of coffee. Now I've poured my creamer added a packet of sugar and no spoon to stir and no straw for my son's lemonade. We asked It took a half-hour for the food to arrive. My son's breakfast had his scrambled eggs sitting a pile of powdered sugar. That's just gross. The pancake should have been on its own plate. The potatoes were cooked in oil that was a little rancid. Kind of a fishy taste. Everything else was really good. Spoon and straw are requested and come after the food is served. WATCH OUT FOR THE PEPPER!!!! The pepper is finely ground and it comes out of the shaker so fast it's very easy to ruin a meal. The water that I ordered with my coffee when I first sat down arrived 10 mins after the food did because I ordered it again. If it was a busy day that'd be a different story. Oh ya. My legs were going numb because of the poorly cushioned seat that had a board pressing into my legs. And the whole time there was a spray bottle of cleaner at our table. I am writing to provide feedback following a recent visit to your restaurant on May 18, 2025 to celebrate my daughter's graduation. While we have enjoyed previous visits to your Long Beach Boulevard location, this experience at your new location left us somewhat disappointed. We arrived without a reservation and experienced a 45-minute wait. While our server was initially pleasant, she appeared rushed and her attentiveness diminished when we asked clarifying questions about the menu. This resulted in several repeat visits to our table and a feeling that our inquiries were somewhat unwelcomed. Regarding our meal, my daughter's order of loaded hash browns was minimal in taste and my house made potatoes with bell peppers and onions were initially served cold. Although a replacement was provided, this second serving was only lukewarm. The replacement of your previously "homemade potatoes" with a different preparation was also disappointing. My biscuits and sausage gravy, however, were excellent. While I appreciate the server's efforts, the combination of rushed service, initially cold food, and the altered potato preparation impacted our overall dining experience. I hope that you will consider this feedback as an opportunity to improve service standards and clarify your menu descriptions. Yikes. My step-mom is in town and we always try to eat breakfast at a different restaurant every time she visits. I've lived a couple of miles from The Pan for years and finally decided we should try it out. I found the Yelp waitlist option and got us set up. The wait time said it should be between 60 - 80 minutes. No problem. That's why we did the online sign-in. We arrived at the recommended time and ended up waiting an additional half an hour. After we finally made it to the table the waitress took our order and said we'd have our food soon. She checked in every 15-20 minutes or so to say that our food would be right up. On the last check-in she said, "Your food really IS the next one up now." ... So the rest of the time she was just walking around telling us we'd be getting our food soon because it seemed like the right noises to make? About 50 minutes after we sat down we got our food. And it was solidly mediocre. My step-mom and I both got the french toast. It was tough and dry. My boyfriend's omelet seemed fine. He didn't say anything. We came in for brunch at 11:00, devoured our food in minutes when it finally got to us because we were so hungry from all of that waiting. Once we finally got to pay for our meal we ended up leaving at around 1:30. I get that they're busy, but honestly the food isn't worth the wait. We won't be going back. read more

I recently visited The Pan, and overall, it was a great experience! Parking is a bit tight for the amount of customers this place draws, but there is street parking available, though the neighborhood is a bit rough. Walking into the restaurant, I was immediately struck by how cute and spacious it was. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was friendly from the start. For this visit, we ordered the "Original" Loaded Hash Browns, Banana Pancakes, Tiramisu Pancakes, and Steak 'N' Eggs. The "Original" Loaded Hash Browns: These were flavorful and definitely lived up to the "loaded" name. With ketchup and hot sauce, they were perfect! Steak 'N' Eggs: The steak was cooked perfectly medium, and the eggs were good. The potatoes, however, were a bit soggy. I asked for some A1 sauce to add more flavor. Banana Pancakes: Delicious! They hit the spot. Tiramisu Pancakes: Unfortunately, these weren't my favorite. They were a bit soggy and too overly sweet for my liking. Our service was efficient, and we got our food in a decent amount of time. I've been to the Gardena location and am so much more impressed by Long Beach's restaurant. Much more spacious and the decor is country farm chic. I went on a Friday morning for breakfast with a friend and we had no wait at all. It was fairly busy but customer service by the waiters and waitresses was great and kept the restaurant flowing smoothly. We ordered mimosas and the ultimate hashbrowns with a specialty pancake each. The pancakes are quite large so 1 was enough for the both of us since we were also sharing the hashbrowns. The raspberry pancakes were unreal. So delicious. And the ultimate hashbrowns are always incredible. The sausage, bacon, egg combo with the chipotle aioli are so perfect. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because parking is very limited, even on a Friday morning. I'm guessing weekends are even busier. Also, throughout our meal there were flies buzzing around which didn't add much of a positive note to our experience. I had a wonderful experience at The Pan on Del Amo Blvd. and Long Beach Blvd. