Well, to begin, it's Easter Sunday. My first mistake. The wait was 1.5 hr for a party of 2-3. Parking was crazy, patrons parked however they wanted to! It was also a rainy day! Fast-forward, I ordered the two pancakes, two bacon, two sausages, and over cooked potatoes! My date had the shrimp and cheesy grits. Now the grits were good, I was pleasantly surprised ,however, they were smothered in too much red! sauce, so much so you could barely savor the taste of the grits! Next time, we will ask for sauce to be separate . Now, with the shrimp and grits entrees, that's all you get for $21, no type of bread,that is extra. The pancake breakfast was $20. I feel this was very pricey for what we received. 61$ for two people for breakfast in North Long Beach . But they were packed, and folk didn't seem to mind the higher priced menu items! Their menu has a variety of items to choose from. They closed at 2 pm , and people were steady coming,but were turned away! I don't know if this will change. By the way, each location is closed on Tuesdays! I feel service just ok today,probably because of the crowd. The server was not that attentive! I would give them another visit in the future to try other entrees. But with those prices not as frequent as I normally would dine out. The building remains freshly remodeled from the previous owner (Bebe's) great atmosphere due to the remodel! Bathrooms were nice and clean. So go see for yourselves. These are just my honest observations. I have been dining out to high-end to low-end restaurants for over 45 years and have been in restaurant management as well! So I know foods. Like many of their other locations, the ambiance is spot on. Lots of mismatched decor making it very fun and eclectic. We went on a Thursday morning and to our surprise it was actually pretty busy. As a party of 5, it took about 25 minutes to get us seated. Upon seating, we waited about 10 more minutes to have the waitress over. I've eaten at other locations and their food was very good, so I expected the same here. Sadly, I was underwhelmed and disappointed in that I had been raving about their food to my husband for some time now. A short stack of pancakes were very dry, over cooked and their syrup was very artificial. (Maybe the syrup being artificial is a preference though because I love maple syrup with my pancakes) I got the chorizo scramble and it was also overcooked and dry. Their tortillas were, all but one, stiff. My husband got the short rib Benedict, which was the best thing on the table. Even still, it was supposed to come with a poached egg, and it wasn't. The lil fella kids plate was a decent amount of food though. All in all, it was ok. Overcooked food. Overpriced as well for what we got in my opinion. read more

I just went to this restaurant on my moms bday trip & it was okay okay. The drinks were good but the good was mid. Then do top of it off I left my nice glasses on the table & my sister went right back for them & they were "gone" within 10 mins. Definitely DO NOT recommend this restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly, but it took about 15 minutes before anyone even came to ask what we wanted to drink .. A friend and I were in the area and stumbled upon this place. We originally thought about going to the place across from it but The Pan looked more busy so we decided to check out their menu. I like that they had so many different choices. They had pizzas, sandwiches, salads, quesadilla and all types of breakfast foods. And the best thing is they serve breakfast all day. I went with their blue cheese wedge salad and buffalo wings. The wedge salad was super fresh and had lots of bacon which I was happy for. The buffalo wings was also super yummy. My GF got their Philly sandwich and pastrami fries. She also loved her food. Service was excellent. We had a nice chat with one of the servers who was really nice and told us a lot about the restaurant and its other locations. We happened to drive past the Pan by chance because there was freeway closure and the GPS happened to directed us in the Pan's direction. The "Serves Breakfast All Day" sign caught our eye as well as the unique design of the building. We got there around 9 am on a Saturday and this place got very busy after we were seated. There is a wide variety of food and I would say that their dishes are anything but ordinary. I had the Country Benedict, which is fried chicken breast cut in half with 2 poached eggs and country gravy instead of a Hollandaise Sauce. My son had the Pastrami and Egg Sandwich, where the pastrami was falling off the sides of the sandwich. My wife opened for a lunch sandwich called the Lucky's Clucky (kind of a chicken club) and my son's girlfriend had the Pitas Chilquiles. Both of them started eating their dishes before we could get pictures. Regardless, all the food had was extremely tasty and service was excellent! Living in Bixby Knolls, The Pan is a very well-known restaurant. Now that I live in Eastvale, I realize how much I miss this place !! The food selection is good. However, my ULTIMATE favorite has to be the deep dish margherita pizza ! We get it almost every time we go. It is so delicious and VERY filling ! I also enjoy getting their Bloody Mary's. They are always made perfectly. I recommend getting the deep dish pizza when you go. You will have some to take home as well. I am so sad that I moved out of Bixby Knolls for this sole purpose. Well I finally got a chance to try this place. I've been eying it for a while. I came here at around 1:00pm, so obviously it was after the lunch hour. Server was nice but not attentive. I think they may be under staffed. I placed my order and waited 40 minutes for my food. I ordered the chicken and waffle and the chicken club. I was starving and to wait that long was not ok by me. It was delicious but next time I'll remember to ask for easy hominy. We started with the garlic knots, warm and tasty! Service was great! They gave my dog a water bowl. The loaded hash brown was pretty good I loved that you get a little bit of everything. I ordered the short rib Benedict which was very tasty I loved the corn bread like bread at the bottom the flavors were great my only complaint is that my eggs were hard boiled instead of runny like a poached egg should be. I wasn't a fan of the French toast tasted a little too "bready" to me for a lack of better words. The "special banana pancake was okay just very flat not very fluffy and ended up getting soggy.