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming smile. My server, Lilith, was incredibly friendly and attentive (I even joked that she looked a bit like Chappell Roan haha)! I made sure to let her know how much I appreciated her great service. Keep up the awesome work! It's so refreshing to visit a restaurant that truly values good customer service. I ordered the cheeseburger and upgraded to the chili cheese fries. The burger was tasty, but oh boy, those chili cheese fries were delicious! They were so good, I couldn't even finish the burger. First time there so I'm only giving it a 3 star. They have a large menu thus the 3 star. So much more food to try. I had the green chili hash. It wasn't bad. It had no heat to taste. The taste of the chili verde was very subtle but the pork was cooked very well. They charge you extra for pico de gallo or extra sauce. You get one slice of toast that's not butter so by the time you get it the toast was already cold to butter. My friend had the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. She really enjoyed it but said it needed pickles. They did not charge extra for pickles. It appeared they didn't have enough staff as there were empty tables with a 35-45 minute wait to be seated. To start off they forgot we were on the waiting list , we had to remind them since they were sitting other people Down . Once we told them we've have been waiting , he Didn't even apologize and just said you can just have a table then. Once we finally order it took the long to bring it out. The waitress said sorry about it but the manager decided it would be a brilliant idea to give us our burger without their fries , Because she said she didn't want the burgers to get cold . Like what the hell ???!!!! don't you guys do everything together?? When I told her that we were upset and my boyfriend was already finished eating his burger she said will you can have it to go then. I never do Yelp reviews. But this place gets one from me because I love it that much. Diana is awesome! Very upbeat, helpful, and attentive. The rest of the staff are excellent as well - always helpful, enthusiastic, and friendly. The food is always amazing. Loaded hash browns--which is pretty much their signature entree--as well as the Lumberjack breakfast are my go-tos. I also have yet to find a place whose pancakes are at the same level as the Pan's. They are seriously mouth-watering. Chocolate peanut butter pancakes--get in my bellay! On the weekend mornings especially, you will have to wait. Sometimes 45 minutes to an hour. My family and I drove 20 minutes to try this place. We were all so excited to try it because it was recommended to us. We checked their hours in advance and it said they closed at 9pm. I checked Google, Apple Maps, and Yelp and no where did it said they closed at 2pm. Either way we arrived at 11:30 and they told us they weren't taking people anymore and that they were already closed and completely full. but they close at 2pm when its only 11:30. We also checked inside there were sitting areas and they had many empty tables, but they were "reserved" The guy that was in the front telling us this was so rude and had an attitude. The Pan recently relocated, a strategic decision resulting in a larger venue with increased parking availability, although parking remains somewhat problematic compared to the previous location. Due to the expanded space, patrons should anticipate waiting times of at least 40 minutes or more. Despite the bustling environment, the service was commendable considering the level of business. Unfortunately, my usual indulgence of unlimited mimosas, priced at $22, has been discontinued. Instead, they now offer a $33 bottle of champagne with an additional $4 for orange juice. One of the best brunch/breakfast spots in Long Beach. Went in about 1:26pm with absolutely no wait time. Came in with a party of 4, as soon as we were seated Laura took our drink orders, we had two cocktails, a mimosa, and a michelada and let me just tell you that the michelada Laura prepared for us had to be one of the BEST ones I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend with a modelo. We all had the loaded hash brows with eggs over easy, the taste was amazing, add a little sour creme and avocado and it's best breakfast for a hang over. I recently had breakfast at The Pan and was really impressed with both the food and the service. Our server, Arlene, was fantastic from the moment we sat down. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. I ordered the steak and eggs, and it was delicious--the steak was perfectly cooked and the eggs were just right (im a hard critic on steak and eggs). Arlene checked in on us at the perfect times, making sure we had everything we needed without hovering. I visited the Pan this morning with a friend and had an incredibly frustrating experience. After being seated, we waited over 30-40 minutes without any service. Despite making eye contact and trying to get the attention of the staff, they continually walked past us, ignoring our presence entirely. We eventually decided to leave, and as we walked out, we overheard the staff whispering about us. It was clear they knew we were there but chose not to greet or serve us. The hostess seemed out of it, which added to the overall unprofessional atmosphere. We left feeling completely disregarded and will not be returning. Today I had the pleasure of trying this establishment for the first time. I loved the look and was promptly greated by a nice young man named Steven. I was unsure on what to order due to everything sounded so good. My server Laura gave me a great suggestion. I had the shrimp and grits, flavor was good, but only received like a scoop of grits covered with their sauce, told the wItress I needed some more grits, they charged me for a additional side of grits. My mom had the crab cakes w/eggs benefits the inside of the crab meat was real dark so she didn't like or want them, mom told the waitress and their was nothing, they even charged $2.00 for blackberry butter and $8.00 for a chicken breast. Could have used some sort of lighter element. Everything was too savory on the plate. The plate was screaming for something fresh on it. The cafe the olla was so good. A little on the sweet side but that is what is is. The chilaquiles were good too. I would say maybe add more salsa or get something else because it was way too much chips. This is def something you would share for the table a not got for yourself. I would come back to try something without chips. It's really cute inside. Over a decade ago, I volunteered for a special event in Long Beach and was given a volunteer shirt to wear during the event. The shirt has the words "Long Beach", and it was a good thing I saved this shirt because it really did save me $16.49 on an order of pasta! I only recently learned about 908 Day when I picked up a 908 Day booklet from a different business in Long Beach. After perusing said booklet and all the deals listed, I determined that, besides a free car wash, Tony's Kitchen offered the best deal: Any pasta for $9.08 from 2 to 8 PM, though there was a stipulation that stated some items, including steak, would be excluded. I arrived just after 7 PM, and it was just about packed! There were a couple of tables open, but nobody at the front desk to greet me. I went up to the counter in the rear of the restaurant to ask about the 908 Day promo since it mentioned what I said earlier about some pastas being excluded from the $9.08 deal. 908 Day booklet in hand, I spoke to a younger server and asked her which of the pastas would be excluded from the $9.08 deal, and she mentioned all of the pastas on the menu would be eligible for that pricing. She then asked if I wanted to dine in or order to go. I initially said "to go", but then she said the deal was dine-in only even though the booklet didn't specify that as a stipulation. Well, okay I guess, but it didn't leave the best first impression, that's for sure. She told me I'd be seated in a bit, and so I sauntered back to the front desk to wait until I got seated at a table for two closest to the front door with less lighting compared to all the other tables for four. The other, older server handed me a menu for me to look over. I studied the menu and was intent on getting a $24 pasta dish since $24 was the highest price tag on their pasta menu. Furthermore, I saw that all but one of those dishes would use chicken as the main protein; the odd one out was the Creamy Chipotle Shrimp, which sounded like a winning combo that I had to go for. The pastas with chicken sounded good too, but the shrimp was calling my name. As I was looking through the menu, I noticed a party of four was seated at a table right in front of me, and they were given glasses of water by the younger server before the older server came back to take my order. Hey! What about me? Well, it only took a minute more for the older server to come take my order. Even though shrimp is not the same as steak, I wanted to confirm with her that the Creamy Chipotle Shrimp would still be eligible for the $9.08 pricing, to which she answered affirmatively, and that was my final decision. She then asked, much to my surprise, if I wanted for here or to go. I didn't want to walk back to my car through a dark alley in the dark, so I chose "to go". She then took the menu and went back to relay my order to the kitchen crew. And so I waited. They had two TVs, one showing the LA Dodgers and the other showing LA Angels, so that kept me company while I was scrolling through my phone during my wait. I wish I had remembered to ask how long it would take for them to prepare my order, but I timed the wait to be approximately 20 minutes before the older server approached me with a takeout bag. I hadn't paid up to this point, so a part of me thought that an unethical customer could just snatch the order from her hands and run out. Of course, I'd never do such a thing, but she did instruct me to go up to the front to pay. Wouldn't it have been easier to just pay up front instead of asking me to take a seat at a table? I guess they like to do things the long way. When she rang me up, she did specify I had to be wearing "Long Beach", which was clearly present on my shirt, and so I had to point it out. I almost thought she was going to say "not good enough", but luckily, she still honored the 908 Day pricing. When I got home, I saw the pasta came in an aluminum pie tin with a plastic cover, and a piece of garlic bread was wrapped in aluminum foil. However, they didn't include utensils?! Surely, they could have included at least a fork, don't you think? The portion size seemed quite small for $24, but reasonable for $9.08 + tax. However, I counted only 5 pieces of shrimp in the pasta; I thought there would have been a few more for that price point, but at least the shrimp was peeled. The pasta was cooked al dente, and that creamy chipotle sauce was packed with so much flavor that I believe they added too much salt to the sauce. Garlic bread was good too, especially when I used it to scoop up the remaining sauce on the pie tin after I finished the pasta. Even though I enjoyed the pasta, I didn't enjoy my overall experience enough to give a 4th star. I'd consider a return visit for 908 Day next year if they offer the same deal, but not so much if I have to pay full price.

I will say it's one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks that I've ever had. Also one of the best Cinnamon Rolls I've had all year. Inside is quite large and has many different seating options from counter, to booth, to table, to outdoor. We chose to sit at the counter and the only issue we had was that no one came to take our order or bring us water for about 10+ minutes. After that, though, our server was very polite and everything came out fast after that. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but it was easy for us to find free street parking close by. The menu is very large, and one thing that we noticed was how popular their bakery items were. Their pie and cake slices were flying off the shelves, in slice and whole form. We must've saw over two dozen cake orders happen in just a short time we were there. I started off the meal with the Cinnamon Roll, and it was giant and delicious. I really liked the glaze on it and enjoyed every bite. I wish they would not add raisins, that would be my only request, but still it was very nice. I followed that with a Country Fried Steak and honestly thought it was incredible. It was one of the best that I've had ever, and I think it was due to the quality of the meat and the breading. The steak was juicy and every part about it was just great. The hashbrowns were also extra crispy and the combo was just perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will say that it's the best Chicken Fried Steak in Los Angeles county.

We opted for the red velvet cake. They have so many options for cakes and cupcakes though. Although they don't decorate cakes, it was beautiful and delicious. The restaurant itself is also nice. I have gone in a couple of times for lunch and breakfast. It can get quite full though, so be prepared for that. Parking can also be a bit rough since there isn't a parking lot. However, I think on certain days, you can park in the lot across the street (pay attention to signage). I'll have to return to eat soon and do a proper review of the restaurant.
